I've eaten here many times and many years. Over the years it's went down with flavor, quality and quantity. The flavor in the steak and chicken is none. It has gotten more spicy in the fajita peppers, even the black beans is spicy. I ordered here today for pick up and got the bowl ; the steak is hard , tough, dry and no flavor & quite spicy . I also got the steak burrito with extra steak same as the bowl. I got free chips and guac for a birthday reward. The chips are hard with no flavor at all. Good things: The rice is soft and done well. Employees were unable to comprehend our simple verbal order. When the employee put a giant, white, glistening piece of fat on the burrito amidst the carnitas and then stared at us like we were the problem for asking them to remove it, another employee came over. This employee also couldn't seem to understand why someone wouldn't want a golf ball sized, literal ball of fat in the middle of their food. Chipotle has really gone downhill. I'll give them an extra star because the physical location isn't a dump. But for years, I've really tried to give them a chance. Ive had too many awful burritos/bowls that either had something missing because they ran out or had something that was so poorly prepared that I couldn't finish it. For example, the last burrito I had was so salty that my lips were like raisins halfway through. The final straw was seeing the bottom of my burrito bowl after ordering online. So I am a vegetarian. I used to go to chipotle because I felt like there were a lot of vegetarian options. I waited in line for a very long time only because I just wanted some queso. And much to my disgust and annoyance. I saw a beautiful piece of steak floating in that queso. I would love to patron your store. I would love to give you money. But please please please teach your staff well. Teach them to not cross contaminate. I understand that it is a buffet style and you cannot guarantee allergen free food. The service here is absolutely horrendous. Not only were they out of almost anything, the man making our $32 bowls didn't understand a word we were saying. I am absolutely appalled at the fact that there were other workers standing around doing nothing but watching this man do everything wrong. Giving it 3 stars because usually I have a good experience here. Today, though, I place an online order and I'm late to pick it up. Almost 30 minutes after the pickup time and it's still not on the shelf and everyone appears to be too busy to answer any questions, then act annoyed that I want my order. I get home and open my bag and not only did they forget the chips I paid for, my burrito bowl is half empty. Let me tell you I've been a long time fan of chipotle and this one hits! I went here on two occasions and had delightful experiences. Their burritos can be hit or miss sometimes. I normally just get a bowl... After my last time getting a chipotle burrito from a different store I wasn't going to get one again! Until I dinned here. The staff here is incredible they're very nice and friendly. I gave them a shot redeeming my opinion on the chipotle burrito. They delivered the most heavenly filled to perfection burrito I've ever seen & eating. This burrito was totally above average... if you know what I mean. My socks were totally knocked off. They flew across the store front. I have dreams about this burrito. It has a special place in my heart. I feel honored receiving such a wonderful gift. Cried some tears of joy lol. My snacks burrito was massive too. So much so she couldn't even finish it. I love Chipolte, but don't go to this location. First time I went the food was completely bland. Absolutely no seasoning on the chicken or veggies. Thought I would give it a second chance and went back again. Rice is crunchy and undercooked. The second Chipotle in York just opened in November and I wanted to check it out for myself. We headed down there for lunch 2 weeks ago and I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. Because it is new, it isn't nearly as crowded as the first York location and we were there during the main lunch hour! This restaurant is in a somewhat low key shopping center in York Township, but seems to draw a fair amount of customers from the area. The layout is quite different, but I noticed it was fairly clean and seemed somewhat larger than the other York location. It has a nice layout and I plan to make it my new York lunch location, at least until the crowds discover it. No chance of that happening, right? LOL! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- UPDATE: 1/26/14: I still eat at this Chipotle when in York and love it! Great staff and very clean restaurant. One thing I've noticed here is the manager's attention to detail and cleanliness.
