Mi Tierra looks beautiful when you walk in, but the experience falls apart fast. Our server was kind but overwhelmed. Lukewarm food on scorching plates. Soupy beans. Flavorless rice. The beer I ordered showed up as the meal was basically finished. The real issue was this stupid coupon. It said nothing about needing to be printed. Not one word. Yet after we presented it, we were abandoned for thirty-five minutes with no explanation. Our server disappeared. The manager spent the night taking shots at the bar, yelling with friends, and ignoring the entire dining room. Only when I found the to-go cashier did anyone tell us about this "printing requirement." It was never stated anywhere. The silence felt careless and disrespectful. By the time the forgotten beer was added as a separate bill, I was furious and ready to leave. Mi Tierra is beautiful on the outside, but the leadership is precipitously bad. Came here for dinner on my first night in town. We ordered the quesadilla de asada and the combo plate with an enchilada and tamale. Food was okay the masa wasn't dry but the pork inside was just a tad bit. Enchilada was good too. The quesadilla my son had was tasty. Staff is very friendly. Ample parking so that's not an issue. I was staying at the Best Western Inn, next door to Mi Terra. I was greeted by the restaurant manager after I told him I was a nextdoor hotel guest. I ordered a $55 dinner. I returned the next day for lunch and was told by a restaurant server, hotel guests receive a 10-percent food discount. When I asked the manager, why I was not given the meal discount the evening prior, he laughed and walked away. Another server told me, the manager will not honor the restaurant discount with the hotel guests. I informed the hotel desk clerk, who said they could do nothing. read more

Hubby and I tried this place out yesterday for lunch and it was excellent! They had a fairly busy lunch going, but had plenty of help and service was good. The service was nice, but we were met with disagreement when we said we would like the specials advertised on the banner out front. Evidently the special does not include drinks anymore, and the hostess was not aware of that. The burger special was kind of boring. No condiments at all. With the huge price increase in fast food places these smaller restaurants have a great value added for food. Though it may not be as fast as others but it's much better quality and a larger menu. My wife was trying to order food from them through DoorDash and their menu is very confusing. We had to call the restaurant to confirm what we were getting, and they still screwed it up. Even after the order was placed, she called them again to confirm, and again, it was screwed up. Both orders! So, after it was delivered, she called to let them know. I don't know if it was because it was Thursday night, but there were not many people there. The waitress was pleasant but we barely saw her. It took almost an hour of waiting to get our food. Prices were high, but you get a lot of food. Not the greatest and the long wait for our food made everything not really worth it. There are other better Mexican restaurants in the area with better food and prices. read more

My husband and I walked in this past Sunday after a long travel day for dinner. 2 hosts were at the entrance. The female employee completely ignored us, but the male sat us at a corner table and gave us menus. This was our last interaction with staff for the 10 to 15 minutes we were at the table. No drinks, no greeting from a server, nothing. There were at most 3 other tables occupied while we were there. To be fair, staff also ignored the woman changing her baby's diaper at her booth, so at least we weren't the only ones. It's a shame, the food smelled good, but we lost our appetite seeing the diaper, and no one seemed to want our business anyway. read more
