Most of the time I'd order as takeout from ordering online. But for times I just eat here, its all good. I wanted to share some feedback about a recent experience at Chipotle. I have celiac disease, and while I wish I didn't have to think about my condition when going out to eat, I have to take it seriously to avoid getting sick. I politely asked the employee serving me if she would mind changing her gloves because I saw her wipe her hands on top of the flour tortillas when she greeted me. She was rude when asked, so I explained that I have celiac. She didn't know what celiac was, so I responded, "gluten." She then turned to the cook and rolled her eyes. I was simply asking for a fresh pair of gloves so I could safely eat. Having celiac disease already makes eating out difficult, and there aren't a lot of options for people like me. I was under the impression that Chipotle was a more allergy friendly option, but after this experience, I no longer feel comfortable eating there. I left feeling uncomfortable for simply trying to protect my health. I hope Chipotle can remind its staff that allergies and celiac disease are serious and that customers deserve to be treated with kindness and respect. Well I don't know where to start so I'll start with the first person to help me. He asked what he wanted and I told him "a bowl" 2 of them. I told him what I wanted inside. By the time the lids went on I had to stop them and ask what is going on. Did the portions get smaller because this is NOT HOW THE OCEANSIDE STORE OR ENCINITAS STORE portions are. Last night after doing Trunk or Treat at my church parking lot, my 2 friends and I went here to have their $4 Halloween deal for any Burrito, Taco, Bowl, Salad if you were wearing your costume. I decided to have their Carne Asada Bowl since the protein part was introduced fairly recently. I tried to have half white and half brown rice. I skipped the beans and tomatoes since it was already late for me to have them (personal reasons). I added some corn, sour cream, and cheese. The line was not too bad since the store made sure that it was fully staffed. Overall, it was good. The carne asada didn't have a consistent taste. Some were bland and some were spicy. It's always disappointing when you keep having to ask for extra scoops of rice and/or beans because they put the bare minimum. This time however the overall experience was great.
