Rice was grossly under cooked - it was crunchy. They were out of cheese (they always seem to be out of something) and the lids for the small queso cups they put aluminum foil over the top on a to-go order. Employees didn't seem to want to be there, several just standing around while the whole restaurant was a disaster - food ALL over the prep area, trash cans over flowing and tables dirty. I mention my concerns to who I assume was the manager on duty and he didn't even acknowledge me. I just don't think I'll go back. So now we're stuck in a real-life escape room with overflowing trash cans and no way out. I had the worst restaurant experience probably of my life at the new Chipotle in Harrisonburg this past Sunday. Thought it couldn't get any worse than the original location, so we were excited and hopeful when the second one opened. Went in for the first time Sunday evening and they were out of fajita veggies. It was mother's day and our family had worked hard all weekend and were tired, and my wife just wanted Chipotle. And she wanted honey chicken with white rice and fajita veggies. I was told it would be 10 minutes for fajita veggies. We waited... 20 minutes later they brought out some fajita veggies. Then when we went to order they said they were out of white rice, despite there being two large tubs of cooked white rice behind the server. Apparently that was for takeout orders. Then he said they were out of the chicken as well. We walked out. It was super disappointing to say the least. Then we went to the other location figuring it couldn't get any worse than that. I was wrong. They were out of so many things they were closed for walk-in business and only talking online orders. My phone battery had died so I couldn't place an online order. This restaurant is definitely Does NOT meet the Chipotle standards I have experienced in multiple locations in various states. They were busy with online orders which I was told took priority over us regular folks standing 35 minutes in line. When we asked the first crew member to take our order, she said she had to take the online orders first. In fact, she started 6 orders before she started our order. I don't go often once every 3 months and the one time that I actually go to chipotle there's no signs indicating that they do not take cash anymore so I go through the line that is extremely long and get to the register and I cannot get my food because they don't take cash Isn't that kind of discrimination??? Haven't had their shit together all year. They're the only chipotle that I got to that actively tries to give you as small portions as possible. I started going back when they were doing in person orders because actually being there and asking for extra gets you normal portions for what you're paying. Now they just do mobile orders and they always put as little as possible in the bowl and forget one or two ingredients. If you go there pay attention to how haphazardly they put together online orders. Idk if they're doing it to make money or because they can't handle the order volume or what but it's ridiculous. I think management needs replacing. It's been like this all year. I'm guessing they're not very involved and not very disciplined with teaching employees quality control. I used to love chipotle but the last 3 times my wife and I have placed orders for pickup our portion sizes have been absolutely pathetic. This restaurant was disgusting. when we walked in, every table was dirty. The floors were filthy. I had to ask for someone to wipe off a table. As he wiped the table, he brushed the food scraps on to the chairs. I then asked him to wipe the chairs. The counter tops where they were serving food were dirty. I asked if they ever cleaned the floors and he said they did after everyone left for the evening. If we hadn't agreed to meet a young couple who had chosen the restaurant, we would have left. Do not go to this restaurant. This is the absolute worst chipotle I have ever been to, and I have been to stores all up and down the East Coast. It has always been horrible, and this is because the JMU students overcrowd it and the staff cannot handle the amount of online orders coming in with the never ending line inside the store. Chipotle needs to open a store inside JMU's campus to avoid this problem. Don't waste your time ordering from their app or website. Multiple times I've ordered and multiple times I've been disappointed. Not only do they forget side items like drinks, guac, and queso which you pay extra for, but they can't even put basic items in your food anymore. In my most recent order, I finished building my custom burrito. When I was ready to eat it, I was extremely disappointed. All that was in my burrito was my protein, the wrong kind of rice, and beans. No vegetables, no cheese, and no guac or queso. At that point the food that I had on my table didn't look any better than something I could have made in 5 minutes. The worst part was the compensation. When I complained, all they gave me was 2 free sides of guac and a free side of queso for 2 messed up burritos. It's frustrating to pay almost 30 dollars and get nothing but 2 small, sad, and plain looking burritos and only get free sides to make up for that. I'm writing this so others can avoid this and Chipotle could maybe make some changes. read more

Ordered 5 entree's on the app, waited for an hour just to text my DoorDasher to see if he would actually arrive soon. He replied to me that the staff at this location were not doing what they could to resolve the order issue. After our wait reached 2 and a half hours, I decided to show up myself. The woman at the register was nasty to the DoorDash deliverer, he claimed that he was not able to get a hold of a manager to speak to for a whole of 50 minutes. Unacceptable. When I arrived the woman at the register had just told him she had no resolution for him, but when I asked by myself she reprinted the order and began to ask other employees for the very first time what had happened to the order. They discovered that the order had been taken by another dasher and threw together what was meant to be my order. On the app, we were very specific as to how we wanted the food made. The meals were not adequate in serving size and were half-made despite the amount of time the staff had to remake the order to the order specifications provided by us, the paying customers. I'd like for the manager and staff of this location to ask themselves how they can better mitigate responsibilities. Pushing off a DoorDasher's request puts both the customers and the dasher behind, not to mention their service affects the Dasher's pay. DoorDashers and employees are meant to work together to resolve issues. A refund for this order is the last of my requests as a disappointed customer. read more

This was the second time we went to this Chipotle. The first time, I was on W30 and they had the new "compliant" bowl and they were out of near everything that went into the bowl, so we left. Second time, and almost a year later, we went around 8pm. Same experience. The guy in front of me ordered a burrito and then another employee said they were out of cheese. The person making the burrito said well! I guess we won't be making anymore quesadillas tonight! So the guy asked for just a little bit of queso so he could have SOME cheese. The lady told him she would have to charge him for a full queso. I'm up next and order the Garlic Guajilla Steak Salad. This individual reminds me that they have no cheese. I said, "ok". She then put lettuce in the bowl and said, "We don't have the vinaigrette either". I said, "ok"? She said, " I'm just making sure because some people like it on the side". I said, "Do I have other options"? She said, "No". Then she asked if I wanted white or brown rice, black beans or pinto beans, queso, etc. My husband ordered a Guajilla Steak Bowl and they barely put any steak in it. They had beer on the menu but when I asked they again said they didn't have any "anymore". I got a cup for water and he got a Coke. Paid $32 for this and when we turned to find a place to sit and eat not ONE table had been cleaned, likely the entire shift! I am not a picky person and I understand finding good staff is hard to come by since COVID however, I have to ask the franchise owner, WHAT ARE YOU DOING? I would be embarrassed. If I could put less than 1 star I would. Ordered online and when we arrived to the restaurant they informed us no guacamole or chips. That's fine we're just hungry so we grab our food and go.
