Fluffy delicious breakfast burrito came with amazing salsa on the side.

We got a breakfast burrito here before our hike. Huge burrito with amazing salsa on the side. Great service and I loved sitting at the outdoor "bar".

    Carne Asada Taco to go

Good food, great price, and friendly employees. JB Burgers offers breakfast, burgers, hot dogs, salads, sandwiches, and American and Mexican style meals. I tend to order the same thing to go. Order at the window or call ahead to place your order. Credit card accepted. FOOD ORDERED - Cheeseburger ($5.45). A wide and thin burger that tastes fresh and good without being greasy. I usually order everything on it except for onion, so it comes with lettuce, tomato, pickle, and housemade thousand island dressing. My fiance sometimes gets the regular cheeseburger and adds bacon for $2. The bacon is thick and crispy, but adds a lot of oil. - Breakfast Burrito with bacon ($10 + $2.5 avocado). A solid breakfast burrito option. The scrambled eggs were well done, and the large pieces of diced bacon were thick and crispy. However, the slabs of creamy russet potato, melted cheese, and soft tortilla made the overall texture a bit soft for my liking. The burrito was served with a tangy, herby green salsa that kind of tasted like tomatillo and Italian dressing. - Hard Shell Ground Beef Taco ($4.50). This had ground beef, cold cheese, lettuce, tomato, and raw onion. While the taco was tasty, it was excessively oily. After wrapping it up in napkins to drain for 5 minutes, it still doused my fingers in oil! - Carne Asada Taco ($5.50). It was alright. The taste was kind of like an American-Mexican taco. The portion was large, essentially two tacos in one. Beef, lettuce, and green salsa topped double corn tortillas. The carne asada was just okay, a little lacking in grill flavor. SIDES ORDERED - Chili Cheese Fries ($6.45 - small). This is my kryptonite. The savory chili tastes like a brown gravy with chunks of ground beef. The fries stay somewhat crispy under the generous topping of chili and shredded cheddar cheese. - Zucchini Fries ($6.45). It only comes in one size: a huge bag that serves at least 2 people. The breading adheres well to the tender zucchini spears, which have a wonderful vegetal flavor. It pairs well with their thick and creamy ranch. The only thing that could be better is maybe more herbs in the ranch. - Onion Rings ($6.45). I didn't enjoy these. The onion was bland and basically just tasted like the breadcrumb batter.

Burger and fries. It got the job done, no complaints!

It's an honest little burger joint filled with the nostalgic feeling of small town America and days long past. Admittedly nothing really to write home about, but nothing to complain about either. The staff was pleasant to interact with. I'd definitely be happy to return here. Parking is not difficult to obtain in the area. There is a restroom present, but it's out in the back lot, and it appears you may need to ask for a key to use it.

The size of my grilled Chicken!

Very tasty and plentiful sandwiches. Steak was good sized . Grilled chicken was moist and too much for me to eat. I took 1/2 home and shared with the dog. Good plain tea, brewed. We came here because all regular places were closed. Love supporting locals, Thank you

Great neighborhood burger spot! I get my hair done at Agence Salon and eye this place every time I drive by. Finally stopped by and I'm so happy I did. I was trying to find something satisfying that wouldn't be too heavy. This was perfect. I ate half while heading to my next errand and the rest when I got home. It was delicious!! The grilled chicken was moist and flavorful. Loaded with bacon, cheese, tomatoes and lettuce. The bread was toasted but not too hard... didn't cut the roof of my mouth. I'll definitely be back for a breakfast burrito in the near future.

I love onion rings and this place is top 3 on my list of best in LA. Always hot, crunchy, and never greasy. The burgers here are good, but when compared to other burger options in LA, I can only give this place a 4/5.

I think I found my new favorite local hamburger spot...JB Burger in downtown Monrovia. We ordered: - Fried Zucchini - Onion ring - Chicken club sandwich - Chili cheese fries - double cheeseburger Everything was really good, but I really really love their fried zucchini and their chili cheese fries is definitely one of the best around San Gabriel Valley area. I'm already craving it now that I'm writing the review. Will most likely be back next week for some more fried zucchini and chili cheese fries. Please make sure to check them out if you are near the Monrovia area. Friendly service, good prices, and you can go walk around old Town Monrovia.

J B Burger is located in Old Town Monrovia. Their slogan is "good and plenty at a reasonable price" and I concur that is indeed what I experienced. This was one of the best burger joints I've been to in the 626 area. They have a small price parking lot, but I opted for street parking. I went on a Saturday evening and there were many customers inside. You order from the inside or outside, and can find seating indoor. It's a narrow restaurant, but there are still a good amount of tables perfect for smaller parties. I got to try the cheese burger for $5.45 and the small chili cheese fries for $6.45. The food came out very quickly, so this is perfect for a quick meal. Additionally, the portions are what you'd expect for that price. I was blown away by the flavors. The burger is truly an American dinner cheese burger with the perfect amount of vegetables to patty and sauce. They did not skim on the chili sauce for the fries - every fry was sauced and cheesed. Overall, with the delicious taste and great prices, I'd definitely come back.

Visited this place after a morning bike ride with my buddy. Service was fast, the venue wasn't busy at all at 8 in the morning on a weekday, and the food was pretty cheap when the budget is tight! We got the regular breakfast platter, which wasn't anything to really rave about. The hash could be a little bit crispier as they were a little mushy when I got them, but the sourdough bread was toasted very nicely. Regardless it was decent food, at a good price!

2025 Monrovia Car Show. This great looking truck was parked in front of JB Burgers.

I arrived for the 2025 Monrovia Car Show about 9:30 am. Before I looked at all the cars I was hungry and felt like try JB Burgers. I ordered their Mix Breakfast Burrito. It comes with ham, sausage, bacon, eggs, cheese and potatoes. I substituted beans instead of potatoes. After waiting about 10 minutes my order was called. I sat outside, because I had my dog Frankie with me. The burrito came with homemade salsa. Taking my first bit the flavors of the, good quality bacon, eggs and cheese were first to tickled my tastebuds. Their beans were awesome and the sausage and ham were equally delicious and for the great price for under $12 I just could not complain. Their salsa was good but it did not have too much heat. On my next visit I'll have to try one of their cheese burgers.

The pastrami cheeseburger unfortunately had no charred flavor at all. It didn't even have any grill marks, so I'm not sure what the open flame was reserved for. What tasted like thousand island dressing overpowered the beef and pastrami, so I mostly tasted the sweet sauce. Well, we got what we were craving, but I was left disappointed. That's just me expecting too much from a $11. burger, from a place that has the same name as me, and the word 'Burger' in its name.

This place has some items that are amazing and other ones that you can just do without…read more I came here for Dine La for lunch and here's what I felt about their menu. First off, the takoyaki octopus balls were full of flavor. I feel that this place does them really well. You don't feel overwhelmed by any seafood tastes and instead, you get well balanced flavor throughout every bite with the combination of the ball itself, the sauces and the flakes on top. Next is the omurice. The egg is cooked to perfection and tastes absolutely amazing. The curry, however, which was recommended by the waiter over the Demi glaze, tasted exactly like the Vermont curry cube you get in the grocery store, so I'm not sure why he recommended that over the Demi glaze. The fried rice within the omurice was alright too. Originally, I wanted to get the tonkatsu omurice but got it on the side as the choice wasn't available for the lunch menu. I would suggest doing without the tonkatsu because it was dry and there's a million and one places that can do tonkatsu better than this place. Honestly, I wish I had the opportunity to cut the omurice myself and choose how much curry I put on it, but the staff did that instead, which I guess made for a good video, but took away from my innate desires to cut the egg on my own haha. Next, the ramen tasted pretty basic like what you could get at any ramen shop. For the chicken wings, I've never had chicken wings in this flavor. They were really really good and I would definitely recommend the wings. For the desserts, I enjoyed both the matcha and the snow globe. I'm not sure what I enjoyed more, however. The snow globe is a gelatin and it doesn't really have too much flavor until you get to the parts with the flower. Plus the little clear balls have a nice flavor and texture. For the matcha, it has an interesting texture and then an interestingly light, yet deep matcha flavor. Oh the drinks. The Thai tea tastes exactly like how it does everywhere else. The amazing lemonade is a lemonade with a few slight modifications, like with cucumber and maybe some other things as well. For the service, it's pretty good here. Everyone is pretty attentive. There are three things at the table, such as cayenne pepper and two other bowls you can add to your dishes to add flavor. I forgot the name of the one I liked but it looked kind of like pork floss or loose tea, and that one had a lot of flavor. I think what's most appealing about this place is the ambiance because you can like sit in a honeycomb, there's fancy designs everywhere and you feel like you're in a different place. I think it's a good restaurant but it's kind of weird how some things here are amazing and some are just okay.

We ordered the Youpo Noodles with Beef Brisket, Marinated Beef Sandwich, and Cumin Lamb Sandwich. The marinated beef sandwich was the standout. It immediately took me back to eating rou jia mo from a street cart while walking around Xi'an, which is about the highest compliment I can give it. The noodles were freshly handmade, wonderfully springy, and completely soaked with flavor. The beef brisket made them even more satisfying. The cumin lamb sandwich was the only item I felt slightly on the fence about. The filling was good, but I personally wanted a little more seasoning and a stronger cumin flavor. The interior is spacious and clean, service was fast and painless, and there is plenty of parking in the lot. Service was exceptionally friendly and generally attentive, though it was a bit of a drag getting my bill settled as the lone server kept getting distracted by other tables and customers. Well, I got the State burger with no pickles and no thousand island sauce. I added bacon for $2.00 and swapped out the potato chips for fries for $1.50. It's happy hour all day until dinner, so the burger was discounted from $16 to $12, which is a good deal. The burger tasted great. The fries were good. The freshness of the lettuce and tomato on the burger actually stood out. I never realized how often you get slightly wilting lettuce at other places until I bit into this super fresh, crisp lettuce. I know that's a weird thing to mention, but it stood out. The only complaint I actually had was the amount of meat used in the burger patty. I think it's very small. They also sell a double smash burger, and I almost felt like this was a smash burger, cause the patty is so thin. It's not, but it's a disappointingly small amount of meat. Still, if you want drinks, it's a lovely looking bar. As I said, service is great. And I will come back for the burger. It's good and cheap, though I would gladly pay five dollars more for more meat. This time the burger was all I tried, but I can recommend. Give it a try for their all afternoon happy hour and the drinks.
