If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I don't understand how a business could be run like this. I ordered online and it's as if they did not even read the order. Every single thing I ordered was wrong! First of all, I'm allergic to cilantro so I always get the plain rice. I tried calling to double check that the rice in my bowl was plain. I called for a half hour and they would not answer! When I went to the place, they said the phone is in the back and they can't hear it and they had to remake mine. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! I asked for extra sour cream, they put no sour cream. By the time I got home I realized every order for my family was wrong. EVERY ONE. and again, I tried calling but no one answered. Walked in this afternoon and the place was a disaster, from walking to the counter and and picking behind the counter: I really wondered about the safety of my eating there. It looked dirty everywhere. I noticed somebody wiping the cutter board and in the same "wipe" clean around the aluminium trays with the same hand-cloth, before taking a broom and swiping the floor. A 10 year old could have done better... You are worried about the Corona Virus? I am worried about whatever bad stuff I could get there.... No woman around, and a group of kids not doing much ! I love chipotle but this particular location is absolutely horrendous. I cannot come to this location without something going wrong. I always do mobile ordering and they never include the dressings in the salad bags, they always forget or add different items into my bowls, and the store is a mess. They also never double bag my orders and three times I have picked up my chipotle bags only for my food to completely fall out of the bottom and go to waste. This is absolutely ridiculous. It would be one thing if this happened once or twice but every single time I go there something happens. Red bank and Eatontown are far superior when it comes to orders and organization, so I do not understand why the Holmdel location is any different. I love Chipotle but this location just misses the mark constantly. The food is always just slightly off tasting compared to other Chipotle locations. The chips tend to be stale, the guacamole is brown or over salted, and they always put WAY too much sour cream on your bowl. Staff is friendly but the food is just sub-par. read more

Ate @ Chipotle for the first time in my life and was pleasantly surprised. Chicken Burrito was fresh and tasty. About the only complaint was regarding staff. I know it's fast food but out of the 4 people working the counter not one smile or any warm greeting to customers. I don't eat Mexican food often but I'd go back when the mood strikes. The last 3 times I have ordered from this restaurant I did not get what I paid for. Missing extras such as guacamole or protein (chicken, steak, etc). They are literally stealing my money. Oh the kinks, oh how they need to get worked out. My kids turned me on to Chipolte a while back, so I've come to really enjoy food in a bowl with hints of heat. Been there twice since they opened about 2-3 weeks ago. 1st time, they forgot the salsa for the chips and salsa (I think they work hand in hand because of the name).... 2nd time, ordered on line (half & half), oh boy was I excited, except my half of the chorizo was quite crispy (too crispy, like a chip with no salsa crispy).... I'm sure the kinks will get worked out and they'll do well. In the meantime, I'll wait and make sure as I normally get a really good bowl of food wherever my travels bring me. read more

It's Chipotle. Very delicious and the speed of service has greatly improved the last few weeks. The first 2 weeks were rough as the lines were long and the service was slow. They know how to properly wrap a burrito and the servers have been giving hefty servings. Starting to see the same employees a lot of the time which means they now have a solid staff of competent people. Training only goes so far so they get a pass from me for the first few weeks. read more

It was very dirty here. Food and garbage everywhere. One worker did apologize without me saying anything and said "there was a lot of kids here". But after reading the reviews this seems like the norm. I had to wait for my online pickup which seems like what's the point and why do they not put it on the racks where it seems to supposed to go in front of the counter so u do not have to wait. Food was ok. It was much better at the one I used to always go to in Florida. It wasn't bad..but wasn't as good as I'm used to. Will try the one in Eatontown which is 30 minutes away as opposed to this one that is 5 minutes away. One plus is I asked for more sour cream due to after asking for extra sour cream in my online order they did not give me extra, but when I asked for more the friendly employee gave me a container of it with a smile. Easily the worst Chipotle I have ever had to deal with (and I've been to a LOT of chipotles in different states). First off- the place is always FILTHY. The food quality compared to the other Chipotles I've been to is so substandard it's ridiculous. That's the point of a chain- consistency. This location is consistently awful. The meat is always burnt and the overly fatty, the rice is under cooked, beans are over cooked and the chips are always soggy OR stale (it's actually incredible how bad this location is). The line is, as stated previously, disgusting. So much cross contamination and just slop all over. The portions are very small and vary from small to smaller. The people on the line aren't usually rude but the manager/owner is. I've never interacted with him personally but I have witnessed him be outwardly rude to customers and even berating his own staff while customers are present. Incredibly unprofessional and uncomfortable. They have closed and opened for indoor dining at least 2x now since the pandemic and I'm sure that has everything to do with the employees not wearing masks properly and how dirty this location is when we're not in the middle of a public health crisis. I only go to this location when I don't feel like driving the half hour to the Woodbridge location but going forward... I will just be taking the trek. At least it will be worth the drive. read more

Everytime I come to this location I get bottle necked at the register. The only cashier who works well is the one with the blue hair, she's very friendly and efficient. Today they ran out of quarters. I said just give Me two dimes and a nickel. I was told that the only form of change that they use is quarters. I was told I would get my change but that it would take a few minutes for the supervisor to access the money. Unreal. read more

Three of us were trying to pick up a late lunch at this Chipotle. When we walked in, the staff (those behind the counter and a man sitting at one of the tables) almost simultaneously YELLED out 'ON LINE ORDERS ONLY!!! ON LINE ORDERS ONLY!!! ONLINE ORDERS ONLY!!!'. We left and went elsewhere. If that was the new policy, there was no way of knowing that since the website states that the Holmdel location was open for delivery AND take out. Also, there was no sign on the door stating this so we figured we could order from the counter like we have done at other places recently. Someone placed at the door telling you about this policy or at least a staff that didn't chase you away when you enter would go a long way towards courteous service. They need to take the customer service lessons that Chick-Fil-A staff obviously took in making customers feel welcomed and appreciated. Have eaten at many Chipotles across the country and they are almost always very clean and staffed with friendly, efficient employees. Was visiting in the area and wanted to eat healthy and, so, dropped in at this one. It was not a busy time at all (Sunday mid-afternoon), but every (yes, every) table was dirty in some way, the floor was dirty, and the fountain/utensil area was not in good shape. Employees on break were eating in the main area (not a problem) and leaving their stuff abandoned on the table (a problem). Chips were stale (have never had that before at any Chipotle). Mention of the stale chips to staff was met with the usual "do you want a refund?" and then "do you want another bag?" (I wanted neither...I wanted fresh chips). Staff was unfriendly (no response after a "hello" and a "thank you" from me). A somewhat-later attempt at cleaning the floor was interrupted while the employee stopped to chat with the ones on break.
