The employees were not nice and really skimping on what they put in my bowl. I only got brown rice, chicken, pico, and lettuce. I asked for cilantro and was told they've never done that. Well, I always get cilantro added to my bowl at any Chipotle I eat at, especially with the lack of other items I could put in my bowl. My husband ordered 2 drinks. I paid. No cups. Apparently, she didn't add them to our order, so she rang it up and had me pull out my card for another transaction. She then told me she could get me cilantro on the side. I said yes please. The tall man in the kitchen told her no! The tables were all disgusting. We had to clean it ourselves so that we could eat. Tall man from the kitchen walked past all the tables, which were empty and needed cleaning, then went back into the kitchen ignoring them. The most anti social group I've come across. I don't need a conversation but a hello would have been great. Walked in and no one was in line, the guy behind the counter was filling food and just completely ignored me. The girl finally came out and was less than enthused to be taking my order. Was annoyed when I asked for my dressing for my salad and really annoyed when i told her that I wanted sour cream and she had gotten me salsa because she wasn't listening. Not sure about the past... This was my first time visiting and this is the best chipotle I've been to. Not only was the customer service amazing, friendly, kind, but the food was great quality and full of flavor. I'm from MD, and anytime I ask for a small amount of something I get eye rolls and they don't do it, ALSO most chipotle's do not give you the portion of meat you pay for unlike this one. The employee that took care of me gave huge portions of everything and small portions of what I asked for. The lady at the cash register was very kind to me given my pregnancy hormones. All this location is worried about at 8:30 at night is how to close down early. There was hardly any food in the line and a gentleman was standing on top of one of the grills to scrub at the ceilings, TWO HOURS before close. I'd understand if I came in at 10:30 when you close at 11, but if your location is open to 11 and you are staffed, I should be able to order without issues at 8:30. I walked in and a man yelled someone was on the line, then a girl came up to start my order, but then passed me off to another worker because 'she was about to leave'. The entire experience made it seem like I was intruding on their closing duties and make it clear they would rather NOT have any business. Closing down a whole THREE hours early when you are staffed with over 5 people in the kitchen is ridiculous. read more

Came in for a school event, and was treated horribly. When we got there, we asked for beef and when we saw it put on the burrito me and my family were confused as to why it looked how it did and when we asked about it we were told that that's exactly how it's supposed to look (which is completely fine) but then we were given a dirty look. Okay but not the greatest chipotle i've been to. Staff is great, and always friendly! However, the last time nick and i went it wasn't very tasty. I ordered guac with my bowl & there wasn't any in the little bar area where they usually get it from so the lady goes and gets a to go cup of guac from the fridge that was literally brown from sitting and dumped it onto the bowl.. (i wouldn't have minded waiting an extra 10 mins if that meant getting good quality quac.) So don't get me wrong I love chipotle I could eat chipotle every day. I have been to this establishment multiple times, however this most recent experience I went to order food and to pay for it my credit card was not read properly I was told to stand aside. I waited and waited and waited upon asking where my food was I was told by the general manager at the establishment that "I stood out of line and my food had been thrown in the trash (Manager: Jenna, Cashier: Chiole) been thrown away. I was at a loss for words, I could not believe the attitude and all around rudeness 101 for the customer service. I then even went a step further and asked for "chipotle numbers" that I could call. When I did so, after having the number provided, the district manager answered the cordless phone while I was waiting at a tabletop area. Absolutely, top drawer, worst service I've ever had the opportunity to experience. Manager never apologized or offered a comp for he meal. Several dash door drivers approached after my encounter and were also humiliated by the manager stated that they were too busy. After asking for the district along with the regional manager's number they only provided number that ended up being that to the store number. It's very difficult for me to write this review because I love chipotle however this is by far one of the absolute worst of the worst chipotle's that I've ever had the opportunity to visit. I think that the manager needed some hard core recurrent training through the company customer service 101 get it together lady. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area I would highly recommend such as jersey mikes. Go check out their Philly cheesesteak if you want good customer service. A smiling face, a great attitude, and people consistently greeting you properly, I highly recommend this establishment. read more

Should have checked the Yelp reviews before we stopped, but I figured it's chipotle can't be that bad. Ordered two orders of the kids build your own tacos and one burrito, all steak. Most of the steak was just hunks of fat and gristle that couldn't be eaten. We picked through the kids taco meat before assembling and only gave them the pieces of actual meat, an entire orders worth was gristle and fat. Husband and I split the burrito so we had to just spit out the nasty pieces. I thought about taking a picture but didn't want to post partially chewed food. Tables were dirty, soda machine was broken, which happens but they should have mentioned that before I bought a bunch of fountain drinks. I placed an order through Doordash for my bosses for three quesadillas and I was confident that the order would be fine because I order from Chipotle 2-3 times a week. Mishap #1 was that everything came in individual packaging when it usually comes in the kids meal box but I do understand when the inventory runs out. Totally got over it. Mishap #2,3,4, the side options were all put inside the quesadillas when it's usually just the meat. Tortillas were old and meat tasted old as well. When I called to speak the manager Stephanie, she said there was a new person "who wasn't trained correctly" who did the order. She said she would refund the order but when I stated I needed to have them redo the order because it was gross, she said I WOULD be charged for that order and she was not going to comp the inconvenience because she already refunded me. I worked at Chipotle when I was younger and also was a manager of a chipotle style restaurant called Freebirds and we would ALWAYS comp if we messed up this bad. No one in the back preparing more meat or food and it seemed they were practically out of almost everything. Employees were more concerned with preparing their own meals. If I could give this place 0 stars I literally would. I walked in & got no greeting & was blankly stared at by the guy working (Mj) he asked me what I wanted & coldly gave blank answers. I had multiple items & everytime he had to make the next item his attitude got worse. He went to the back to get more lettuce & stood behind the fridge to talk crap to one of his co workers. I honestly don't know how he still has a job considering I'm one of many people that have received HORRENDOUS service from him. Cashier was awesome i didn't get her name but she was a young Hispanic girl and she apologized for his rudeness. I honestly would rather get Taco Bell then deal with his attitude ever again, i work customer service & understand customers can be difficult but there is no excuse for his attitude, it was literally embarrassing. This is your typical Chipotle. I give it 4 stars because New Bern doesn't have the greatest food scene and this is a good addition. Especially for fast food (or fast casual)--there's not much other than burger joints or fried chicken. Chipotle is a great option for something different--not fried!! I find the portions to be too large for one person. I can split one burrito with another person and be okay....which makes it a great value. read more

I haven't always been the biggest fan of Chipotle in the past, but lately I've developed quite the taste for this chain and have become a frequent customer at this location. If you don't know the deal with Chipotle, it's essentially set up like a Subway but with Mexican food instead of sandwiches. With a huge emphasis on healthy, ethically sourced organic ingredients, you can always feel good about eating here. This location is staffed by friendly and efficient workers. Chipotle restaurants have a tendency to draw huge lines of people, but despite the crowds, I've never spent more than 4 or 5 minutes in line ordering my food. On the occasion that I've had to wait for them to grill more steak for my order, they have always completely comped my meal for me. It's hard to complain about eating for free. As for the food, I am a massive fan of the steak burritos. They have multiple types of meat and meat substitutes to choose from, but for me the only obvious choice is steak. Slap some brown rice, peppers, onions and corn salsa on there and you've got yourself a recipe for a delicious and satisfying burrito. The tortilla chips are another awesome surprise. Super salty with a healthy hint of lime. They go great with some salsa as a side dish. Oh boy, I'm getting hungry now. Off to Chipotle, I guess. read more

I made an order through the Chipotle mobile app for meals for 6 people. Although I was spending a fair amount if money and I paid for my order before I even got to the pick up site it took the location more than 30 minutes after the promise time to fulfill the order. There were customers walking in off the street that were ordering their food and picking it up while I was waiting for my prepaid for food. This is a lousy way to treat customers that have already committed to ordering and preparing. Although I did take the time to report my dissatisfaction to the corporate customer service department there has been no communication from the company or the store. There are better places with better service than this poor representation of a "chain restaurant ". read more
