This Chipotle is a great distance from my school, but is always insanely busy! The line today was out the door. They definitely need more staff to help with the lines and restocking things such as napkins and silverware. The food is pretty good though for the craziness of the store. Great food, super helpful staff. When I've been there, there has been a queue, but that's to be expected when it's so good. The staff does a good job of keeping the essentials - like refried beans and corn salsa - fresh. There is a wait, but with 5 people in line when I arrived, that was to be expected - things moved fast and efficiently. Parking is tricky as is getting into the parking lot (esply from Northbound on Mt. Hope). a PS after reading others' comments: I have never used a mobile ap and don't have a so-called smartphone and don't use delivery services - and never will. Maybe the Chipotle has trouble keeping up with online orders, but if you just go in and order, it's fine. And, for me, if they prioritize the walkins over all the online-wallah that's great! read more

Hopefully Chipotle management will do something about this. I have visited many of their restaurants around the country and some have had issues but this one was the worst. The best part about this location was the restroom was clean. I took my family (wife, son and daughter) to this location on Feb 23 at 2:30. When we entered the music was blaring light a night club. There were 4 employees behind the counter having what looked like a meeting and 2 customers standing at the counter. The seating area was a disaster. Trash on the tables and in dis-array. For a customer walking into an establishment, it was a horrible look. Finally, the employees went to their stations and the person at the counter, instead of taking an order, starts flirting with the 2 girls at the counter for 10 minutes. My family and I are listening to this unprofessional behavior and no one else behind the counter said anything. Other customers enter the store and the line starts getting longer. I guess the man behind the counter got tired of trying to hit on the girls and took their order. While this was happening, I left the line, went to the restroom, came back, and he was still "taking" their order. I told my family we need to find somewhere else to eat but my kid's wanted Chipotle. Their order was taken. When He got to mine, he threw the absolute least of everything he could in a bowl. I had to ask for more lettuce? At this point I think another customer complained about the loud (and inappropriate) music and it was turned off. My wife wiped down one of the tables so we could site and eat. DO NOT go to this location unless you have unlimited time for your lunch break. I ordered ahead on the chipotle app, and arrived when my food was supposed to be ready. Apparently their system had been down all day, and only started processing orders at 12:30. The woman at the pickup shelf refused to remake any orders placed outside the chipotle app (door dash or Uber eats). There was at least 10 people standing around waiting for mobile orders. Lucky for me, I had used the chipotle app, but I still had to write out my entire order on a piece of paper, and then it was made. On a separate occasion my coworker waited a full hour for his mobile order. They claimed it was in the system, but they just hadn't gotten to it (he wasn't barking about his order like everyone else trying to pickup their mobile order) Never returning to this location. read more

I don't understand how a place can be so different when we order online and when we order in-person. They are not bad when we order in-person. Liberal with their servings and friendly staff. However, I ordered quite a few times online and it's completely a different experience. Missing ingredients, hardly any protein, salsa or sour cream. Weighs 70% of the in-person order. We walked in on a Saturday evening and walked right out after we saw how terribly unclean and unsanitary the restaurant was. There was food and trash all over the floor in the eating area and the kitchen. When I looked at the food prep area, there was food all over the counters and all the food containers were contaminated with foods that didn't belong. Literally the worst chipotle I've been to, in the country. First, my husband ordered the chicken burrito with EXTRA chicken. Normally these burritos need to be held with two hands, with regular portions. This burrito received MAYBE half a regular portion of chicken and was the size of my palm. The size of a Taco Bell burrito. Next, my veggie rice bowl comes with guac, as I'm paying the same price as someone who receives chicken. I received MAYBE 2/3 a tablespoon of guacamole. And my bowl was absolutely cold. I asked for a side of balsamic vinegar on the side, didn't even get it. Last, we ordered a side of chips which is typically overflowing, it was maybe 12 chips total. If I wanted to spend $30 for a Taco Bell dollar menu sized portion of food, I would have just saved $20 and went there. (And probably have gotten more food.) read more

Avoid at all cost! Grubhub ordered from 1.2 miles away, the order took an hour before receiving it. Food was extremely cold. They forgot the Protien in my burrito bowl. This is the worst Chipotle in town, in my opinion. Unfortunately it's also the Chipotle closest to my work. My main issue is their online ordering system. Half of the time, it doesn't work properly, or they claim it's down. I end up waiting an additional 15-20 minutes for an order that I placed 20 minutes prior on the app. Now that people can order in the restaurant, people who order in are getting their orders quicker than me. So what's the point in ordering ahead? There's no point at this location. Another negative about this location is their parking lot. When it's busy, it's somewhat of a hazard. read more

It's the typical Chipotle food. But the store is busy almost all the time, so they are really good at getting you through the line quickly. I've been there at lunch when the line was out the door, and it still doesn't take too long. However, even with College Town and everything around it, the parking still totally sucks. Just about every Chipotle around has better parking than this, so if another one is about the same distance to you, pick it so you don't have to park a half a mile away. read more

Hands down one of the worst Chipotles in all of Rochester. Iv had at least 3-4 bad experiences here and I'm waiting until now to finally write a review as this was worst experience. My food came today with the following issues: 1. Missing ingredients (Forgot lettuce, Cheese, and Guacamole which I paid extra for). 2. Burnt tortilla, basically a disk I could throw across the room. 3. I found a piece of plastic inside my food the size of 2 quarters wide as I bit into my burrito. I am such a loyal customer of Chipotle and adore their brand but this location just gives them such a bad reputation. I have had friends with similar experiences. read more

The Mt Hope servers continue to prepare salad bowls without using tong to pick up the lettuce!! when I asked the server to prepare my salad by using the tongs to put the lettuce in the bowl they looked very annoyed snd rolled her eyes and sa they don't use tongs. i'm very concerned at the terrible service every time I go in this store it never fails. Please take the time to train your employees properly. because who wants someone to grab lettuce with the same gloves that they picked up utensils wiped off the counter and everything else with the same gloves on. this does not seem sanitary. Walked in today. Told we couldn't order in person, we had to place app because they were short staffed. Waited 20 minutes and took to go. When we arrived home the order was totally wrong. One was for a picky kid, white rice and black beans and cheese. He got brown rice, pinto beans, and fajita veggies. He wouldn't eat it at all and so that order was a complete waste. Mine didn't have what I ordered either. If you're going to make people order on the app, get it right! If we had ordered in person we would have avoided this problem. Last night ordered a bowl they had no black beans, no chips, no corn and something else was missing at least three items I usually eat in my bowl were not there they didnt bother to make any either . When I went to pay I asked since you didn't have the items for my bowl can I get at least a dollar off she replied no we don't do that. So they basically serve you what they want and still charge you regular price. literally paid $9.00 for some rice, lettuce and tofu. For a fast food place I would say Chipotle is my go to places. This location is always busy and they keep it very clean for how busy it is. Their menu has calorie count on it which is good for those people on diets. They offer not only soft drinks but also beer, tequila, juice, milk, etc. The kids enjoy it here, even our picky eater. They even allowed me to get a kids meal when I was very hungry. You can also get an adult sized quesadilla which is not on the menu. You just have to ask for it. There are vegetarian options also. Bonus: if they run out of kid sized chip bags you get a normal size. Everything is fresh because you can see them cutting up their vegetables in the kitchen part. Price isn't terrible. For a fountain drink, juice, chips, guacamole, burrito, and salad it was about $21. Always will go to Chipotle! Just not the Jefferson Road location. read more

Quick and things keep moving even when super busy. It is Chipotle, if you choose wisely you will get a burrito that wont be too heavy and that will taste amazing. Another great Chipotle location. With Mighty Taco not taking the Taco empire down the 90 to the 585, Rochester was without a solid taco chain for years. It's located only steps from the U of R campus, and its pretty much guaranteed to be at least 10 students here at any given time. Located on a busy strip on Mt. Hope, the parking lot is not large enough to support the popularity that Chipotle now has. However, the food has been usually pretty quick and always a solid choice. (Last time I was there, it was a 15 minute wait, but it was 8pm on a Friday...) The guacamole is ssooo good, but the problem is the price. Chips and guac are around $3, but just a scoop in your burrito is $1.85. Steep, but honestly, so darn good. There are varies levels of heat in the available salsas, and you can even order some Mexican beer, if you are so inclined. I also appreciate the fact that they have Tabasco Chipotle sauce, I've never seen it at another restaurant before. Haven't tried to pre-order online, but I might have to if I come back here on a Friday night! read more

I love chipotle food, but it is a major hassle getting the proper order on time from this location. I oftentimes order for pickup and have to wait upwards of 15-20 minutes after the anticipated time it would be ready. It would be way quicker for me to just go through the line. Secondly, when you arrive and don't see your order on time, the staff is so busy with the customers in line that you can't even ask anyone about the status of your order. I've ordered for delivery twice now and the first time I was missing the chips I ordered and paid for and the second time, it was over an hour late. They need more staff to have this location keep up with the demand, specifically for orders placed on their app! read more

This review is based purely on my experience of service every time I come here. Overall, this is probably one of the most stingiest Chipotle in town. I feel like they don't even give you the full portion of each ingredient. Also, I've had multiple times where they completely charge me for the incorrect thing, example including charging me extra 2.50 for sofrita when my bowl was half chicken and half sofrita. This occurs way too frequently at this location and I've had to correct them multiple times. Avoid this location if you can. read more

I will not order online from them anymore, I order a simple salad bowl and when I open it there's hardly anything in there. I go in instead and they get my order right every time. The line is a little bit long but I believe they are short staffed. My advice is go in and order and don't order from the website from Mount Hope. read more

This chipotle probably has the worst service I ever dealt with. I went today to get a bowl at 4pm, as soon as a come in there is two workers in the front. One wearing a long sleeve and the other not. The one without the long sleeves is playing around with workers, singing, basically doing everything but trying o get orders done.
