The manager is weak, weak, weak. yells at staff but will not communicate with customers. you will love this.... I ordered online to pick up and AGAIN it was not ready. They told me I could not pick up my order for an hour but I could cancel my order and wait in line....WHY??!!?? I feel terrible for the hard working staff with such a poor excuse of a manager. Get rid of that guy and your customer experience will lift....and save a bunch of my one giving frustrated customers free food. I love that my burrito buddy at Chipotle corporate offices sends me free burrito coupons when i complain about this location, but i don't need free burritos...I want my meal to be made on time and delivered on their promise. Why would you invest in an online ordering service, physical location, staff and more just to disappoint your customers over and over again? I typically cancel my order and walk next door to Chop't where I am in and out in 5 minutes with high quality, great food and zero complaints. i recommend skipping Chipotle and going for the cobb wrap at Chopt. awesome! read more

Prepare to be disappointed if you stop at this Chipotle (vs the one on Greenwich Ave). The staff is rude, inefficient and will literally stare at a long line while 1-2 of the 5 or 6 staff do all the work. Management seems to be absent or care even less than the rest of the employees. You are much better off going to one of the multiple chipotle locations nearby for a more pleasant experience. read more

We have made going here a tradition after son's soccer games. today (11-9-15) he ordered his traditional burrito. The person preparing the burrito put so little chicken on it, I felt compelled to complain to which I got a lot of "this is the amt etc" and offer to charge me for double protein but no admission of wrong. So I photo graphed our burrito and the others being prepared as proof. The ultimate proof was my son throwing out the burrito saying it tasted horrible because it was all rice. I hope this breaks the tradition because I don't find the food particularly interesting and would say its bland. read more

Everyone complaining here is soft af. They made me my Mexican food and then handed me my Mexican food and charged me a reasonable price for doing so. To expect anything beyond that would be a pipe dream plain and simple. They even let me purposefully mispronounce the food without getting annoyed. Whenever I go to a Chipotle, I expect good food but today I had outstanding food with exceptional friendly service. I ordered two tacos (being gluten free) with corn tortillas. The young man washed his hands to ensure no cross contamination and also a guard for my warming of the tacos. I had the chicken and the pulled pork. The chicken was good as expected but the pulled pork was fantastic. I inhaled that one taco wishing I had five more. The team was friendly, smiling and happy to serve me which is not always the case with fast food establishments. So if you are in the area and need a good quick meal. Ordered the Chipotle catering for 20 yesterday. They were amazing! I received one large box of cold fixings, one large bag of hot food, and one large bag of serving items. It included: sternos, setups, and serving utensils for steak, chicken, carnitas, brown rice, black beans, pinto beans, fajitas and taco shells. I also received lots of cheese, lettuce, corn, mild, medium and hot sauces, sour cream, and lots of chips and quac. Everything was very fresh and delicious. We got delivery and they didn't deliver SIX items. I called to complain and the "manager" put me on hold and never came back. So we went to the store for a refund and they said we have to contact corporate for a refund. The staff is horribly unfriendly and the food was average at best. While she searched two other employees berated her stupidity, one of who was the manager I guess because after the aforementioned several minutes waiting, he finally used his card. I walked by a few minutes before they opened their doors, all the staff was sitting around and eating. Came back in 15 mins after they opened and they clearly need to get their act together as half the trays were still empty. Super slow in their responses as if they either are not fully awake or hung over. The guy behind the counter just had a blank stare and kept forgetting what I asked for. (It's literally right there and instantaneous..)Yet, when I ordered a couple of veggie bowls, thinking they will bring the grilled veggies out. He proceeded to pack my bowl, and I asked him why isn't he waiting for the veggies. He told me "they aren't ready, and that's not what a veggie bowl means. It just means no meat." Um.....if I wanted just rice and beans...I would have said so. I actually wouldn't have minded if they were honest or at least apologetic for their sluggishness and lack of preparation. But to cut corners and then blame it on the customer for not understanding what a "veggie" bowl means (it means there are freaking veggies.) I told them I didn't want mine anymore and paid for just one of them since my niece needed to eat. They couldn't have cared less. Chipotle is always great. Went here 6 times in the opening two weeks. Manager is super nice. Once gave me a free meal. That was before things started to go downhill. Almost every time I go there they are out of something. One time they were out of chicken and cheese. You can't be out of something that everyone gets. About 7-8 people in the kitchen, about 1 person doing the line. Someone from the kitchen has to help out! It's still starting out so they definitely have room for improvement. read more

Pros - its a Chipotle, which is pure genius (other than the cilantro in the white rice). And the location is great. Cons - apparently Chipotle has no opening crew or pre-opening training process at all. This place seems like it opened yesterday, and as another reviewer put it - employs a bunch of high school drop outs with no training whatsoever. What 7 or 8 people behind the counter could possibly be doing walking around looking at each other is utterly baffling. A line out the door and not a single person was checked out in over 10 minutes. A guy who appeared to be a manager but seemed to have no clue whatsoever was helping the completely rude checkout person address a takeout order issue while a line snaking through the restaurant stood and waited forever. Apparently only this one rude woman could even touch the one working register, so it still took forever even once people started to get their food prepared. And the ones preparing the food seemed to be on their first day on the job - as other reviews said - with 3 people behind the counter just staring at the burrito to put in some cheese!. No wonder there was no place to fill out a survey online, either in the store or on the receipt etc like many other restaurants do now. Chipotle corporate must care - please read these reviews and do something!!! maybe its time to sell the stock too, seems like the brand is being compromised by the growth. read more

A lot of you customers seem to complain and it's really annoying . The same customers that complain come back to this place. You have to understand that it's not the employees that run out of shit it's whoever orders the stuff fault! You need to learn to be patience or leave. I feel bad giving this place two stars but I did for real reasons. The food is very good. However, the service is not. It should not take half an hour to serve about 8 customers. I have gone there numerous times and everytime I go, someone walks out in disgust. The man behind me yesterday claimed when he was in previously, it took 45 minutes for them to serve the three people in front of him and then him. Unacceptable. I ordered a burrito bowl the other day and my dad who I brought in to show how good the food is, ordered three tacos. While we were waiting in line, the servers were standing around one burrito putting the stuff in it. They were looking at it as if Jesus Christ himself was in the burrito. What could be so fascinating about a chicken burrito when there is a line out the door I'll never know. Another server repeatedly kept asking what time it was. She couldn't read the non digital clock. Also, who cares what time it is, make the burritos! Anyway, my dad got his tacos, and the server carefully rationed the sour cream into the tacos. Is there a sour cream shortage? Have the cows gone on strike? One teaspoon in the middle of the taco? Also, another time I went in there I asked for the small bag of chips. They refused to sell me the chips saying it was for children's meals. I explained I didn't want a large bag, just a few. Still, they refused to give me a small chips. Out of curiosity, I went to the Darien Chipolte the next day and asked for the small chips. They gave me the chips and when I told them of my experience at the new one, they were shocked. They told me of course you can buy small chips, we just try to convince people to buy the big ones because they're only 40 cents more. So, there you have it: the Riverside store has employees who gather around burritos in awe while the line grows, cows that don't produce sour cream, employees who can't tell time, and won't sell you the food. The food is good, but please bring in the robots that can make the food quickly. read more
