I actually feel quite foolish but I do not want anyone else to go through this scam. I went to this practice and was told that insurance never covers chiropractors. They offered me a "highly discounted" monthly rate out of pocket. I agreed and began "treatment". During this time, I was diagnosed with Lymphoma and requested Chiro One to pause my program. While they canceled all of my future appointments, they did not pause the monthly debits. I did not realize that they were still billing me because, you know, I was busy fighting cancer. Once I realized this, I asked why this was never paused along with my treatment. I received a "refund" along with a note stating that I needed to make payment arrangements to pay this back within 30 days. This was super confusing, why are they charging me for appointments that I have not completed. I received 2 conflicting emails. One said that the practice had already completed all appointments so I owed the money (why would they pause treatment if it was already completed) The second one said that since I did not complete my treatment, therefore, i was no longer eligible for the discount, so I owe the money as the discount was removed. Which is it? The actual issue is that I actually believed they had my health as a focus but it is just about money. Next, I filed this with the Better Business Bureau. They could not get a response from Chiro One (what a surprise). BBB suggested contacting legal support (not me and not worth it) and ChiroOne's rating would be impacted since they failed to reply. I am amazed at how well dr.Lacy has helped not only my physical back issues but my emotional wellness too. My posture has improved tremendously. Now when I go out in public I smile and greet people. I heard about this company at an art fair this summer and took advantage of deal to get free x-rays and consult at this center at 712 N State in River North. This is not good chiropractic care and it is not customized to the patients needs. They do their chiropractic adjustments in the open studio environment. They have two drop-tables that people sit on chairs and wait for their turn. They don't even cover the entire table with a cloth or protective sheet only the headrest area. The doctor spends about 10-minutes with each person and I watched the same procedures being performed on all patients. I have used chiropractice services before and the way they practice chiropractic medicine should be outlawed. They are as healthy and therapeutic as fast food. When I cancelled their services, I requested my x-rays and was told I would have to wait a month to get them. I wanted them to take to a legitimate chiropractor because I have no confidence in them. Went there because I was having some lower back and neck pain and he was super professional with everything from explaining what might be going on to treatment plan that fits my schedule. However, the company's medical records department is super trash and beyond unprofessional. And deserves a negative star. I filled out a form requesting medical records to support my time off from work and I was given a number at the end to check on it. I've been calling that number for 3 straight weeks with no call back or any form of acknowledgement. All you hear is the recorded voice telling you it takes 30 days to get a medical record that's already electronic. I bet you can get a medical record within a week from a war zone like Afghanistan or Syria faster than that. Button line if you want a super professional doctor go there because Elliot is the man for the job. However if you're going to need a medical record after that, May the Almighty God be with you because that medical record department is worse than the DMV and the USPS at 9am combined. read more

I went here until about 2 years ago as my brother insisted I go. At first I went for fertility reasons but once I got pregnant the chiropractor was the only one who helped with the pains in my joints and bones. I tried prenatal yoga, physical therapy at Rush and provider's recommendations on specific exercise routines but nothing helped until I came back to Chiro one. Both Dr. Katrina and Dr. Elliott were fantastic and I no longer had my pains! The other plus was the my PPO covered it! I very much want to return but with a full-time job, toddler and the fact that this is in River North while I work north and live south is just not possible. I been going to Chiro One on Addison for the last 3 months. I was educated on the chiropractor benefits by someone who had a booth on my Gym Orange Theory. I had some pain when running on my right calf and back pain. Let me tell you I can't remember when was the last time I had pain while running. I have lost 22 lbs since I started with them. I don't know if this has to do with it. But I do know that it has help my body to heal and to be in less pain so I can move better. Also I own a spa and I do most of the services so am bending many ways and I am always with pain on my upper back the exercises that they gave me work! I recommend this place the people are lovely they treat you like your home! Dr. Jake is so committed to his patients always consent about you physically but also emotionally! This is not for everyone you have to be willing to put in the time to commit but most importantly to do the exercises at home. If you don't do them then yeah you might not get the results you want. I love my adjustments this is my favorite part of the therapy session. I have Insurance but I also have a high deductible they are willing to work with you. I was skeptical about Chiropractic health and wellness, and didn't want to find out anything further of what it entailed whenever I heard the word " chiropractor". I prefered to not go through the hassle of trying anything new and would rather stick to the regular program ( visits to to my primary doctor). And over time, I have damaged my meniscus and my knee pain became excruciating and unbearable to stand, walk leap anymore nor wear certain shoes. I am a fashionista so imagine me looking stylish without fab heels!!!??! 1 yr ago, I went to see My orthopedic doctor and he wanted to do surgery and said that because I am in my 20's and no longer 8yo anymore that I would have to cut out some forms of dancing. I had to get my knee adjusted and it took about 3 adjustments for that but after, I have no more knee pains. Overtime I walked a certain way which caused my tail bone to shift and my back to cause some kind of imbalanced. I understand that there are those of you who have had bad chiropractic experiences. This review is not one of them. Since 1976 I have been suffering from chronic episodic sciatic pain. I have had physical therapy, been seen by neurosurgeons and other chiropractors with no relief. I was chronically depressed, trouble sleeping and my feet hurt constantly. As a result I was over weight and knew that I could not continue to function like I was. I ran into a representative from Chiro one. I figured it couldn't hurt so I would give it a try. I was sent to Dr. Katrina at the River North Chiro One office and my life has changed dramatically. I am no longer on anti depressants, I haven't had but one sciatica episode in the past year, i sleep through the night and was able to drop 25 lbs because I could get moving. I am a believer now. The office personnel is top notch. The therapy starts when Bailey, Kenisha and Omar greet you at the door. It is a total stretching , strength enhancing and spinal adjustment experience that leaves you feeling fabulous. Chiropractic is not for everyone. It takes patience, will power, and lots of physical therapy. I have been to a half a dozen chiropractors in my life. But, Dr. Katrina is in a league of her own. This clinic has a serious vibe and sense of family you have to experience to understand. My spine showed a twist from top to bottom in the Xray. I felt it. In my sciatic. An acute pain I lived with over a year, thinking there was nothing I could do to help it. They said 36 visits to fix it. I questioned their effrontery! I didn't know them. I had never been there before, and that plan would cost thousands. I knew I was in pain, and needed to trust someone or see an MD for surgery....so I committed to 12 visits. This is what they do, they see this everyday. People in pain, seeking help...but guess what, it takes time to realign a spinal column that has been tweaked the wrong way over and over, for years. I am 11 visits in....62% better. A lot more work to do. Stretching like NEVER before....watching my caffeine, doing the exercises....VERY hopeful. Thank you Blue Cross and Blue Shield! Follow up: 30 visits in....way better, way stronger. When I stretch now, I am not afraid my back will go out...because I have put the work in and have done what they said. There is another way to fix your back that is a lot easier than: 12 minutes of stretching, 12 minutes of steps, 12 minutes of core strength on a wobble chair with a weight on your head, 2 minutes of arching, 2 minutes of neck pulls, TWICE A WEEK....its called a pain pill, and that ain't for me. This was my first chiropractic experience, and it was just ok. I have had some lower back pain in the past, and spoke to a lady at an event who told me about reasonable offer to get x-rays and have a consultation. That was pretty cool, but I should have just stopped after that. One thing I will say is that I absolutely loved all of the people that worked at Chiro One. Everyone was really friendly. At my consultation I saw my x-rays and was shown where my alignment was off. Based on this information, it was recommended that I come in for ~20(Maybe 22? I can't remember exactly) visits to do different stretches/exercises and get adjusted. In the weeks following I came in after work to do exercises, and I definitely got some conflicting instruction from employees on how to do the exercises. It would have been nice to be told the purpose and how I should feel during each of the stretches. They would also periodically give me a sheet with some stretches to do at home on it, with no explanation of what each exercise was for, and no follow-up. The most disappointing part for me was when we looked at my x-rays after my last session. I was under the impression that those 20 sessions were enough to get my body aligned properly. My lower back x-rays literally looked worse to me than they did the first time I came in, although to be fair, I honestly believe it was just an awkward phase of the process of becoming aligned. My neck x-rays looked like an improvement, but definitely not perfect. I didn't plan to continue treatment because it was quite time consuming and expensive, and I was told that if I stopped coming in that I would lose all progress because my body would revert to the way it was before in a couple of months. They did a very thorough consultation which included x-rays and they reviewed the results with me in depth and detail of what the issue was and how to correct it as best as possible. Some of the reviews below are quite entertaining... for example, they pushed packages and so on... seriously? When you have back issues, this is not a one time visit kinda thing. You must have several visits in order to work towards correcting the issue! Their pricing is reasonable considering they have expenses to cover! Both the doctors there are beyond professional and very down to earth. They're more than willing to answer any questions/concerns you may have. The front desk gals are a complete pleasure to deal with, from your phone call to the minute you enter the clinic they have genuine smiles on their faces. In addition to my treatment there, I was provided with a sheet of stretches to help my back pain/discomfort. When provided with this, I was shown step by step how each exercise is done. That session was at the office of Dr. Katrina, and her amazing staff. I see that a couple of people have been giving this facility bad reviews. I am not one of them. When I was 14, I was diagnosed with having Kaiphosis and Scoliosis. My spinal chord is curved to the side. I had to wear a back brace for the first three years of High School. After that, the curvature in my spine decreased sufficiently and I didn't have to wear the brace anymore; however, the doctor didn't recommend any follow up care or physical therapy. For about six to seven years, I was very stiff and my flexibility was compromised. It wasn't until last October, when I ran into a representative from Chiro One named Paula at the X-Sport fitness gym. She recommended that I see Dr. Katrina Ordonez, since she had the same condition that I suffered from. I went in for a consultation and Dr Ordonez and Jordan told me my exact issue and what I needed to do in order to improve. I refrained from Chiro One Care because of the pricing, but six months later, I decided to receive care because improving my condition was more important. I have been receiving care from this facility these past two and a half months, and I have improved rapidly. My bilateral weights are evening out, I can move my head and neck normally, and I can stretch down to touch my toes without bending my knees. I highly recommend this facility to anyone suffering from stiffness, Kaiphosis, or Scoliosis. Dr. Ordonez and Jordan are amazing. The staff members Bailey, Kenisha, Carla, and Omar are amazing as well and very friendly. Omar unfortunately left company in July, but everyone else is still very friendly and good at their jobs. I've seen multiple chiropractors before. This place is like a meat market. Everything is done in the open. They do aggressively sell you on packages and "therapies". I reasearched the therapies with friends who are chiropractors and they're like ehhh that really doesn't hurt but it doesn't at all help the real issue either. Nothing is customized. The therapies made me feel worse. I have bad knees, so they put me on a stairstep for 12 minutes with my neck bent all the way back and my arm in the air - felt way worse after. Plus I looked up the wobble chair, precor stretcher, etc, online - you can buy them on Amazon for $150 and $700 - and they wanted to charge me about $3k for each "therapy". Really was not worth the time at all and felt like I got no individualized attention to the actual problem. Plus they made it sound like I was basically dying and my back would be forever awful. I just went to a new chiro and they fully explained the exact problem, took xrays that contradicted what Chiro One told me, and we have a customized plan for wellness. Although I was apprehensive to visit a Chiropractor at first, the team at the River North location demonstrated knowledge, compassion and efficiency during my initial visits. No one in my family or circle of friends has been to a chiropractor so I walked in nervous and skeptical. This specific company, Chiro One, obviously has a clear plan and structure when accepting new patients which I appreciate. They provided brochures, screenings, video tutorials and verbal explanations that were clear and logical. They even took the time to discuss with me my personal health habits and how my lifestyle may be affecting my health overall. I learned about the spine and how to maintain a healthy spine. It was clear that their approach was not to simply provide a solution to ease pain with a quick prescription. They looked at the health and wellness of the whole person and looked to correct the root of the problem rather than treating the symptom. After regular visits, Dr Katrina and Dr Elliot have not only minimized my pain but have provided me with knowledge and excersizes to maintain a healthy spine.
