The second Chipotle in York just opened in November and I wanted to check it out for myself. We headed down there for lunch 2 weeks ago and I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. Because it is new, it isn't nearly as crowded as the first York location and we were there during the main lunch hour! This restaurant is in a somewhat low key shopping center in York Township, but seems to draw a fair amount of customers from the area. The layout is quite different, but I noticed it was fairly clean and seemed somewhat larger than the other York location. It has a nice layout and I plan to make it my new York lunch location, at least until the crowds discover it. No chance of that happening, right? I'm a usually a very big fan of chipotle. This is the only place I've ever walked out from without feeling full. I got a bowl. The portion sizes were very small. A 3/4 scoop of rice. 1/2 scoop of meat. Small amount of cheese and salsa and lettuce in general. Normally the bowl is heaping with food. Not so in this case. Tables and floor were dirty. read more

Well I have had a not so great experience here. Went there last night for dinner and the amount served was very weak. Both the wife and I had bowls. Normally the entire bowl is filled with rice. This time, maybe half. The amount of meat served was almost half the norm I have had. Even "double meat" was just barely a normal full serving. Stingy on the cheese. They seemed put out when we asked for a little more. Now I watched a few others being made and they were much more generous. Looks like a training issue with the servers. Either two of them are serving to much, or just one of them is going to low on the amounts. This happens. Did not notice a management presence tonight. Normally I see someone in charge moving about. Tables were dirty too. Staffing was light. Rough night maybe? Not going to give up on them. We all have bad days. read more

While Chipotle as a whole is great, this location isn't spectacular. Given its proximity to my house, I won't stop patronizing this location, I just hope they work to improve the experience in the future! On one visit, they had run out of rice completely, but offered a free beverage for those who waited while it finished cooking. The folks putting your food together always seem more interested in what their coworkers are chatting about behind them, rather than pay attention to what you're ordering. This is apparent when they miss getting some of the ingredients into your bowl. Last time I was there, the gal who made my food was very helpful and let me sample the pork and barbacoa since I was looking to try something other than my usual chicken. Both were great and I opted for the pork but will have to try the barbacoa on a future visit. I'm a recent convert to the hot salsa -- it's not nearly as hot as I was expecting and adds a delicious kick to my food. It's always clean and there's usually not a terrible line. read more

There are ample places that serve Mexican food. However, Chipotle sure is one of the best. The wait took a few minutes, but that was expected for such a popular place. You go up to the person, and tell them what you want. You then tell them what toppings you want. You pay, and sit down, of course unless you get it to go. I got three hardshell steak tacos, with medium sauce and cheese on them. They were absolutely delicious! I would most certainly go there again. I'm a fan of Chipotle. I usually get a burrito bowl when I go. Now, the last few times I have been to this location. I have gotten some uncooked beans in my bowl., Very hard and not cool at all. One time I swear I got half of an Avocado pit in my guacamole. It was brown and hard. I just let that go because I understand how it could have accidently happened but I feel that this location needs to focus on quality a bit more. I might start visiting another location for a while. They need to come up with a better operation in these stores. You always seem to have to "Yell" at them for them to hear what you want. It can get a bit annoying. read more

I go to this Chipotle frequently for my lunch break and they are always on point. Food is always hot and ready, and the staff are always polite. Even when the place is busy, the staff is polite and the service is consistently good. read more

Good food, steak is spicier then the other place. Prefer staff and seating at other Chipolte.

The place is always very clean, the music they play is always great, and the prices are more than fair. About $7 for a 2 pound burrito bowl. Some say that is expensive but I find I would spend the same amount at Wendy's or McDonald's and it wouldn't taste nearly as good or be as good for you or even be close to that much food. And for those of you that don't know, Chipotle only buys their meat from local farms that don't hormone or cage their animals. The only thing to complain about is that a few times the chicken has had some fatty chunks (probably depends on who's making it), and I have had luke warm food every now and again. But when the meat and beans are fresh and hot, and the lettuce, cheese and salsa are cool, and with a dab of smoked tabasaco sauce... You really just can't beat this place. read more

I've been a fan of Chipotle for many years. I've been to different Chipotle up and down the Eastern seaboard. Some of them have been good, and some of them have been bad. This was one of the worst. The staff was very unpleasant and unprofessional. I ordered a buritto and watched them add far less meat than I'd ever seen. The finished buritto was the size of a taco when they folded it up and they still attempted to charge me full price. I asked them to either give me a discount price or remake it. They were very rude throughout the entire process. What's more, I have never gotten sick from eating a Chipotle before. After eating at this location, however, I had horrible stomach problems for the next day. Stay away from this location. You'd be better off going the extra few miles to the one located by the Dick's and Best Buy. read more

I went to chipotle for a burrito, I had to wait 10 minutes for my tofu which doesn't usually happen, once it was ready and I had selected everything for my burrito they said the meal was free, Due to the fact that I had to Waite 10 mins for my food. It was good service and the people were nice enough to give me a free meal even though they didn't have to. read more

I consider myself a Chipotle connoisseur and this particular location is disappointing. I have visited Chipotles all over the country when traveling and each one of them is a bit different. This location never gets as busy as others that I've seen, yet they always manage to be out of something every time you go there. Most often it's chips which I can never understand. If they're making the chips there and still have tortillas, then how can you be out of chips? They've ran out of other things as well, steak, carnitas, white rice, dressing for salads, etc. Their steak is also very fatty as if they aren't trimming any (or at least most) of the fat off and you end up biting into gristle every time you order it. Finally, if you place an online order, nine times out of ten, it isn't going to be ready when you get there. They either didn't get to it yet or they have no idea that it was even in the system until you show up. read more

Chipotle is a great place to eat. Always get a salad bowl.The only problem with this store is they always run out of Fajita Vegetables.Some time you have to ask for more because the portion are light. read more

I'm going to start off by saying I love chipotle. I usually never have bad service at any other location but if you can avoid this store, do. I stopped by quick before I went to work to grab some dinner, drove off, sat down at my desk and started eating before my shift began. Half way through I found a LIVING bug crawling through my food. I immediately called the store and told them what happened and the person I was talking to huffed and just said "ok..." so I asked to speak to the manager and he said "this is the manager". I had to actually ask him what he was going to do about it and he said "well I guess you can come back and get another bowl". This is after the fact I told him I couldn't come back because I was now at work and so I had to explain that to him again so he sighs again and says "then come back another time and you'll get another bowl". I didn't even bother and called corporate who was extremely understanding and pleasant. Every time I came back to that store the manager and his team would whisper to each other and treat me even worse than before. They rolled their eyes and would audibly sigh...so I called corporate again. I really hope Chipotle comes to their senses and hires a new team for this location because their customer service is total shit. They're rude, condescending, and stingy on portions. So we decided to try something new tonight BIG MISTAKE. Chipotle on spring wood rd will never get our business again. By far the worst experience I've ever had. After having been in every aspect in the restaurant Industry including owning. This was definitely a major problem. Even my child was left upset which is a huge issue for me. We literally threw our food away because we couldn't eat it and left. Went to another restaurant to get food we could eat. No manger around to b seen. Music and noise to loud you couldn't think straight. You were pushed along like you didn't matter. Rotten food was served to my child. Dirty tables which other customers had an issue with as well. I have contacted corporate. You wld think after all the bs they had w the food poisoning they wld hav gotten their act together. So much for hearing about how great this place is. So for all of you that eat there more power to you but we not be going back. I'd rather go to Taco Bell. read more
