Ever since I started to cut out rice, pasta, and cheese from my diet , I have been ordering side orders of steak and chicken from Chipotle on days when I am craving for protein. Chipotle makes it super easy to order directly from their app and I save so much time to be able to pick up once it is ready. This was my first time ordering from Chipotle in Monrovia. I read a lot of negative reviews about bad service and long lines so I was initially a bit hesitant about going there. However, it was getting late and this was the closest location to my house. Warning: parking is very bad because it is located in the same shopping center as other restaurants and stores such as Kohl's and Trader Joe's. My order was ready by the time I got there. There was a long line inside at 8:50pm and the reviews about the restaurant being a mess were true. The trash cans were full and there were napkins and forks scattered all over by the fountain drink area. However, I was acknowledged by a staff upon approaching the pick up area and she assisted me right away. The steak was actually very good, much better than other locations I have ordered from. Today's visit wasn't great. Upon entering patio it was a mess. Napkins, food, on floor hadn't need cleaned or swept. Outside trash was filled overflowing Inside was a mess as well. 5 staff members were behind counter and one could've been cleaning up dinning room. A man had to clean his own table Ordered two chicken bowls and they had not refreshed items that were almost out. Had to ask staff to restock. Manager seemed uptight and overwhelmed. This is my go to Chipotle, as the other one nearby never cooks their rice properly. Have never had a real issue, yes sometimes they skimp on rice, beans and meat, but service is usually on point. Tonight was a whole different experience! Throw your gum out, stop chewing it while dealing with guests. Perhaps focus on who's in front of you rather than what your coworker is doing serving the guest in front of her. Don't give me attitude when you ask if I'd like anything thing else and I ask for corn, sour cream and cheese and you only partially hear me, because your not paying attention and start putting the lid on my bowl and I say excuse me, I'd like sour cream and cheese and you get an attitude. If I could give this negative -100 stars I would . This was geniunely terrible the food, as in the meat was cold and barely gave any portions. Not only that the girl with curly hair and darker skin throwing the food into the bowl and slamming the spoons down. I get it we all want to go home early but that's not the way to do it. The ambiance was obvious, GET OUT we walked in and walked out. Such a terrible experience and please for the sake of everyone DONT DO MOBILE ORDERS you might as well ask for the kids menu with how small the scoops were. It's 9:30 and you close at 11pm. How are you already out of white rice? Why are all the specialty drinks empty and only fountain drinks available? Why are you out of chicken (some grilling) but not ready. I placed a mobile order for a chicken bowl, and the pick up was at 6:20pm. I arrived at 6:20pm, but was told they were behind with mobile orders because they ran out of chicken. Have been wanting to come to try the new smoked brisket and finally did so with a friend today. Ordered a bowl with the brisket. They did not have any queso or fajita veggies, was a little disappointed. Ended up having quite a bit left over. I took my leftovers home and made a burrito for dinner. The brisket was super tender, great flavor with a little bit of spice to it. I also liked that there was that hint of barbecue flavor from it as well. I know it's leaving soon, but I would definitely order it again. Went to the fountain to get our drinks and there was no straws so I went upfront to ask somebody. One of the girls asked me what I wanted and I told her I needed some straws and she told me they're over on fountain island which I told her no. She copped a little bit of an attitude with me because she needed to go into the back room to get straws. Whatever. I think I love Chipotle in general! The burrito bowl is so worth it. The quality of the food is how I remembered it when I came to a Chipotle years ago. I came close to closing time and the counters where they make the food was very messy. There was food and spills all over. The customer service wasn't the best either. This location has completely gone downhill since the new management took over. The difference is painfully obvious the moment you walk in. Chaotic, unprofessional, and poorly run from top to bottom. Nothing feels organized anymore, and the overall atmosphere is a mess. I asked one of the employees if there had been any changes, and they told me there's a new manager named Cristian. Honestly, it explains everything. Whoever is running this place now has zero control over it. This used to be my go-to spot after the gym, and I was a regular for a long time. I haven't been back since learning about the management change, and I don't plan to anytime soon. Looking back, it all makes sense. I was constantly seeing new employees every single visit, which is a huge red flag. The turnover alone tells you something is seriously wrong behind the scenes. Even leads me to ask if the staff is being treated unfairly! It's true, you can't have happy customers if you don't have happy employees. Corporate seriously needs to start paying attention to who they put in charge of their stores. Bad management ruins everything, no matter how good the brand is. This location continues to amaze with its terrible service. Not based on just one time but several times over the past year. There can be no line and it can still take 10 minutes to get through and pay for your food because the staff is so bad. When it's not crowded, there's often no one at the service bar and the person at the mobile bar doesn't come over to help. When service does arrive it's with an attitude and then you're passed off to someone else who can operate the register who's usually too busy talking to another employee. read more

This is my local Chipotle - the closest one to where I live and they've always been really great. Service is quick, the workers are always friendly, and the portion sizes have never been a huge issue. If I ever felt like they didn't give enough of anything, I just ask if they can add a little more. The food here is a litttle salty, but not a huge issue. Everything here is pretty consistent with other chipotles. There's both indoor and outdoor seating. They have restrooms for customers. Parking is generally good - the area that the Chipotle is located has a little less parking, but I've never had an issue finding a spot. read more

I placed an order on the app for pickup, it said it would be ready at 6:10. I checked in when I arrived and it wasn't ready. The restaurant was in total disarray. I realized that the line for walk up's was moving faster than online orders. People that walked in to order food after I arrived got their orders before I did which I ordered 15 minutes before walking in. The waiting wasn't the worst part. The team was unprofessional and the place was a mess. As I look through other reviews, it seems like it's an ongoing issue, and they must not care. I actually took a picture of the floor and kept taking pictures as more trash was added. It was initially sad and then it was so unbelievable that it was amusing. They kept walking over it, not thinking to pick it up. The counter was also disgusting. I asked for extra cheese and they gave me about an inch of it. I took two bites and I was done. If I can give 0 star I would. One hour before they close, they are out of everything, no chicken, no white rice. They don't even have salad dressing. I The staffs are just chatting away in the kitchen when they see a line started forming. I don't have a choice but to get steak because there is no other options. Ice is always dirty for drinks and the cleanliness needs improving. Everything else is fine but the ice always has blacks specks in it.

Good value and good tasting. Service hasn't always been the best but I would say reasonable.

This location is a clean location and serves a good amount of food with friendly customer service. I believe it's the assistant manager Chris is super helpful explaining the options available when it comes to getting the build your own chicken plates for a group of friends or getting the catering option and answering more questions that I had as well. So we live very close and this has always been a lunch spot or after gym spot . But this place is going down hill for sure . The last 2 times we went absolutely horrible customer service everyone is either faded out there mind or just don't want to work there at all, very rude. Went in tonight to grab a quick bite.
