Great location. Friendly staff, clean inside. The food quality is consistent. Ingredients are fresh and orders have been accurate.

Due to COVID safety there is no dine-in. The chairs are stacked up and there are markers for social distancing. There's quite a bit of room inside so I felt safe ordering and waiting for my food. I ordered the sweet and spicy chicken plate. You have the option of white rice or brown rice. It also includes salad and half an orange. When I got home I noticed they also included their waba sauce, hot sauce and hand sanitizer. I thought it was a nice touch. Overall the food tasted good. They advertise being healthy. They even have a healthy menu which seems to be their current special. Not bad. New Year. New diet haha. I would come again.

Honestly I'm so disappointed. I usually go every week. I had never been more grossed out. If you see on the carrot I took that out of the beef. I had found another 2 of those on my beef while I was digging in my food. The only thing I could think is that I look like legs. Ugh I'm done with this location.

Hmmm this is disappointing for me. I asked my husband to buy me food and I specifically asked for this since I've been craving for Waba for so long. I usually buy it from the one in Arroyo Pkwy, Pasadena since I work around there and I always had a great experience. I was anticipating this fresh grilled chicken and soft ribeye steak but instead I was welcomed with dry and burnt meal with a bitter aftertaste. I'm so sad!! I was really looking forward for this. I can't even save it with the waba sauce they provide.

My local WaBa location. Located in one of the big plazas in Monrovia. Small parking in front. Staff were very friendly and gave me a bunch of sauces to try. Food was ready fast. Chicken Bowl - $7.19 - Good flavor in the chicken. I love their hot sauces. The kiddos eat this up like crazy.

    WaBa Grill. Very clean!

Looking for a vegan menu change and so I had heard that WaBa had some great Tofu options. I had the Tofu Bowl but I wish I would have ordered the Tofu vegetable bowl. Either way my bowl was very delicious and putting on the WaBa sauce can make anything taste pretty damn good. My wife had the half & half bowl with white meat for the chicken portion ad they still charge a full dollar [not half] but she was very happy. The food came out pretty fast and everything was hot and delicious, oh I said that already. This location is very clean and it is a great value because I left full and my wife took some home.

Lobster: we enjoyed the Colette special sauce, it was aromatic with the basil, good level of spice, and lobster meat was cooked perfect. Salt and pepper calamari: great crunch, wish it had a little more salt & pepper & garlic seasoning most pieces weren't coated, but the calamari texture had the perfect chew. Crispy vermicelli with beef: loved the crispy noodles and soft beef stir fry textures together, definitely ask for chili oil with this dish, it needs that extra umph of flavor for the noodles. Salted egg yolk pumpkin: I normally love this dish, only wished the outside was crispier, got soggy fast and with how thick these are cut you want the crispy exterior, but flavor was good. Only thing that made me feel a bit "eh" was the chipped plateware they have and continue to use. Service - wonderful! Everyone was so friendly and had nice customer service. They even helped recommend dishes and also share opinions on what we shouldn't order which I loved. Parking - free parking lot! There are a few spaces right in front of the restaurant. I'm sure they also know English and Mandarin as well. We came for their dinner special on a weekday. Their special menu had two different tiers of food prices - $10.99 and $12.99. The specials usually come with a soup and a rice as well, but the soup was sold out by dinner time. We ordered Chicken and Corn over Rice, Stir-Fried Fish Filet with Black Bean Sauce, Beef Chow Fun with Soy Sauce, Grilled Lemon Grass Pork Chop. Whenever I come to these type of restaurants, I usually order the same type of items. The chicken and corn over rice at this restaurant was just OK. It was typical and nothing special, but I still enjoyed it. The Stir-Fried Fish Filet was good and went well with the white rice. The beef Chow Fun is standard and the same as everywhere else. Can't go wrong with this staple. The one you dish that we did try was the grilled lemongrass pork chop. We don't usually order this but decided to give it a try this time. It was decent but more on the savory side. Overall, we were glad to find a restaurant with dinner specials. Xiao Long Bao's flavor profile tasted more like steamed dumplings. Beef roll didn't taste as good as I remembered (probably because it had slightly less hoisin sauce), but it was still a good beef roll nonetheless. * Personally G4 Black Pepper Beef Fried Udon ($15.99) was a surprising discovery and an S-tier dish. Basically think of it as beef chow fun, but replace flat noodles with udon and add egg and bell pepper - excellent flavor profile. C3 Pan Fried Pork Bao (6 pieces - $13.00) were comparable to the ones from Kang Kang Food Court. 4.5 stars for the food with 4 items enough to feed 3 to 4 adults. I would say their noodle dishes like Beef Noodle Soup / Black Pepper Beef Fried Udon / Fujian Style Fried Vermicelli are slightly better than their dumpling dishes. Bump it up to 5-star for the excellent service. P.S. - There's another new location in Diamond Bar.

8/29/2026: Wow! Second visit almost exactly 1 year later, and this place still doesn't disappoint!…read more We pulled in to the parking lot around 8pm on a Saturday night, and the very ample parking lot was packed to the gills. There are several restaurants in the lot, but Mr. Dragon Noodle House seemed to be the busiest with several groups of people waiting outside for a table. I called and was told they're open until 9pm, but if you arrive before 8:40pm they will still seat you and you can order and dine. He quoted a 10-20 minute wait which didn't seem possible, but we took a chance and placed our name on the waitlist. I love the tablets that most restaurants in SGV use. It's so efficient! The host handed us a laminated menu and an order form after we checked in so we could figure out what we wanted even before we sat down. They get high marks for efficiency! Within 10 minutes, we were called to our waiting table. They are a well oiled machine! As soon as a party leaves, a team of 3 smiling staff converge on the table to clear the dishes, clean the table and re-set for the next patrons. We ordered our drinks and a Popcorn Chicken appetizer. Hubby says this is the best popcorn chicken he's had to date, and he's a bit of a snob! No dipping sauces needed. He ordered "No Spicy" and they brought chili powder on the side. They fried what I believe was fresh basil with the chicken and it was so tasty, I would request extra next time! It's well seasoned and crispy. The portion is easily generous enough to share with 4 or more people. Their 0% Sugar Green Tea is served icy cold in a huge beer stein, and is so refreshing! A perfect accompaniment to the meal. It comes in many flavors as well but I didn't want anything sweet. We shared an order of their Hot Oil Shrimp, Pork & Cabbage wontons in a bowl. Delicious, but if you're not a heat seeker don't forget to request it "mild". Now for what I considered the star of the table, their House Special Beef Noodle Soup. This is a dish that I love and am always looking for the best bowl.. and Mr Dragon is high up there. Don't come at me, but we had heard the hype about Corner Beef Noodle House and tried theirs last year. In an evening without a crowd we were virtually ignored when we walked in and I had to accost someone to seat us. The soup wasn't nearly as good as Mr Dragon, and their service couldn't compare. I'll have to give them one more chance. There was no room for improvement at Mr Dragon Noodle House. Beefy broth, tender chunks of beef and perfectly bouncy noodles. Yum!
