Spoiler Alert: Dr. Argen has retired There have been many changes here since I started treatment. First of all, all doctors are called "Dr. K" (now retired) or "Dr. Ben" - i felt like I was in Kindergarten. I do appreciate that the office uses cold laser which I have found to be amazing at healing soft tissue and post surgery. Also love the high-tech check-in and billing was very smooth. Dr. Ben Glasman is enthusiastic, energetic and great at marketing. Found him at a festival. I find his energy to be counter-conducive to relaxing, and his adjustment style is abrupt and jarring. Plus, though I've gone to chiropractors for over 40 years, he treated me like he had to educate me on everything. Rule #1: Know your audience. I found one doctor, Dr. "A" (Please! his name is Dr. Argen) who exceeded my expectations, and now he has retired. Dr. Argen was brilliant at soft tissue work combined with adjustment. He was the first chiropractor I ever went to where I could totally relax and trust his method when he adjusted my neck. He also had a great sense of humor. My first visit to Dr. Glassman was pleasant. He was professional, informative, and competent. We were starting to work on my lower back pain and hip tightness issue. It was discovered and communicated to me at my second visit that my insurance only covers the Physical Therapy portion and not the Chiropractic portion of the work. They wanted to offer me to write up my sessions as 'Physical Therapy' on my insurance and provide me free Chiropractic adjustments as a bonus. I wasn't comfortable signing up for something that I didn't feel was accurate. I asked for an alternative solution which led to us negotiating and agreeing on a cash payment of $40 per treatment. After paying $80 out of pocket for my first two visits, I thought about it some more and it didn't make sense for me to continue seeing them at $40 per visit versus seeing an In-Network chiropractor with an out of pocket cost of $15 co-pay. After I communicated this and decided on seeing an In-Network chiropractor, we agreed to part ways and I thanked them for the service they provided me. To my surprise, they responded unprofessionally with a comment of: "You should get better insurance." I didnt reply and just let it go. Several months later, I received a bigger surprise; a bill for $70 for payments owed on services previously rendered. I typically enjoy supporting the local establishments and don't usually write bad reviews, however felt the need report my experience with Dr. Glassman and his office administrators. I actually paid the $70 not wanting them to put any liens on me and felt it was just not worth hurting my credit. I guess the agreement we originally made didn't matter once I decided to go with a different provider. Unprofessional and disappointing to say the least. Be careful when dealing with these guys as they are unethical with their method of reporting and billing practices. read more

Best chiropractic adjustments I've ever had. I can't speak highly enough about his level of practical skill and knowledge. I've seen several chiropractors in my lifetime since I started going at age 11, and Dr. Ben is hands down the best. His staff are fantastic, especially Bao, who is attentive and has a natural communication style with regards to explaining the PT exercises, and the front desk staff are also lovely. Dr. Ben is highly knowledgeable, and cares deeply about his patients and the practice of healing. He even can do dry needling, which very few chiropractors in the area do. Dr. Ben has a great demeanor, which was apparent from meeting him during a special visit to my gym, and again at the Farmers Market. I knew, having just moved back to the area, that he was the chiropractor I wanted to see. I often have my 6 year old son with me, and it's never a problem - in fact, Dr. Ben got him in on the action recently, having him assist in adjusting me, which my son thought was a blast. I always feel amazing after a visit, and know I'm on my way to improved lifelong health and mobility. Go see Dr. Ben. read more

I've been seeing Dr. Glassmen (Dr. Ben) since late last year, after a terrible visit with another chiropractor (who shall remain nameless) that led to SEVERE lower back pain. My original visits were to correct ongoing headaches, neck pain, and upper back/shoulder pain from a car accident in 2016. I've continued seeing Dr. B on a less frequent basis to ensure that my headaches stay at bay, and to make sure that no new issues creep up with my neck / shoulders given my sedentary desk job, and my recent hEDS diagnosis. The treatment I've received from Dr. B and his staff has been phenomenal, including the front desk staff. And Dr. B has always taken his time to make me feel comfortable with procedures, especially given my status as a trauma survivor (trauma-aware care is not something you always find in providers - so I am especially grateful for this). I really can't say enough good things about this practice. read more

Looks like they changed their name to Breakthrough Chiropractic Care. They explained what charges I would be responsible for, which I paid and then they sent me a bill later anyway. I was charged for a cancelled appointment even through I went in person to tell them I was not feeling well and felt I should skip that day. I had one treatment and never went back.se. Billing to the insurance company differs from what I was told and charged. If you want chiropractic care, try someone else. read more

It is very refreshing the interest, care and professionalism of Dr. Glassman. He is really interested and works on addressing the issue in consideration, as well as avoiding future related problems and providing recommendations for a general well-being. In addition, his great personality makes the visit a very enjoyable experience. He is also great with my 13 years old daughter. He explains what he is doing and why in a language she could understand, while making the whole experience fun and pleasant. read more

Update: Just read the other reviews and it looks like I am not the first person they have done this to. Very unethical... Have called, emailed Dr. Ben and just talked to them again today (Danielle). They obviously don't care about doing what is right. BE CAREFUL! I asked the cost for office visit/ adjustment BEFORE I went in and they charged me something completely different! I was visiting Fairfax from AZ July of 2016. I needed to see a chiropractor because of some awful pain I was having and I wasn't sure if i could wait until I got home. I called the office and asked what the cost would be to see the doctor and get adjusted. I explained I was from out of state and just needed to see if I could get some temporary relief until I could fly home and could see my regular chiropractor. They knew I was not from the area and they would never see me again. They agreed to help and made me an appointment. They gave me the price, I saw the doctor, I checked out and paid the agreed fee. Four months later, at the end of October, I received a bill in the mail requesting additional money. I assumed this had to be a mistake. I called the office and the lady I spoke with told me this was the cost and did not care that I was told a different fee AND paid that fee at the time of my exit. I was completely shocked. I thought I would reach out to Dr. Glassman because I thought he would understand and correct the problem for me. He also stood by the additional fee they decided to charge me (4 months after the fact). I let him know I could not pay a fee that was not presented up front, especially when I directly asked what fees I would be required to pay BEFORE services and paid them IN FULL BEFORE I left the office. In February of 2017, I received a letter from a collection agency. I responded to them explaining the shady business practice and disputed the fee. I had not heard anything more about it until today, September 1st, 2017. I received a call from Danielle at their office. She told me I was going to be sent to collections if I didn't pay the fee. I told her that I was already sent to collections and received a letter from the collection agency over 6 months ago. She did not have any record of it and seemed very confused. I let her know that I had responded to the collection agency and followed directions to dispute the fee. She wasn't sure what to say. This office needs to get their act together. I feel completely hassled and just reviewed with my lawyer what to do about this situation. I have extremely good credit because I do pay my bills and I don't want to see that affected, BUT I also am not going to let someone take advantage of me with unethical business practices. I had not written a bad review yet because that is not something I do often. I feel like I am being hassled. They obviously told me it would cost one thing, but then charged me another. They should honor the price they quoted me when I called before any services were received. Needless to say, the doctor did not provide any relief to me on that day and now I am being hassled over $60. I am a person who pays my bills, but I cannot pay this because it is wrong on so many levels. Think about this...If you know you will never see someone again and you think they owe you $500, why would you only collect half of that upon their departure? This does not make any sense. So disappointing that this offce took advantage of someone who was in a lot of pain. I WILL NOT BE BULLIED INTO PAYING 'EXTRA FEES' THAT WEREN'T PRESENTED UP FRONT WHEN I SPECIFICALLY ASKED WHAT FEES I WOULD BE CHARGED AND PAID THOSE FEES. BEWARE OF THIS PRACTICE AND GET THE COST IN WRITING BEFORE RECEIVING SERVICES IF YOU CHOOSE TO GO HERE. It is over a year later and I am still dealing with this! read more

I do NOT recommend going here! The doctor charged me more than he was supposed to according to my Explanation of Benefits and my insurance provider attempted to work with the doctor to have a refund issued. After numerous attempts and several voicemails, the insurance provider was unable to resolve the situation. Since then I have sent multiple emails to Dr. Ben regarding the refund and I have yet to receive a response despite having been asking about this for over a month. Most recently I threatened to write a negative review if I did not receive a response and here I am.. Next stop is the BBB and any other platform that I can add a negative review for this unethical business. Do yourself a favor and find a different doctor that will treat you with respect and conduct business in an ethical manner. read more

Dr. Glassman is a caring and gifted practitioner. His chiropractic skills are superb. I've been going for months and have seen huge improvements in my back pain. In addition, his nutrition counseling, as well as many neck adjustments have helped my mental clarity- that was an unexpected bonus. Go see him if you need a chiropractor. They should be sued for insurance fraud... pay attention to what they bill you personally and what they bill your insurance. I guarantee you've been overcharged. Pay a great detail to what they send your insurance company. This place is a ripoff. The former Owner Dr. K ran a GREAT practice! How he was fired after selling his practice to Dr. Ben and his wife was horrible! How the patients were lied to about him "retiring" is even more horrible! Please do not visit here. Every Doctor, Front office staff, employees period. Has either been fired, mistreated and or quit. If you do a quick search you'll see that Dr. K is still in business just under a new office with more chiropractors. Do a quick google search for him and you'll find him. I first came here looking for physical therapy for my shoulder, but I ended up getting a lot more help than I expected. They had to take some x-rays of my spine and they noticed some lower back damage and a little bit my neck. About a week after I started going there three times a week and getting adjustments I didn't realize how much pain I was in and just dealing with it. Dr. Ben has great bedside manner, which is great he makes you feel comfortable because he's basically going to twist you up into a pretzel and jump on you to release the tension in your back. It sounds weird but feels great. I've been going for a month now and have seen a bunch of differences I no longer have headaches I don't have back pain at all anymore I'm overall a lot happier because I don't have pain anymore. Pain I didn't even realize I had. For the physical therapy you really have to keep doing it they show you how to do it but you have to do it every day and it takes a commitment but if you do it you will get better fast. Paulina and Jordan The physical therapists are Great to work with. Paulina always takes her time making sure that my position is good for the moves and if I can't do it there are other things that she could help me with or move down the difficulty with different exercises. Overall of had a terrific experience ever someone who had a sports injury like me, they really help me get back to where I was as fast as they could. I'm going to continually see them, because of my back issues, because I don't want to relapse and I know they will keep me continuously in good shape. read more

Dr. Glassman is amazing. As an avid lifter and fitness enthusiast, he's fixed many ailments. One thing that he fixed was the lineage of my legs ("one longer than the other") as well as lower back pain. I sleep better because of this and no longer have problems when I run. I met Dr. Ben at the Celebrate Fairfax fair in June 2016. I had been looking to add physical therapy to my multi-care approach to treat my chronic neck pain. Up to that time, I had been using yoga, deep tissue massage, Aleve and chiropractic care to treat my condition, but although helpful, the numbness and tingling down my arm from a chronic pinched nerve never improved. My neurologist told me it was something I just needed to manage and prescribed muscle relaxants - not the road I wanted to go down. But now, after being treated by Dr. Ben since June, the numbness and tingling is gone!! I'm a big fan of chiropractic and have been in the care of several chiropractors (to include my ex-husband) throughout my life (about 35 years now). They've all been great, but I think the combo of the chiropractic and physical therapy (which for me includes dry needling) has been especially helpful. Dr.Ben really cares about his patients and takes the time to explain things (although he does talk rather fast, but as a former New Yorker, I'm able to keep up). He even has a chiropractic health care class each Monday evening which helps reinforce the information you receive when you are in for a visit. He's very competitive, which can make it appear that he's more interested in being number one and getting the best ratings, however I feel that he genuinely cares for his patients and that caring shines through it all. In addition to the great care I receive there, I have found their location to be very convenient, they take my insurance (my last chiropractor did not, so I'm very happy to pay a lot less out-of-pocket) and every single person employed there is super nice and friendly. The only down side is the size of the facility. The PT room can get extremely crowded and when you are trying to concentrate on your PT exercises or relax during a particular therapy, other patients can get pretty distracting and disruptive. read more

I've been a patient here for years. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and I love Dr. A and Dr. K! Every time I get my adjustment and therapy I feel sooooo much better. I can't say enough about the care I have received here. When I first started seeing Dr. Ben Glassman 3 years ago. My back had gone out just from picking up my daughter. And I had 2 there doctors in the past tell me I needed back surgery without a doubt. I decided to try a more conservative route before surgery. With just one treatment he made me 50% better. Dr. Ben has a background in body building and weight training and helped me to relieve pain in my back and develop a rehab routine after I had progressively deteriorated in my cervical and thoracic spine with bulging/herniated discs and developed issues with torn labrum and unseated ribs due to improper training. Dr. Ben's relieved my discomfort with chiropractic care, and taught me correct form on the rehab exercises and stretches, and they really work to relieve pain when you do them at home. I also like that my routines are emailed to me in an online program as well as printed out, so I can retrieve and reprint them in case I accidentally spill pizza sauce or sugary soda on the originals (both of which Dr. Ben has recommended that I avoid). read more

"Last year I was in a bad car accident. I was t-boned on the driver side door, and lost consciousness for a minute. The doctor's in the emergency room took films and an MRI, said there wasn't any damage, gave me some pain pills and send me on my way. The following 2 months were agonizing. I would wake up with a splitting migraine almost every day, and my neck was constantly stiff. I decided that the pills were only masking the pain, and I needed to make a change if I was to ever get rid of this. I did some research online, and came across Dr. Glasman's website. I was a hesitant at first, because I was worried about my neck, but after our initial meeting the doctor really made me feel at ease. He had a calm demeanor and warm bedside manner. It was refreshing and he didn't rush me throughout the session. After all the tests and images we did, he diagnosed me with a sprain/strain injury, and slightly bulging disc in my neck. He started me on a care plan that included chiropractic, physical therapy, and massage. The pain that I had been suffering with for 2 months was literally gone within 3 weeks! My neck pain and stiffness went away within the first week, and by the end of the third, my daily migraines were down to a slight headache once or twice a week. I continued care and after 2 more months I was headache free! It was truly a life changing experience. I now have exercises and stretches to do at home to keep me healthy. Shortly after I made my initial appointment, I received a link to fill out all my paperwork online. This saved time in the office filling out countless forms. At my first visit Dr. Glassman took time to explain everything to me and ensured I did not have any questions. During my first alignment, I was nervous, but Dr. Glassman walked me through the process verbally before he did anything. Dr. Glassman even called me that night to ensure I was feeling good. I've had the same negative experience as some of the other patients. They are nice while you are their patient and they will even try to provide you with financial alternatives to keep you as a patient, like one time payment at a discount if the insurance does not cover the office visits. I actually fell for it and did that and two years after I left the practice, they billed me for hundreds of dollars. I had even talked to someone in the office (who I believe was Dr. Glassman's wife) and she told me the she was going to discuss with Dr. Glassman and get back with me, but I have now been contacted by a collection agency. I am extremely disappointed at their professionalism and trying to con patients when they can especially if you leave their practice. Dr. Glassman used to handle payments as well as therapy before he moved to Walnut street and I can tell you that I NEVER left his office without paying and he was very particular about getting paid, more than anything else. read more
