Oh Chick-fil-a. How times have changed. The restaurant is dirty. There are tables with trash, the sauce area where there should be plenty of sauces and napkins- mostly empty... except for more trash and straw papers. The trash can is so full the door won't close. The lady that brought our drinks put them on the table and walked away even after we said thank you. At another table, they asked her for their drinks and she points Ted at the table behind them- she'd see their drinks behind them without telling them!! We have always enjoyed coming here. I'm sure you're going to say you are short-staffed. Ok. But it doesn't take a second to be kind or nice or to let a paying customer know you see their drinks on the table behind them. Had such high hopes after the remodel, sadly after several visits there have consistently been issues. It might largely be due to Tom Pike leaving. Food is inconsistent, service is just mediocre and the parking lot is like playing high stakes Tetris. Regularly missing something from an order, sauce, fries, a box of nuggets or even an entire sandwich. The "new" fries are hard like they've been under a heat lamp since last week. Chicken quality is also poor. Have had several regular sandwiches with gristle/tough parts and they're all different sizes which means inconsistent cooking. Have had to complain in the app a few times to only receive awful, careless responses. Many people have shared the exact same experiences as what we've had. CFA has turned into McDonalds. The staff have always been friendly, greeted me upon arrival and thanked me for stopping by! To take your sandwich up a notch, try adding cheese. Where do I start? I went through the line and it was long (as per usual)! Got my order and went home only to find out there was no sandwich?!? I called to let them know and offered to go back into the drive thru to get the sandwich when the owner himself, Tom Pike offered to drive to my house with the sandwich and some vouchers to make up for his team's mistake. They are now allowing inside dining but it is nasty and cluttered. They have blocked off half the dining room so they can accommodate the stock for the drive through. The floor is oily so it is slippery. The bathrooms have trash in the floor. Only one register at the counter. The rest of the counter has been blocked off with partitions. There is no parking for the dine in customers. Once you turn into the parking lot, you HAVE to go through the drive through. I don't think this store wants any people inside. So sad. Always polite workers and good food but be prepared to spend a lot of time waiting. I've never experienced a fast food place with such consistently long wait times. Chick-fil-a was known for being efficient and this location is the slowest fast food option I've ever experienced (every time I make the mistake of coming). Arrived in New Bern around 11:20 & went here for lunch. The parking lot was already mostly full as was the line of cars in the drive thru lane. Went inside and was able to place my order with minimal wait time. Counter employee was pleasant and efficient - my food was quickly available. I was impressed that during this busy time the line moved quickly and the staff was always polite. Also impressive was the two people that were working in the dining area. One man was going around to the customers and offering to refill their drinks, remove their trays, and then sweeping up debris. A female was offering CFA mints to the customers. By the way, these two people working in the dining weren't some hourly worker assigned to the dining room - these two were the owner operators of the business! As always my #1 combo was delicious (Every CFA diner knows what's in the #1 combo!) The other fast food chains cannot compare to the efficiency and friendliness of CFA. read more

Very disappointed with the mobile app at this site. Placed my order for drive through since they don't offer curb side at this location and I have a broken ankle. Sat in the wrapped around drive through and was given drinks with no straws and told to go wait in the road between two cones. Bags delivered a few minutes later but no straws and no toy with kids meal. What's the use of mobile ordering when they don't have strips for your order and you have to wait in line in the drive through behind everyone else. And there was no "I'm here." I have to say I love the experience every time I come to chic-fil-a. The service is 99% of the time, amazing. But for the first time today, We decided to go thru the drive thru, needless to say I was very disappointed. We all know the chic-fil-a is a Chain known for there happy, attentive, welcoming customer service. Bad day at this chick-fil-A. Still a big fan but today was a disappointment. Drive through took forever as they didn't have the soups ordered. When I got to the airport to eat my meal I found no spoons and no condiments. No ketchup or Chick-fil-A sauce that was ordered and confirmed by the window attendant. Great and consistent food. This is my go-to fast food place. Love the diet Lemonade. Service is particularly friendly. In all my years of going here they have only forgotten something once. The drive through at lunch is around the building and parking lot full (don't worry, line moves quickly). Sometimes people have to park in mall parking and walk over, but its worth it. Restrooms are clean, and staff walks around and wipes down tables, sometimes they even help you clean it off! The owner of this location is very rude and not appreciative of customers business. My parents often travel down to see me and we always stop on because we love chick fil a. They have not given their employees a pay increase for dealing with the public as have other fast food restaurants and grocery stores. However they did give their employees two rolls of toilet paper. I guess that's some thing but come on, I was informed by an employee that they did $2800 worth of business in one hour Saturday with cars lined up to to the highway exchange. Hands down the worst Chick Fil A I've ever experienced. (Trust me, I've been to PLENTY.) They are EXTREMELY slow, and by slow, I mean waiting a minimum of 15 minutes in the DRIVE THRU, don't even get me started on the wait for dinning in (and yes, I use the app to order food in advance.) They never have people outside taking your order when the drive thru is backed up, regardless of the weather. They workers act like they hate their lives and you're always inconveniencing them.
