Yes they make it for you table-side and you can adjust the spice level. Even mild, it had a lot of flavor. Tuna tartare was my favorite appetizer here. Crispy birria tacos were decent too. The elotes were good too but hard to eat at a business dinner. I got the Marea Alta I think. They make it woth seasonal fish which was red snapper. Met my husband and coworker here Friday for lunch. Took over five minutes for anyone to approach our table. Took our drink order then literally disappeared. 20 minutes later, my husband tracked him down, he is a twin. Put in our order. Steak fajitas and a chicken quesadilla. Food came out in stages. Nice place, located by the Stamford mall next to Capital Grill. Parking is plentiful and easy (always a plus). We ordered guacamole which was done table side. We got both spicy and not spicy version, and I have to say that spicy version barely had any kick to it - I guess if you like it spicy, you need to ask for extra extra spicy... First time here with family, but they have been to this restaurant quite a few times. We didn't have a reservation but they sat us pretty quickly. There was 12 of us. We ordered drinks and water. It took a while for the water to come back around. We placed our order and before the waiter took our order he informed us that the kitchen is backed up the food is going to take some time. So we ordered guacamole and chips and coconut shrimp. Then we put our orders in and about an hour passed and no food came to the table so someone went and asked what's going on. Finally the food started to come out, some entrees were cold and my shrimp was rubbery. They got overwhelmed with the customers. The alcohol drinks were good. So at the end when the bill came we asked to see the manager and told him all the things that happened with the order. In the end he reduced the bill and we all left. I must say this is a beautiful restaurant and they have a bar on the other side of the restaurant and the air conditioner is very comfortable. We had to pay for paying, but parking is close to the restaurant. I would say I would give this restaurant another chance. It's unfortunate that they couldn't keep up with the overflow of the guess. My first time here. Came in with two friends visiting from overseas. Big spacious and nicely accented space. I would say it has kind if a "grand" feel. We loved the table side attributes of the service. And everyone was super friendly and worked hard. I had the tomahawk steak. $100. But certainly it would be worth it. My eyes were bigger than my stomach. Such a beautiful presentation. Definitely try the table side guac. They make it the way you ask. We also had the carne asada and ceviche. All plentiful and alone could be a meal. And don't get me started about the desert tray they brought out to combated with my visitors. Now maybe I have a sweet tooth, but I could have started and needed right there. No problem. And then I can't say enough good things about the heart of the service team. Was a terrible sewage smell on 8/6. Asked what it was and waiter said he didn't know. I then asked for drink Menu and he said he didn't have one. Should've left after that but was hoping it would work out. Food came and was good. Not great. Got the Trio. Chicken was really good. Shrimp was overcooked and the edible part and the shell were fused together. Rice was sitting around too long and had too many crunchy grains. Then the bill came and they charged $66 for 4 small house margaritas. I mean I know liquor is expensive, but really? Guess that's why the waiter didn't want to bring the drink menu. Our waiter started by asking what we wanted to drink and some of us wanted wine and there were no prices on the menu. We asked the bottle prices and he proceeded to tell us about caymus and we asked how much and he said $180 and didn't tell us about the other cheaper options until we asked. Ordered Cesar salad and when I got it they cooked the salad and it they bought salad and cut in half and chicken was separate plate. The staff was so friendly it was amazing! It always feel good when you feel important as a costumer. The inside was super nice and modern and it could defiantly be a spot for an occasion such as a birthday because it seems fun. The table side guacamole was fun to see but I wish it had more spice. I visited Puerto Vallarta craving steak. Once you are seated a busboy will bring three circular tortilla chips and salsa to the table. The tortilla chips were so-so, but the salsa added flavor. The first dish i ordered was the coconut shrimp. The breaded shrimp lacked taste on its own, needing the spicy sauce that comes with it to elevate the overall taste of the shrimp. My main dish was the 16 oz steak on their menu. The ribeye comes served on a hit skillet. Due to it being so hot, it overcooked my steak. I ordered it medium rare but came out close to medium well to well done. The dish was served with creamy corn and roasted potatoes. They were delicious but came in small portions. Also, the thinness of the steak was a bit disappointing. I likely won't return for steak. Maybe i will try some of their authentic mexican dishes next time.
