This is not the first time the Pottstown location has let me down but I thought I would give them another shot. That was my mistake. Their website claims they are open on Sundays and their online ordering took my money for a Sunday lunch. But when I showed up, the place was not even open. So I did not get my food and now I have to get my money back. They should just close the Pottstown location since it is run by amateurs. I really wanted to like this place!! I gave it two honest tries. I will say the best and the only thing I'd ever get off their menu again is the quesabirra tacos. those are amazing. I do not like onions, so I made sure to order only burritos that did not mention them in the list of ingredients. Both visits: onions! This trip, I got the new Jefe burrito which again doesn't list onions. I did request no Sausage because I know chorizo is spicy. The burrito came, ONIONS AND SAUSAGE! it also had no visible guacamole or sour cream. I was so sad, I took the meal to the counter and said, " I think I received the wrong item. The guy said, "did it have sausage?" and I said, "yes, plus onions which wasn't listed and I cannot see any guacamole chunks." I simply asked to remove the item from the bill and don't worry about remaking it as my boyfriend shared his extra quesabirra. It's unusual for me to write a negative review, but I had to for this one. I've ordered many times from here without many issues, but when I ordered two 'meat-bowls'... A.k.a. taco salads. I asked them to pack the shells separately, so that they wouldn't get soggy on my drive home. The order was already bagged when I went to pick it up. I guess it's my bad for not checking to make sure everything was there, but when I got home, I discovered that they somehow missed all of the meat for the one taco salad and 3/4 of the toppings. When I called to tell them, their first suggestion was just to give me a credit for the one bowl, but both my husband and I were both getting hangry so I drove back to the store. Thankfully, I 'checked the bag'...before I left, and there were still items missing!! The only thing that will keep me from coming back is that I don't live near by. I had three chicken tacos on taco Tuesday. I've had as good, but I'm not sure I've had better. The grilled chicken was nice and moist, a great sauce on it. The chicken was nice and juicy and very flavorful. I ordered 12 tacos on $1 taco night. Was told 10-15 minutes. I got there a few minutes later and had to wait over 35 minutes until I was out the door with my food in hand. Also cost me $22 instead of $12 to add lettuce and cheese. You would think those are standard on a taco. I guess not but they didn't tell me that it was an uncharge when I was on the phone, hence why I was shocked at the price when I went to pay. don't give a time frame if it's gonna take double that amount of time. read more

Best Mexican food in Pottstown AND surrounding areas! Restaurant is cute and clean. Only possible negative is that it can feel a bit crowded at times, but not enough to drop a star. Service is always prompt and friendly. I'm obsessed with the chicken super tacos. So so good! Have had the Chicken super burrito and that is amazing as well but most often get the tacos. My family seems to love the shrimp super tacos, shrimp super burrito and loaded nachos. We've also indulged in a crazy banana a time or 2 when we arntoo stuffed. There is a soft drink or "Agua fresca" bar with many delicious flavors like tamarind, Jamaica, etc. Right next to it is a homemade salsa bar with a variety of salsas and pickled vegetables. The taco selection is diverse and includes the usual suspects and an array of not so common choices like lengua (tongue), tripe, grilled fish and a super tasty Al Pastor cut straight from a rotating vertical rotisserie. They also have soups, breakfast and shrimp cocktail and ceviche. They have seating but it can get busy and full at lunch time. Highly recommend it. Wow wow wow. It is a regular Thursday morning and I'm still daydreaming about my visit here on Memorial Day. Ok, gotta work so will save draft and return later. Ok, I'm back. This is one of those places you just get that feeling about. I was already thinking about our next visit even before the food arrived. We had tacos Al pastor, of course, seeing as they had them from a great big trompo. Also the fish tacos, which had a magical salsa verde and none of that strange orangey cream stuff you see elsewhere. The ceviche pescado was perfectly fresh and refreshing. Their mariscoco is in my future. As is the pozole. What a treasure in Pottstown. read more
