I never really go inside the building to order my favorite bowl. Usually I use the app. However today was one of those days where the app wasn't working. Three teens barely out of high school were doing the serving. I had to tell them 3 times what my order was bc they couldn't communicate with each other or hand the bowl to the next person like someone with common sense would. And when I would repeat my order back a bit louder for all three of them to hear, I would get dirty looks and stares from all three. Not only the attitude but the serving portions were terrible. When I'd say "light" they would hear "a teaspoon" when light normally means half the usual serving. I hope this location starts hiring competent staff that understands instructions. Or I'll just have to go to another location that doesn't have teens during rush hour handling orders. Food is always good though, as far as taste. I've been eating at Chipotle literally since they opened up in Portland back in like, 2005. Once lockdown and working from home began I started visiting this location by Vancouver Mall instead of my normal Portland locations near work. It is COMICALLY bad. It is super close to my house so I keep going, like a fool, thinking it might get better? Here are some of the things I have experienced here since March 2020: - Rude, distracted employees. There is a blond girl who I think is a manager who is one of the rudest ones. She is rude to everyone (employees and customers). - Most of them seem to not be trained. They have no idea how to make anything or what proportions of toppings they should add in. Sometimes they put so much rice into my tacos that by the time they get to the guacamole they actually have to put it in a different container because the lid won't fit lol. Another time we got a burrito and it was like, baby sized? TRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEES. - The fajita veggies are always undercooked. And I'm sorry, but red peppers are gross. Go back to green please. - They frequently forget items. You have to watch them like a hawk to make sure they include everything. God help you if you order a quesadilla. It will add an extra 15 minutes to your time in the store as you watch them start to make one, forget about it, burn it, and then have to start over again. - It's always so hectic in there. I feel stressed out just standing in line. - Don't even try ordering through Grubhub, your order will be a mess. There is one dark-haired guy there who is actually nice and knows what he is doing. That is it. I go to Chipotle at least a couple time per month. Most of the locations in Vancouver are similar in terms of service and quality. I stopped in to the Battle Ground location this weekend and was surprised by the terrible service. There were already two people in line waiting, but not being actively served. They were agitated and indicated that they had been waiting for a while. There were five employees behind the counter working on various tasks, but none were engaging the customers. I waited for about 3 minutes before another employee emerged from behind a wall and started taking orders. No smile, no apology for the delay, just business as usual. The body language of the staff was agitated and again, no smiles or display of any positivity toward the customers or each other. I have a very mixed review of this place. Went in tonight and they were very busy. I've worked in the food service industry before and I understand people get stressed and they're probably also overworked and underpaid. However the girl tonight with the dark braids was so unbelievably unprofessional I have to say something. Rude doesn't even begin to cover how unpleasant she was. I was overly friendly with her and she was not only incredibly cold to me, but she wouldn't answer my questions about whether or not they had a certain food item available. How can you be making someone's food and not answer their question about whether or not they can get a certain side? She also got my order wrong (which happens). I was overly nice about it but she didn't say a word nor did she try to correct it. That being said, the girl with the short hair and glasses at the register was incredibly friendly and helpful. Excited for you a date night with my hubby and to try the new califlower rice. Well...excitement ended there. It's $2 more, ok no problem to be healthier BUT I get one tiny scoop of it that did not cover even the bottom of my bowl. They questioned my husbands order of chicken burrito and opened it up to find ummm chicken. I agree with other reviews. Don't go here. No issues with other Chipotle's. I have definitely mixed feelings about this location. I have been coming her since it opened last year, and there seems to be zero quality control. On two separate occasions I bought meals for myself or my family and there seems to be zero seasoning in the food. It's very bland and basically tasteless. I don't like overly spicy food, nor do I like food that is smothered in sauces or cheese, as I feel like those things can mask the actual taste of the food. Also, there has been a problem with online ordering where I placed an order and came at the agreed time to find the order was still being made. I'm glad I didn't have anywhere to be, but I let them know this was poor service. I went back today, and found the order was made early, and most of the items I added to my order were limp or cooked. And once again, the food was bland. The best experience I have had is with the customer service. They are friendly and helpful. I placed and order through postmates a few days ago and my order got all messed up. Postmates was amazing, but Chipotle was terrible. My husbands burrito came ice cold and my order was all wrong. I'm vegan and I ordered a burrito bowl without cheese. It came with tons of cheese and I ordered extra guacamole that never came. I picked as much cheese off as I could see, but I guess I didn't get it all. I was up all night sick. I emailed them and they were rude. Kind of weird that this location has such low ratings. I mean, it's chipotle, the Subway of corporate mexican food. That usually means that you could walk into one in Detroit and it'd be about as good as anywhere, this location is no different. In fact, it's been notably the fastest Chipotle I've ever been to, and they're already pretty fast as is. We went to this location 2 days in a role as were on the keto diet. BOTH days with it not being very busy we had to wait for carnitas and guacamole the first day and the next day we had to wait 15 mins for Steak and fajitas veggies to be made.. they offered no discounts. Ordered food around 5:30pm for a surprise birthday party and requested the pick up time to be 6:00pm. The app said the earliest I could pick up the food would be 5:40pm, but I didn't not need the food that early and opted for the 6:pm pick up time. However, my order was not completed until 6:30pm. As I watched other customers getting their food in like before me I considered canceling the pick up order and just ordering in line like the other customers. However, when the cashier asked for my order name I hoped the order would soon be completed. I was disappointed though when my order was not completed until 6:30pm. Needless to say, everyone was surprised at the surprise party when the food arrived much later than the planned time and after the birthday girl herself arrived. I am quite disappointed and would give this location a half star if I could. I really like Chipotle and love their take out. However, this was my first and last time trying the one on Thurston Way. I arrived on time for my take out and noticed several other people waiting for their take out as well. I waited over 30 additional minutes to get my food while they only made the food for the people standing in line. As guests went up and asked about their take out order, the manager did nothing to assist and just snickered at them behind their backs when they walked away. To top it off I did not get the guacamole that I paid for. I did not see a single satisfied customer that had a call in order. Either the manager was poorly trained or just did not care - either way she was rude. It's kind of basic, make the call in orders as they come in instead of letting them just pile up. I would have gladly walked out but because I had already paid for my order I was held hostage. Worst Chipotle experience I have ever had. This is the absolute worst location, things just keep going wrong each time I visit. I order online to avoid going and waiting in line, I get there and my bad isn't ready, I wait for 30 minutes then finally ask them about my order (because I knew it was busy so I gave extra time) and had no idea where my order was. I was in that chipotle for 45 minutes, and they didn't seem to show much concern when it happened. Tonight I go in, get a bowl and head home, and the bottom of the bowl has completely broken with food and salsa spilled all over my seat.
