They had the good chips, but they were too stale. The queso needed salt. Guacamole was good. Rice was a little dry.

Just went to Casa Herrera to celebrate my son's birthday. Fun!! Just mentioned the birthday to our…read moreserver, Rosario, and she did a phenomenal job making our experience special. THANK YOU ROSARIO!!! We started with a regular sized nacho platter. It had seasoned grilled chicken. Delicious. We also enjoyed the warmed tortilla chips and salsa. My younger son loves their queso so we ordered that to go with the tortilla chips and to pour onto the nachos. So good that way. You have to try it. We were a party of 5. My husband and I got taco salads. I got mine with ground beef. He got his with chicken. My 3 sons all got the Quesabirria tacos. I almost did too because it's that good. Drinks were Spicy Piña for my son. For me, I got the Mangosissimo. Wow!! That is the most amazing drink. You have to try that too. I got mine on the rocks. Alternatively, you can get it frozen. Then for desserts, one of my sons ordered a flan to share. But in addition, the servers came out and presented my son with a giant sombrero to wear for that perfect b'day pic, a churros and ice cream dessert with lit candle and also sang happy birthday to our table. It was amazing, loud , and fun! Even patrons from another table stopped by and wished my son a happy birthday. My son said it was the best b'day dinner out. Thank you Casa Herrera!! We will be back for every birthday, holiday and for any reason to go have another Spicy Piña and Mangosissimo.

The food here is always fabulous! Authentic Mexican. We had the chicken Fajitas for lunch. Our…read moreserver was really good! I wish it was closer to my house. We will definitely stop back when we are in the area.

We love everything about Alquisiras. If you haven't gone or ordered yet, we highly recommend it…read more We particularly like the green enchiladas, Al Pastor Tacos, their salsas, pico de gallo, street corn, and grilled cactus. We also love the Tres Leches Cake for dessert. We've eaten here twice so far and already have plans to come back a third time. The service was friendly both times and on Sundays they set up a tent outside.

I was tasked with finding a place to eat while we were in the Coatesville area. I didn't know much…read moreabout this area but after reading several reviews I sellected Alquisiras. It was def a great choice and if I'm ever in this area again I will come back. It was a little confusing when we walked in bc the place was empty and no one came to seat us. We waited a while and eventually someone came to help us. We weren't in a rush so it really wasn't a big deal for us to wait. The chips and salsa that we were served while we read the menu were delish! The menu was quite extensive. We ended up ordering guac to start and it was very fresh and delicious. We also ordered the enchiladas. It came with beans, rice, and a fresh salad. You could pick if you wanted 4 or 6 enchiladas and I selected 6 so I would have some leftovers. The menu listed a pork, chicken, and cheese mix and I asked them to leave out the chicken which they accommodated. I would def ordered this again. We also ordered something called parradillas(?) I prob spelled this wrong lol. Anyway there was so much variety on this plate - beans, rice, steak, chicken, chorizo, chili relleno, a diff type of stuffed pepper, roasted veggies and I forget what else. It was spectacular. And as we were eating the 3 men at the table next to us all ordered it too so it must be their best dish. We also had a chicken quesadilla that was huge and delish. Everyone who came in to eat at the restaurant was spanish speaking and we were the only ones who were not - so that is another way to know it was authentic. Def if you are in the area stop here. Leave room for desserts too. Their dessert fridge looked awesome but I just didn't have room in my belly to order any.

I was torn between four and five stars, I went with five to demonstrate my good faith in that I can't say anything about the taste, it really was delicious. But the portion size was...unexpected. My wife and I ordered a dinner for two and I picked up a large aluminum platter and was excited. But it's a small portion for two people. We both laughed that we're going to need food later. I think we demolished it in 15 minutes, lol. I'm also glad I picked up those yummy looking rice crispy treats for dessert. We had the chicken, steak and shrimp platter- Mar y Tierra. The chicken and steak were very thin, and then three shrimp. So we awkwardly looked at each other for who gets to have two shrimp, lol! ( It was me!) again, it was all delicious. anyway, considering the amazing value and price, the proteins weren't the issue. I mean, yes, I think having four shrimp makes sense when you're serving a dinner "for two," but I don't know if you can tell from the picture, it was the tiniest portion of rice and beans, etc. Those things are so cheap! The amount of rice & beans and macaroni salad, etc. on this platter would be standard for a single entrée serving anywhere else. There was one jalapeño pepper grilled for us to share. It was the most delicious thing... We had to share a single pepper? Why only two green onions? Again grilled and delicious... adding two more green onions would have been perfect. thankfully I am gluten-free, so she had the large tablespoon of macaroni salad to herself. I can't imagine those eyeballs we would give each other if we'd have to split up this bite of macaroni salad, lol! we're going to order the grande platter next time, hoping we will get a bigger portion of side dishes, that one has 7 proteins instead of three. I'll let you know...
