Not sure why I keep coming back to this place. Maybe because I tell myself "it can't get worse than this" but proceeds to be way worse than the time before... To start, they begin closing procedures early - at least 2 hours early. By 9 pm, the little hard pieces of rice and dry shreds of meat are what's left. The food whether it's supposed to be hot or not will be room temperature at best. For a few months, the soda machine was out of soda and ice. And you cannot forget the complementary floor trash. Pieces of food, lids to the bowls, straw wrappers, etc. riddle the open counter space as well as the floor. Tonight in particular, they were out of cheese, gave the usual small portions, and the workers continued to carry on a conversation without assisting people waiting in line - chatting about TikTok and whatever else. I like Chipotle but still struggling with this location - the guy putting together the entrées really piled it on tonight so I was much happier with the portions however this location still struggles on many fronts. We arrived a little after 6 PM and the restaurant just didn't look clean so it seems they still lack training and a solid management team. The chipotle grill is always great. We like the Bowles. They usually give a nice amount of the extras such as guac and sour cream but some times are a little stingy when you ask for the extra that you are paying for. For the most part they are great! Food is awsome! read more

Not sure where to start, but maybe "back away from the salt" would be a good place. I stopped by the NSB location around 7pm on a very slow Friday night. This was my first visit to a Chipotle in probably 10 years. Everything I ordered was over-salted....chips, guacamole, barbacoa bowl. The guacamole went in the trash, but at least it came with a bonus chunk of avocado peel. The chips were not just overly salty, but very chewy, as well. As for the staff, there was not one smile, not one greeting....mainly just the faces and body language of people counting the minutes until they could clock-out. We felt rushed by the under enthusiastic worker and not even a hello or smile. We ordered chips and queso and the worker asked what size. Stopped here after a long day at the beach with the family. It was not busy while we were there. The employees were helpful and considerate when we ordered our food and adjustments we had to make afterwards with our toddler's order. The food was typical chipotle quality, tasted fresh. There is not much space inside to sit, so can see how it could get crowded quickly. The ambiance while we were there was nice since it was not crowded. I want to start this review by saying I am a huge chipotle fan. I eat at chipotles all over the nation and to be completely honest, this was my worst experience yet. While standing in line, the person ordering in front of me was getting reasonable servings. After he got his meal, the guy in charge barked at his employee to shrink the serving sizes. I then ordered a bowl and the servings were extremely underwhelming to say the least. It was as if they were rationing food during a famine. I was disappointed and hope that this is the last time I get violated by extraordinarily small portion sizes at a chipotle. I will continue to be an advocate for the brand but I do feel it is my duty to call out small portion sizes. This is your classic example of shrinkflation. When I walked in the door the place wasn't busy. There were employees standing around chatting. The tables inside and out had food debris on them as did the floor. The chips were chewy, not crispy. The taco beef was very chewy. I threw the food away. This is not a very good Chipotle. read more

The store was not busy but the employees all stayed behind the counter and did not come out and ever check the drink or trash areas. I notified the staff that the napkin holders were out and they never came out and refilled them. They also ran out of cheese when we were ordering and once we had our food, we tasted the steak and it was very metallic tasting. We sent the steak back for the carnita meat, which tasted great. I used to always eat at Chipotle but this location is the absolute worst. I won't go back after today. My boyfriend said that after our last order. Always something messed up with the to go order. This last experience after waiting a few months to go back and give them another shot was the worst. Order my normal veggie bowl with extra rice and beans and Some other toppings. Get home and I have a bowl full of rice and the toppings. No beans or veggies. Chips always stale and the queso usually cold. Third time in a row having a horrible experience. I was a assistant manager in the first Chipotle to open in Madison, Wisconsin back in the day. I know it's hard to open a new restaurant especially in the midst of all the chaos the coronavirus has wrought. Here are the things that must improve: There were approximately 10 people working Sunday afternoon. Despite that: - There was no steak, black beans, very little chicken and the fajitas looked like they had been sitting there all day, and the sofritas were overcooked - Two questions: with so many people, why was the line not totally full? Was there a food shortage? It's across the street from Publix and we used to run to the store and get something before we ran out. That's unexcusable. Where was the manager? - The tables were not cleaned up and the trash cans were overflowing. - The food was too salty. I will return in a month to see if conditions have improved. In the meantime, practice, keep the place clean, the food fresh and always full and get rid of the dead weight. We ran the biggest Chipotle in Madison with a crew of 5 or less and less that included the manager. You don't need to hire more people. You need to keep the good ones, get rid of the bad ones, and give the good ones a pay raise. I want to see you succeed, so please try harder! read more

I made a Yelp account to post this. I have been to this location several times since it's opening. I keep coming back to Chipotle because the ingredients seem reliable and it's usually a nutritious option on the go. However, this location has so consistently disappointed me, I make this post in the hope that there is some accountability out there. The customer service at this location is almost always abysmal. I have never been greeted by the employees, and I have sat and waited to be served at the counter more times than I can remember. I have walked out and left twice now because no one came to help nor did they say a word. Both times I walked out there were employees who saw me and ignored me. The staff has also been consistently unfriendly and visibly unmotivated. Aside from the customer service, the quality and composition of the ingredients and dishes have been sporadic at best. On multiple occasions, the rice has been seriously undercooked, the ingredients are mixed in the serving bar, and the meat is often over cooked. I usually get a burrito, and this may sound silly, but it is always such a mess to eat from this location. It's usually due to a shotty wrap job. I hope someone at this location in a management position encourages some change and pride in the work that's being done. It is a shame how this location operates, and they won't have my business from this point on. read more
