I hear so many mixed reviews about raising Cane's, but I don't mind it. I usually just get the basic box combo. The chicken is always hot, crispy, tender, and juicy. The fries are good. I love the Texas toast, BOB (iykyk) and I always enjoy the lemonade. The staff has always been helpful and friendly every time I've been there. One of my issues this time was that the air-conditioning was turned up super high, so it was freezing in there. We just sat outside because it was warmer outside than it was inside and still a bit chilly. Usually, I take it to go because I personally would love more spices on it, but that's just not how they do it and that probably appeals to a wider population. When I take it home I add my own spices to my own preference, so I can happily eat it either way. Previously, the portion was big enough that I could usually make it into two meals. It's a decent fast food option, but the size of the chicken has shrunk significantly since my last visit so that was disappointing. read more

I like the food here, but I'm motivated to update my review because of the insane patter that the employees engaged in when I went there yesterday to get some chicken in the drive-thru. The employee who took my order began the dialog by chanting "Chicken, chicken, which combo are you pickin' ". There is no way a normal human would say that unless they were worried about losing their job if they didn't comply. If I hadn't just waited 5 or 10 minutes in the drive-thru line I probably would have said "never mind" and gone to Popeye's. i came inn around 12:00 AM and there was a line, but I intended to order food. Before ordering, I urgently needed to use the restroom, so I asked the gentleman working at the front for the bathroom code. Instead of simply helping me, he asked what I wanted. I explained that I planned to order, but needed to use the restroom first. He then told me, in a very rude tone, that the restroom was for customers only. I told him that I was a customer and that I was going to order food, but he still insisted that I had to order first. I was honestly shocked by how I was treated. This is not how customers should be spoken to, especially when someone is simply asking to use the restroom before placing an order. The interaction felt unnecessarily rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. You should really look into how your employees are treating customers, because this experience was completely unacceptable. Was it something I wore? I saw everyone who came after me get generous pieces of chicken and a good sample of fries. I got three very small chicken fingers and a paltry serving of fries. I used to eat here all the time, but I think I'm done with Raising Caine's. That sort of difference shouldn't exist. I felt cheated as I left. I LOVE Cane's.... But this location has gone downhill unfortunately. There has never been great customer service here so I usually don't expect it to be good. Three separate interactions and they all seem to hate it here... the one that took my order, the one that took payment, and the one that gave me my order all just had "get out of my face" attitude :( but the food is the real reason for this review... the fries were old and the chicken was so dry that not even the extra sauces I bought could help! And that's saying something. On top of the dryness, the chicken fingers were so small they were basically chicken toes. All of them. Almost $50 for a caniac, a box, extra sauce, extra drinks and we couldn't even eat it. Had a few tenders and threw the rest away cause it wasn't even worth it. What could improve? I don't know... everything? This location is crap. Don't know what's happened in the last months but today was a third strike and they're out now. First, last week the food tasted weird. One of us got sick and won't be eating here again. Secondly, things were missing off our order. Listed on the receipt but not in the bag. We could probably remedy this before we leave if were not for the fact that the girls working the food window are so pushy, don't even give you a second to confirm your name for the order before shoving the bag of food and drinks at you. You can tell there is no quality control because last week they didn't check to make sure the bag had all the extras we ordered, and today the girl didn't even verify my name before shoving someone else's food at me. Had to walk back in for our extras today because I checked and SURPRISE, it wasn't there. Didn't matter in the long run because once we got home, our food was severely undercooked and disgusting. I had the absolute BLESSING to be served by the one and only, beautiful Ms Gabby. I've been to Cain's many times, however tonight she made it such a special occasion. Never once when getting my order taken at Cain's, has any of the workers said any fun taglines. When the spectacular Ms Gabby took my order, I had the BEYOND PLEASENT experience of a life time to hear "chicken chicken chicken, which combo are you pickin?" As I walk in in the Canes establishment here in Vista, prepared to order my three finger combo extra Krispy every time. Sometimes my meals are to be expected extra Krispy. One of the worst chicken places ever!!!! And I don't say that light heartedly considering I'm from Houston, TX. The fry crisp is literally one of the worst I've ever experienced, I grew up in Houston and I'm not sure how this place has a presence. On January 10th between 7:40-7:50 I walked in for an order of fries only. I gave Bella my name and waited for my fries for about 10-13 minutes for my fries. I noticed they were calling out a fry only for a, "Bree" but nothing for the name I had given them. I walk up to the counter to ask about my fries and the male calling out the order said "oh she must of heard me wrong." If you read my name out loud it sounds nothing like, "Bree" This felt as it was done on purpose and I am honestly disgusted by the service and the treatment. For the longest time this was the only location in the county and I made 2 visits here and they were both consistent with tasty tenders and fries. The kid and I went to the nearby waterpark and worked up an appetite, then went inside and shared the Caniac combo which was as tasty as it looked. Both of us had been wanting to try for a while, and we gobbled it all before we left! I've always been a sucker for Texas toast & krinkle-cut fries... It would be nice if they had a good selection of dipping sauces to really kick it up a notch though. Service was quicker than expected, even the second time at the drive thru. I kept hearing the drive-thru lines were really long waits, like In-n-Out typically is. Well, we timed it well apparently both times, as we were eating within 10 minutes. Since then, locations in Santee and Mira Mesa have opened (with long lines and waits) and a newer one next to I-15 at Valley Parkway exit in Escondido.(Close to In-n-Out). Yes it's fast food, but their chicken tenders and sauce are top notch. We ended up coming here twice in the four days we were down here. Their sauce is completely different from chic fila's sauce. More of a smokey flavor- but so good. Live the fries too. Their Texas toast or garlic bread is fantastic too. Coleslaw is good, but not mind blown. Last- best restaurant lemonade anywhere.
