TOTAL DISASTER. Placed order online for delivery through Uber Eats. Burrito for $25 was not made to order. They were out of ingredients so they substituted without letting us know. Then they left the soda they charged me for, out of the bag, so the Uber Driver couldn't deliver it with the food. Called the restaurant 4 times to get it sorted out. Just got a burrito that was literally the size of my thumb. Not an appropriate meal for an adult, this size of their burritos are better fit for a toddler. When I called the guy asked me if I ordered a small. There was no options for sizes when ordering online, but even so I paid $9 for a burrito, and if the size I got was what a $9 burrito costs, then it's a complete rip off. ONLY reason they got 2 stars instead of 1 is because they were willing to refund me and the 2 bites of the burrito I had were actually delicious. read more

This has been a go to spot since it's inception. No more. The food has gone so far downhill I will not return. Made my wife a little ill. So bummed as a few years ago the food was terrific and I was a huge fan. Loved that they even offered habanero salsa. Had the Mexicali Blues Burrito and the chicken bits were super hard and hardly any. Nothing seemed fresh. Hopefully they will get it back together and improve the quality. The location is crawling with elementary school kids running through the plaza and in and out of the location. I ordered a chicken burrito, the person making the food was very light on the toppings. The check was cut into cubes, cold, and hard. The burrito was very poorly put together to the point that I needed to ask for a bowl because EVERYTIME I bit into it pieces of food would fall all over the place. Not a good experience. Tasty food but somewhat inconsistent. Some days the bowls are amazing, and others they're not so great. Last time I got a bowl the tofu was so oily it hurt my stomach for the entire night. Normally I love this place. Food is great and everything but I will say the past few times I order dinner from here there was a server who was very unpleasant. I work near by and make an appearance here often and it surprises me that someone would be so rude or inconsiderate. The food tasked pretty good but the ingredients were what made the meal the best. They use the basic ingredients as opposed to adding in loads of sauces and flavoring to cover up the main ingredient's taste. Also love that they have Boylan's as their soda. read more

We are fairly regular customers at the Freedom Plains location. Food seems fresh. It is very tasty. Serving sizes are better than average. I can feed the family, two children & two adults, without breaking the bank. Service at this location is better than average. There was one sourpuss but she must have moved on because we haven't seen her in quite awhile. I dislike that the tip option comes up at the time of payment. The place is not a sit down and get served place. If I saw someone wiping down tables or sweeping a floor then maybe. The only reason for a four star rating is the reward program- the regional manager explained that the company hired to run it was a total disappointment and that the new program should be in place by the end of April 2019. If that proves true and all my points transfer then I will upgrade this score to a 5 star. read more

Came in tonight with the troops for dinner. I previously reviewed the branch in Bedford Hills....where I couldn't get anyone to take my order after standing in front of the counter. Tonight was Salsa Fresca's redemption. The guys behind the counter greeted us and assembled our food promptly and cheerfully. Everything was good, from fresh chips, to tacos, bowls and even the Boylan's soda from the machine. Points for having soda with real sugar. And the Pico de Gallo was gooood. I tend to use the quality of the Pico as a benchmark of salsa quality; theirs was among the best I've had in a while. Definitely coming back. read more

So good! Really fresh ingredients, consistently good and love the mixture or layering of fillings in the Signatures so that you get meat, cheese, red onions or whatever you have ordered all the way through to the end. They must make the taco bowl shells fresh throughout the day because they are lightly crisp and warm, I haven't had a soggy one yet. The lemonade is made with cane sugar and is just right. For those who don't know the concept, it's like a Subway for Mexican food. You chose the wrap or bowl, choose the protein, add toppings, and yum. Not fine dining, but excellent at what they offer. Good food at a good value, and made exactly the way you want it. I enjoy the fact that there are two different non-meat options - a sauted onion mix, and roasted vegetables. I have been a regular customer from the start. Love the place and the good folks that work there. That being said, I have noticed some changes of late that are disconcerting. MGMT TAKE NOTE: 1. The food is always COLD when served. Can't be up to health code temps. (I get that some of the food is supposed to be served cold.) 2. Chips in the bags are ALWAYS stale. Overall, I have to rate this at least 4 stars. Their portions are large, food is fresh, and service is fast and efficient. The food is quite flavorful. The one thing I have a hard time understanding, is their salsa! Their salsa is unbelievably bland and tasteless. It is not difficult to make a delicious salsa-they need to season their salsa with salt and more flavorful ingredients. All of their salsas taste watered down and have no flavor whatsoever. I ordered a chicken salad with everything (having to pay $2.50 extra for sour cream and 'guacamole'). When the food arrived at my house, I was very disappointed. I received a cardboard bowl filled with inedible rice, a few pieces of lettuce and NO chicken. Having eaten at least 1000 salads in my lifetime, I know what a salad is and assumed that the restaurant got my order wrong so I called them. The gentleman at the restaurant told me that a salad with everything is the same as a bowl of rice with everything. Sorry, but this definitely was NOT a salad. It was a glorified bowl of instant rice that tasted HORRIBLE. Rather than try to make things right, they insisted that what I received was indeed a salad. Therefore, they not only lost a customer, but they also received an honest Yelp review. I will never eat here again and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. You'd be better off ordering Taco Bell. read more

Went to this restaurant for lunch while I was visiting family in Cross River. I ordered a Pork Burrito with yellow rice and black beans. They added a sweet and spicy sauce for the pork which gave it some "kick" to the flavor. The food was quite good. I live in Florida and really enjoy good Mexican food so I would recommend this restaurant. The prices are reasonable and staff is very friendly. Also I really enjoy seeing restaurants that are environmentally friendly which is something that I support. read more
