First, the restaurant looked dirty - behind the counter and in the seating area. They were out of steak and the rest of the food looked like it had been sitting there awhile. I ordered a chicken bowl and it was lukewarm at best when I got it and I ate in. The cashier told me my bill was $34 +. I said that was pretty high for a chicken bowl and a drink. After studying the cash register, she corrected it. She didn't even notice that was incorrect! I was the only one in there, so the word is out already. Terrible. I will never go there again. If you love their food then this is the better location of the two in the area,coming from California where this was a favorite spot to eat I was very disappointed the first few times I went there seems like either they were understaffed or that they were very unorganized,they had no ice in the machines and yet they continued to sell drinks,there is a whole food store in the same center they could've bought ice there and put into the machine,another time they were out of the flavored drinks and didn't look like they were concerned about having them available, the tables were dirty and no one either noticed or cared I had to ask for a wet rag to wipe of the table,they finally came out to wipe of the table then proceeded to ignore all the other tables that needed it. read more

Part of the reason you go to Chipotle is the walk through and pick what you want experience. When you can only order online it defeats the purpose. It's even more annoying when you order online, receive a time for pick up and your food isn't done. Waiting an extra 20-30 minutes isn't acceptable. After waiting , your lack luster server then informs you that items such as guacamole are out and hands you a warm soda that you had to ask for. When asking for a refund they say they can't do so and gives you a number to call. Corporate needs to do an entire retraining and revamp on this establishment. I gave Chipotle a scathing review last time - I've now changed my opinion. My last two visits have been very good and successful. I now ONLY order & pay online. I also give it lots of time - at least an hour for the pickup time. It really is the only way to order: - Great chance of getting your order - Collect Points - Easier to tip - No standing in line - no frustration - walk in grab your bag and split. This Chipotle is horrible. They need new management and staff. We went to eat there tonight as my nephew just drove from Colorado and wanted Chipotle as he hasn't had it in a while. We arrived around 8:20pm as a group of 5. There were many people in line ahead of us. After waiting in line we finally get to order. The staff member asked what we wanted. My nephew answered first and then the staff member stated "we don't have anything except quesadillas." Why even ask what we want when there isn't anything to order. We could clearly see the bins of steak and chicken by the kitchen. As it was 8:30 and they are open until 10 I asked if they were going to bring more food out. Another staff member said no. Only quesadillas are available. By now the line has grown again. I asked why they didn't inform all of us and the line growing behind us that they were not serving food only quesadillas as at that time we could have gone elsewhere. No response. We could tell that they were out of food for quite a while. They had the empty dried containers that hold the meats, rice, beans and other vegetables and toppings sitting there all dirty and dried out and empty. Looked dirty and disgusting. Just sitting there. The kids working had no manners and made it obvious that they were not concerned about their guests as they still didn't tell all of the guests behind us that they were only making quesadillas. I paid for the 2 quesadillas as myself and the other 2 guests in our party wh were starving after the drive from Colorado don't like cheese quesadillas. And that was all they claimed to have. I went to grab plastic utensils and Tabasco and they were gone. So we're the teas and all. It was obvious that they started closing early because they wanted to leave at 10. Not close at 10 leave at 10. We overheard 2 staff members saying that and laughing. The craziest part is they closed and locked the bathrooms as well. I asked the girl that worked there when she was going to open them and she said again that they are closed.She said that they have already cleaned and mopped the bathrooms. While the 2 members of our group were eating there horrible cheese quesadillas I went back to the girl and asked if she could open the bathroom she was on her phone and said later. At this point I had waited over 30 minutes and it took her another 15 minutes to finish talking to her friend on her cell phone for her to unlock the bathroom for me. As soon as I left the bathroom she locked it again and put a wet floor sign in front of it. I heard her tell another lady who wanted to use the restroom that they were closed because th floors were wet from mopping. They weren't wet as I just came out of there. Horrible experience watching these lazy employees not doing their job but just trying to "leave at 10." Not even letting the other people coming in that they aren't serving anything but cheese quesadillas . Again this place is supposed to close at 10. This was happening almost 2 hours before closing time. I would give a zero if I could. No food, no bathrooms and horrible staff. I took photos of this madness. I will never go back. I understand why this Chipotle has an overall rating of 2. This seems to be their standard. I'm surprised that they even got 2 stars. Such a shame as Chipotle is great at the other locations but this one in Prescott is horrible in all categories. Hopefully they get new management and staff who can provide quality food, service and a bathroom. The Chipotle standards aren't met. Ruining the name of a place by this lousy franchise. This Friday I decided to grab a bowl my wife and I could share for dinner. When I walked into the restaurant it was empty. Two male employees were behind the counter and cooking area. The flat top area was absolutely filthy. While deciding what to order I noticed that many of the items were almost gone. I chose a bowl with steak, beans, white rice and cheese. When we arrived home I divided the bowl. The first bite and my wife stated that the rice was grossly undercooked to the point of being hard. I took a bite and agreed with her. The worst bowl and probably the last bowl I will ever purchase there. I question if any of these employees even care how the food is prepared. What a waste of money! Crunchy, inedible rice. "Mashed" and burned pinto beans, Barbacoa that's all fat and gray meat, fajita veggies that aren't even cut up (whole half onion in my bowl) and to top it off they gave us a rotten mandarin with mold literally growing out of it for the "kid's fruit" side since they were out of chips. Not the first time we've had this experience where you spend hard earned money on food you can't eat, but this will be the last. I lived for years next to the original "Chipotle," on the corner of Evans and University in Denver, Co. I was excited when the frachise came to Prescott Valley, Az. I am not so much any longer. If I were to catagorize this location in a single word, it would be; inept. At noon on Wednesday the 14th, a paper sign on the door said; "Closed until 3:00 PM for maintenance." How does a restraunt close because its broken? Really? This afternoon, my wife and I stopped in to order take out. the serving area was filthy and the only line staff advised that they were out of fajita vegetables. He then said the same thing for guacamole. How do you run out of guacamole? Although disappointed, we paid for our order and added chips and Quesadilla. The employee who rang up our order, said,: we're out of Queso it should be ready in eight minutes." We paid for it and said we would wait. more than a half an hour later, the queso had not been made. We left without. During the wait, I observed their operation. The manager was nowhere in sight. he walked from some location not visible, through the serving area, and went outside the front door. he did thistwice. he said nothing to any of the employees. I discovered that one employee's shift had expired two hours previosly and she was still politely and diligently filling orders. If I had been corporate and observed this operation, I would have removed the manager on the spot. read more

Where to start........This place needs a qualified manager. Always a mess, dirty, slow, and unorganized. Worth the trip to go into PV for better food and service. If you are heading to this location, bring your own sanitizers to wipe your table down. The way that this place is managed makes me question if the food is safe to eat. A homeless person came in while we were there and helped themselves to the rack of food for people who use the app to pre-order. No one even cared or noticed. This is my absolute favorite Chipotle location. I'm from the valley and I've been to dozens of different Chipotle locations because I love their food. This one is the best I've had. I don't know what it is about this Chipotle, every burrito I have gotten here has just tasted so fresh and had a perfect blend of ingredients. The employees have always been polite and eager to serve me. It's even somehow better than the PV Chipotle. This place saved my life when I was working at a summer camp and was extremely tired of the food they served there. Always quick service. I've never had a problem here. Most of these people reviewing this are probably the type of people that are rude to young people and complain about every single thing that doesn't go your way. It's a fast food restaurant, not a steakhouse, sometimes the tables will have extra food on then from previous customers. read more

I took my mom to lunch there today, everything in our burrito bowls were cold, with the exception of the meat it was barely warm and the rice was still crunchy. Also, a very small serving of guacamole, really they they remind you that you have to pay extra for it. She was obviously not able to run the line all alone, and yet two of the younger employees stood there and watched her struggle, even making fun of her at one point. Ordered a steak burrito with no beans. Came very close to walking on my order as I looked at the lonesome little pile of steak bits on top of a scoop full of rice in a big giant tortilla. Paid anyway, $8.13 for what costs 79 cents at any other fast food restaurant. And yes it's better stuff and tastes better but 10x better... Ate it, still hungry, going to go find lunch now. It appears chipotle has crossed the rubicon of taking their respectability cred and using it to cut every corner and maximize profits by stuffing their customers.
