I never like to give places a bad review, I always try to give places a second chance...but this place is the worst chipotle I have ever been to. Staff is rude and no one greets you or offers to help when you walk in the door. I came in and there was no one in line and there were three employees standing there talking to each other and didn't acknowledge me even when I made eye contact with the one multiple times. When I was finally acknowledged, the guy didn't even talk to me, he just stared. To make matters worse, he barely put any food into my bowl even when I specifically asked for extras of things. I've never seen that little of rice and protein in a bowl. The place is dirty as well. $11 bucks for basically an empty bowl and rude staff? No thanks. read more

This is the absolute worst Chipotle I have ever had. The Sofritas obviously have been on the warming table since they opened today and maybe before that. Somehow even the brown rice and pinto beans were terrible. The guacamole is inedible and tastes like it's probably going to make me throw up in a bit. Staff was at least friendly... Went in around 5 pm. The food line looked dirty, not like grimy dirty but scraps of food everywhere dirty, half full food tins with dried food rings on the inside. But, people rave about Chipotle and I'd never been, so o gave it a go. Ended up picking a protein based on least driest looking item. Everything on the line just looked like it had been there awhile, beans had a dried skin on the top, proteins looked dried out, etc. Took it home, didn't eat half of it. Extremely disappointed in this Chipotle. Ordered food at noon on a Saturday, so they should have had ample time to cook hot fresh food. Got my food and all 4 dishes had cold meat, as if they had been sitting out for hours. The burrito was half the size I'm used to at other Chipotles, the fajita veggies were just 2 onions, the taste of everyone's dish was off, and chips were comically stale. When on the road we are always happy to see a Chipotle close to the highway. Unfortunately this Chipotle does not meet expectations. For being the first in the door at 10:45; the place was not clean, most of the meats looked like they were from the day before, and the steak was not even ready. I've never had a problem with this location. They're always friendly and quick when I go there. I ordered online for pickup today and I went to grab my bag and left. I just got home and took my burrito and guac out of the bag and on the burrito a sweet little message reading "Have a great day! ENJOY!" on it with an avocado and smiley face drawn on and a smiley face on the guac. I've never had messages written on the foil or container before so seeing this made me smile. I was having a bad day so I really enjoyed seeing that message. Thank you to whoever wrote it! EDIT: I just started eating the guac and picked up the container and on the side it says "you're awesome!" so if I could give more than 5 stars I definitely would. They really need to train their employees at this location. I've been there twice now and both times disappointed. My burrito had the left over burnt chicken that had clearly been sitting there all day. Wrapped very loose and not full like they should be. All the rice and sour cream on one end. Chicken on the other. All the employees seem young and untrained. I've never had a bad bad experience at a chipotle and now two at this location.... Probably won't be back.. read more

I stop by this Chipotle often when I am in Janesville and the service is always fast and friendly. I love Chipotle because it meets so many dietary needs and it's delicious. Yesterday we ordered catering for our party of 20. I ordered in online (easy peasy) two days ahead. In the day of catering, I called two hours before my scheduled pick up and asked if we could get it an hour early. They were happy to do it! We set everything up at home... it was easy, hot, and fresh. It stayed hot for hours! It was perfect for everyone in our group. And then to top it off, today I got a call from Caleb at Chipotle "just to follow up that everything went well". I will definitely use Chipotle for catering again -- and recommend it to others! read more

I am so glad that Janesville joined the 21st century and got a Chipotle! The ingredients are fresh and the helpings are huge. Its a nice break from the other choices in Janesville like, oh, McDonald's and Taco Bell. This Chipotle is located next to the new Diamond Center on front of Menards. The building is brand new and super modern looking. They offer a sit down area that could be a little bigger. However, they have outdoor seating as well. The staff seem to enjoy their jobs. This location sucks! It took 15 minutes to get through the line, the workers were moving pretty slow. My fiancé and I rudely got intersected with an online order, causing us to wait even longer. I got the last of the veggie scrapings and wasn't offered fresh ones. My fiancé didn't even ask for veggies because the remains looked so gross. The bathroom was nasty and it looked like the toilet bowl hasn't been cleaned in months. Will not be back here. read more

During this lockdown, we ordered through the app. Of course this gives them the free reign to get the order wrong, not put any salsa at all, and give only a few onions when you asked for fajitas. Food is good and what you expect from Chipotle but I am not in love with the atmosphere at this location. Industrial as always but extremely loud and uncomfortable. It's as if they are going the old McD route - using garish colors to make people uncomfortable and not want to spend a lot of time - except Chipotle uses hard metal and wood furnishings and loud music. I have given this restaurant a few honest tries. It continues to fail me in taste (my personal opinion), but the worst part for me is the carelessness with which your food is packed to go.
