Literally the worst Chipotle I have ever been to. Multiple times I have ordered delivery from here and without fail it comes completely wrong. From the wrong meat to wrong salsa and they always forget to add guacamole. Frustrating when you pay for delivery, tip and guacamole. After asking I was informed there was no ice so I settled on water, which was fine. Few other customers seemed annoyed by the sloppy burritos being made. Overall it's just a chipotle. This is their new location on E Wash. I had the chicken burrito with corn salsa and guacamole. I could really taste the cilantro they mixed in with the rice, mmm, so good. The music is horrible, and its a little on the loud side in there, but the burritos make you forget this. read more

Worst chipotle ever! They made the sloppiest burrito didn't mark which was which when they placed them in the bag, the foil didn't even fully wrap them. Their chips were extremely stale. They were cleaning the counter next to my burrito, the cleaning rag almost touched my unwrapped burrito. I've never seen so many careless employees. read more

Chipotle is chipotle is chipotle, right? You either prefer it to its cousin Qdoba or you don't. Personally, I'm a Chipotle man through and through for both the quality of the food and their socially conscious business practices (http://www.chipotle.com/en-US/fwi/fwi.aspx). This particular steel-covered eatery, however, tops my personal list. I visit with fair regularity for lunch and am always surprised at the level of customer service. The workers seem genuinely happy to be at work! If I smiled my way into my cubicle like that everyday, the world would be my oyster! Or my burrito in this case. Even the girl with excitingly multi-colored eye shadow on every day seems truly content despite clearly having abandoned her dream of working as Lil' Kim's make up artist. Anyways, the food is good enough for four stars and the always exceptional customer service and up-beat vibe the workers serve up earns them that additional 1 star bump. I recently moved to the east side from previously being on the West. Chipotle is always a good, reliable source when I need something quickly to tame my blood sugar. This location has been disappointing. In the several times that I have been here, they never seem to have their supplies together. No guacamole made, ran out of rice or chicken, which makes the line long and the food less satisfying. Great food, but service is just inconsistent. read more

In addition, we were overcharged for our kids meals. There are plenty of restaurant options in Madison...where the restaurant is clean and the employees are happy to serve food and do their job with a smile. we visited this location years ago when my son attended UW as it was convenient off I-90 so when we had to detour due to a recent accident and wanted lunch i remembered this location - boy was it disappointing! the employees were friendly but they were out of the fajita pepper/veggies an odd thing IMO to be out of ....i have not had chipotle in a while so was looking forward to it - then they put the lettuce on our 2 bowls and literally there were maybe 5 pieces and that is it - 5 little pieces! we are from IL and now i realize our locations are much more generous! also the rice was not cooked all the way it was hard in places..... plus had to potty and there was so much stuff on the floor outside the bathrooms - just feels like there is no pride here and looking at past reviews i see this place has gone downhill - a shame - i will not visit again. Needed a quick late dinner and stopped here since we know what to expect. The food is always a tasty and a relatively healthy option. I am mainly writing this review to applaud the employees who were working just before closing time on Thursday, May 30th. Despite the fact that we dashed in with a few minutes to spare they provided excellent, unhurried service. This, despite the fact that I am sure they were looking forward to cleaning up and getting home. The staff was particularly nice without it seeming forced. A job very well done. We liked the burritos too. Side note: I worked for a foodbank in a different city and a Chipotle location there donated some cooked chicken each week to be distributed to a community kitchen. If you need a reason to choose this company over similar options, that fact won me over. read more

They just don't do it the way the other chipotles I've been. My chips always taste like chemicals or something. I think they clean the counter they place them on and don't let it dry before putting the chips on them. Also the employees are really young and aren't trained enough before being put on the floor. I love Chipotle, however this Chipotle has the absolute WORST service I've ever experienced. And it's happened a couple times. I keep trying to give them a chance because I love the food so much, but I will NEVER come to this establishment again. We've stopped here several times and the service has always been sub par compared to the the many other chipotles across the Midwest we've visited. However, this past visit will be our last. After being glared at by the employees behind the counter for changing our 4 month old baby, on a changing pad, on the table. An employee approached us after we had already completed the task. I had my daughter positioned to nurse - discretely mind you, I'm not about revealing myself in public, just trying to feed my daughter - which was strike one: don't approach a nursing mother, especially when she is trying to get her child to latch, it takes a lot of coordination while in public. I was relieved when I realized she was not telling me I couldn't nurse my daughter there, because there is no way I am about to sit on the toilet in a chipotle bathroom to breastfeed, but then I was extremely disappointed when she told us we could not change our daughter there. If it is your store's policy for me to not change my daughter's diaper, on a pad, in your restaurant then you better get a changing station in at least one of your bathrooms, preferably BOTH the men's and women's (why is it assumed that only women change their baby's diapers anyway?) because I sure as heck am not going to change my baby on your dirty bathroom floor. Also, if this is against your restaurant's policy, then approach me in the beginning, don't gawk at us, wait until all is said and done, and then tell us you weren't going to say anything but then decided you couldn't help yourself and do it anyway. Also, I advise this store to leave it to the manager, who still did not handle my concerns with the way we were treated or my concerns with the stores lack of diaper changing accommodations well and spent far too much time defending her employee, but was at least better than the young, ignorant girl who had no tact, class, professionalism or hospitality in her approach. Also, what was super strange about the encounter, was that the girl approached me, did not even acknowledge my husband, when he was the one who changed her diaper, not me. I ran out to the car and got up and down from the table several times. Why she felt the need to talk about it with me, when I was in the middle of trying to nurse my daughter, and not my husband, who was the one actually associated with the incident is beyond me. Chipotle, you need to look into this Madison location, and bring it up to speed on how to treat and accommodate your loyal FAMILY customers. read more

I LOVE Chipotle! I first got addicted when I was Monterey, CA and in the Air Force. The company was very good to military service members and would often have freebie days where you could get a free burrito if you showed your military ID. I'm not sure if they do that here in Madison, but they will forever hold a special place for me for being so kind to service members in Cali! What I do know is that the staff in the Madison location is very friendly, the restaurant is always clean, and the food is always amazing! When I walk in, I'm usually greeted immediately with a warm hello, even if they are busy and there's a long line. It's the fast meal cure for my family as it's way healthier, tastier, and fresher than anything else I could pick up for a similar price. So many places downgrade their food as they expand and grow, and I've been loyal to Chipotle for 7 years now and the burritos are just as yummy as they were back when I first discovered them! read more

I've been going to both chipotles in town several times a week for at least a few years now. I live by one and work by the other. It's safe to say I love the whole foods and responsibly raised meats. I will never get sick of the delicious food chipotle dishes out. Lately however, I've been getting frustrated with the consistency of the portions. There are days where I go in and they fill my burrito bowl to the point where they almost can't put the lid on. There are other days, and it's been happening more often lately, where it's about half that amount or less. I get the exact same thing every time I go in so I should get roughly the same amount of food every time. The amount of people in line and the time of day seems to be irrelevant. I asked for a little extra rice today because I never get beans and the "extra" was a tiny scoop of probably 20 grains of rice. I suspect the workers are told to give smaller portions so ease the pressure on the cooks but there are times where I go in at 9pm to an empty restaurant and the same thing happens. I don't go to chipotle to gamble on whether not I'll have a full stomach. All I ask for is some consistency. I won't give up quite yet but if it continues I'll take my business elsewhere. I don't like qdoba nearly as much but at least I leave there with a full stomach. Gotta fix this chipotle. read more

Went here on 10/8/2015, and Shawn (spelling?) was the best! We eat out 5 nights a week, vacation all over the states and international, and I don't remember the last time any restaurant staff person was so helpful and conscientious. This man went above and beyond, and they were closing in minutes! Most restaurant staff aren't thrilled to see customers arrive shortly before closing, and their negativity is usually quite apparent. In stark contrast, Shawn gave us a warm and enthusiastic greeting and he graciously accommodated all of our special requests!!! Last but not least, he verified that we were happy with his service before sending us off to the cashier. Last time I went to a chipotle, the staff was barely responsive; so it was much to our delight to enjoy the great service Shawn provided. My freshman son was still in his football uniform and sporting a brand new cast on his freshly broken arm. After we left the hospital down the road we were hungry and bummed about son's football injury. Chipotle wasn't our first choice, in fact we pulled in to several spots across the highway, but only Chipotle was still open. Lucky for us! We left Chipotle feeling much better due to Shawn's wonderful and friendly service. Chipotle has always had good freshly prepared ingredients, but for the first time it was prepared exactly how we wanted it! read more

I went to Chipotle on the east Side of Madison. The burrito was significantly smaller than I had ever received at that or other Chipotle locations. I let them know via their web site. They sent me a card for a free burrito (Which I was not expecting). I decided to visit the establishment again about two weeks later. Unfortunately, the experience was worse than the first. When they were wrapping up my burrito the tortilla ripped. Instead of wrapping it in a new tortilla they just wrapped it in a tinfoil wrapper. It was a mess!!! When I attempted to eat the burrito I noticed that I had a hair in my mouth. I pulled it out and showed it to one of the workers. She quickly stated "it is your hair sir!" I have an issue with this because I have very little hair. I am extremely confident that it was not mine. Additionally, even if the hair was mine she handled the situation poorly. This is disappointing because I used to frequent the store about once a week (It used to be very good!). I will never visit this establishment again. read more
