JUST BE AWARE OF THE 7am appointments! Came here last week for a 7am appointment to se Dr. Ather and he was running late. No big deal things happen, once he got in he took good care of me and helped with my issue. Unfortunately today ( 6/7/23) I rescheduled an appointment that he recommended I come at 7am again but I didn't want the same thing to happen so I said 730am to be safe and guess what? I showed up and no one is here. I called and no answer. Someone like me who also takes clients in and serves them. I know the value in being consistent and on time. Even tho the treatments were good I'll be looking for another chiropractor in the area that can be a bit more reliable when it comes to appointments. read more

One of the best chiropractors I have been to, he is patient and is very good at targeting my pain/injuries. The only downside is that he does not show up for scheduled appointments. Last year he was a no show for 3 appointments. He reached out to me and explained to me what happened I get it we all have things that happen, so I went back to seeing him. Last Saturday I had 2 appointments scheduled I was running a little late, I called to notify him. It was raining and the traffic was horrible, I sat outside in the rain for 15 minutes waiting for someone to open the door, no one showed up. I left a vm, thought I would get a call back rescheduling my appointment have not heard anything. Will definitely not go back I woke up early sat in traffic for no reason. read more

Dr Ather is phenomenal!!!! My whole family goes to him for adjustments from my 4 month old on up. My 3 year old loves going to his office to get adjusted. I just received a $700 bill for services provided over two years ago. It was an issue while I was going here that they could not keep up with their paperwork and now I have this bill because of their bad administrative practices. As a Dr. he is great but when it comes to billing, make sure your insurance is being billed in a timely manner and ask for invoices on a regular basis. read more

Dr. Ather has been a tremendous, talented, and knowledgeable doctor to see when experiencing any pain or injury. I have been going to him since I had my freshman year of high school dealing with a shoulder injury from football. Since then he has used multiple effective techniques to help rehabilitate back injuries, knee injuries, ankle injuries, or even just neck soreness. My left leg felt shorter than the right and was causing me all sorts of concern and discomfort and walking, sitting and standing at an angle. I got x-rays, an MRI, and was prescribed to get weeks of physical therapy which didn't help. I finally decided to see a chiropractor and found Dr. Athers. The first visit made a huge difference. Dr. Athers was so nice and personable. He diagnosed that my hip was rotated and did all those back crackings and stretches and I felt much more aligned. I was introduced to Dr Ather through my gym after suffering a herniated disc. On a scale from 1-10 when walking in the door my pain was at least a 9. After a thorough assessment Dr Ather knew exactly what to do and was able to quickly address the acute area with the right strategy. My odyssey began when I traveled to Chicago for a week of training. Leaving Midway, I slipped on something, or nothing, and 2 pirouettes and a full gainer later, I was on my back (I'm certain you an find the video on YouTube). Anyway, I did not sleep that night and suffered through a full day of training. At lunch, I contacted my health insurance provider and asked that they find an in-network chiropractor near my hotel. They gave me 3 providers, one was Dr. Ather, who picked up when I called. I described my injury and he agreed to see me that afternoon at 5:30. I saw him again after training for the next 2 days. I found him to be extremely professional, listened to my self-report symptoms, asked numerous questions, and best of all, corrected my back and muscle pains. I highly recommend Dr. Ather. I highly recommend Dr. Ather to anyone who needs a chiroprator. Over the past 5 years, I have seen surgeons, doctors, physical therapists and other chiropractors for back and neck pain (degenerative discs) but the pain never went away. I now no longer see any of them. I see Dr. Ather once a week and I can honestly say the pain is minimal. In previous years I was off the charts on the pain meter. What I like best about Dr. Ather is he listens to me. I actually think he thinks of his patients as his family. He listens and adjusts treatments depending on what my feedback is on how I am feeling. I can't tell you how refreshing that is. I think his goal is to get you to the point where you do not have to come back and if he can do that, you will be happy refer those that you know. Do you have horrible charley horses (muscle spasms) at night, particularly during sleep? I used to have them nightly and they were often extremely painful. For years, I tried various stretches, nutritional supplements, vitamins, diets, chiropractors, and physical therapists. NOTHING WORKED! Then, I stumbled upon a video about the Active Release technique. Desperate for help, I found Dr. Ather on the list of certified Active Release technique practitioners and made an appointment. I've been seeing him weekly ever since and I haven't had a charley horse IN 6 MONTHS!!! I spent years curling up in a ball and other crazy positions to try to get sleep at night, and now I simply lay down and stretch out. Active Release technique is the answer. I only wish that all doctors were trained about Active Release so that they could refer their patients appropriately. Along the way, Dr. Ather also cured plantar fasciitis in my left foot. An avid believer of chiropractor care, I can miss any other doc visit but not my chiro visits. I had my first treatment in early 2009 from a snowboard injury and have been to a few docs since then. I've got to say that Dr. Ather is the one who puts me the most at ease. He always gets the spots that ail me. It's important since I tense up easily and it's not pleasant having anyone crack the most fragile/sensitive part of your body (neck for me as most of my strain is on upper shoulders/neck area from a desk job). I make this embarrassing squeal (of relief and not pain) til this day when he adjusts my C1/C2 vertebrae. He listens and puts in the time with you. Lately I've been all knotted up in my back and he's been doing some physical therapy work to help alleviate it. Can't say the knots went away but it sure feels good. The office is not too far from the loop, the 20 Madison takes you off a block away. Whether you are looking for a new doc or trying chiropractic care for the first time, Dr. Ather's worth a visit. Dr. Ather is amazing, I went to him because I had pain in my knee all of a sudden and could not run. (Walking was tough too, but lets be honest, if I cant run, I am not a happy person.) I knew something was wrong, but I had no idea what it could have been. I am a triathlete, and anytime I have to spend resting is tough for me. Dr. Ather made time to see me right away, and did a lot of research through talking to me to find out what the problem actually was. I have never been to a Chiropractor before, so I was not sure what to expect, or if it would work. Dr. Ather took the time to get to know me and figure out the problem. After two sessions he was able to pinpoint the problem and correct it. I was pain free, and swam, biked and ran two days later without any pain or discomfort. I highly recommend him to any athlete.
