Cozy spot with coffee and matcha options. Came here with my fiancé for a caffeine pick me up after eating at Sun Nong Dan and there was a short line, but it moved quickly. There's a few outdoor tables but the space is very intimate, so if you need to have a private conversation or take a personal call, it may not be the best place to work/study. Matcha latte was solid as was the latte. They had some fun iced drinks as well as some food. Indoor seating was available but that seemed to be more geared towards people working. Metered street parking available.
Needed a cup of coffee after lunch and walked in here since the coffee bean smell coming from the spot was actually quite good. The folks working behind the counter took my order and my coffee came out relatively quickly. The coffee I got was good and similar to other cafes I had in the area. The spot itself is cute and small with a few options for sitting.

But the taste itself was underwhelming. We did go with our friends who have been here before, and they did say that the quality of the drinks have gone down a bit since they had last visited. So take that for what you will. Nice bathrooms, though.

While there were many interesting seasonal drinks, I wanted to try their matcha latte for my first time here. The matcha flavor was earthy and smoooth without being too bitter, and it had a nice balance of sweetness and creaminess. I love the cute and calm vibe, which could be a good place for studying and catching up with friends. I would say it's a reasonable price for the quality of the matcha and drink!

I used to go a few times a week but I'm going to have to stop purchasing from them. They seem to recently have lower quality syrups and are charging more for less. Since they're now the same price as 10speed, I'd go there for better quality coffee with bigger cups. The greed of these coffee shops is getting insane. Especially when the taste isn't up to par with the prices. BOOO :( hope you guys listen to this review.
The Matcha here is delicious! Service was wonderful, the drinks were ready quickly, even though they were extremely busy. They are very friendly and hard-working here, I love the vibe of the café. Plenty of seating, parking is mostly mirrored. Nice variety on their menu, they have a small selection of snacks available as well.
Got here on a Saturday around 11am and there's a small line that moved quickly. I got the matcha chai latte (hot) and my friend got the strawberry matcha latte with macadamia milk. Was slightly disappointed that the matcha chai felt a bit watered down and i could barely taste the matcha flavor. There are some small bites (chia seed pudding - different flavors) and merch as well! Indoor and outdoor seating but does get filled up quickly!
Their matcha was disappointing. Love trying new matcha shops, and this one used to be a friend's favorite a few years ago. He was so excited to introduce it to us, but this matcha definitely missed the mark. Ordered a Strawberry Mac Milk Matcha Latte. It didn't taste bad, it just tasted completely diluted with minimal flavor. Compared to the pictures he had taken from years ago, it looked like a completely different drink - he didn't even recognize the flavor from the same drink a few years ago. As I said, disappointing. With Little Tokyo nearby, there are so many better and more authentic matcha shops in reach. Probably won't be returning here.

Their STRAWBERRY MATCHA is so very good. The strawberry, matcha and milk proportions were great. Real strawberry pieces were in it too. You could see the staff working hard to whisk the matcha power into shape and into the drink through the glass partition. Their ICED LATTE is strong and refreshing. Their CHOCOLATE CROISSANT is delicious and they warmed it up too. Cute merch everywhere. Patrons were enjoying their drinks inside the cute shop and outside where the West LA weather is awesome. CHITCHAT COFFEE AND MATCHA is a couple of blocks north of the Sawtelle madness, as I like to call it, so it was very easy to find parking on the street.

It was lacking flavor and plain. The sea salt mocha was a bit better, but lacking flavor as well. Definitely tasted the salt but I didn't enjoy it. The banana bread matcha latte could have been better as well. I could taste the cinnamon and hint of banana, but the matcha flavor was missing. Tasted too milky. Lastly, got the Spanish latte and this was my favorite from the bunch, although not the best I've had. Thought the flavor profile was solid, but overall I just don't think I enjoy the coffee from this place. The coffee flavor in general could be a lot stronger imo. Super cute interior though, nice seating, and kind workers! Just not a fan of the drinks Parking is just on the street!
Decent matcha! The matcha is more liquidy though and the sweetness is on the milder/ balanced side. I don't mind! But it's not a super strong and rich matcha taste. The spinach and feta danish was delicious! I will be thinking about it and coming back for it soon. They also have $15 breakfast burritos if you want food. Service was quick and the employees were friendly. There are maybe like 8 small tables. Most of the seating is in the patio. There is a little bit of seating inside. read more
Sawtelle is full of cool restaurants and shops and ChitChat fits right in. We were waiting for a few stores to open, so we wandered down the street away from the main stretch and found ChitChat. Worth the short trek. It was a cold Sunday morning, but the place was busy with families, Gen Z'ers, young couples and lots of dogs. Out front, two girlfriends were hanging out with their matchas deep in gossip and clearly enjoying the morning. The matcha seemed popular, but I needed something hot. I appreciated that their drink menu had some personality, because a lot of coffee/matcha spots feel like they're copying from the same boring menu. I got the sea salt mocha and it was delicious. Smooth, chocolatey and just salty enough. My wife got some type of cereal milk latte, which sounded epic but was apparently just mid. Still, we didn't regret the walk. ChitChat is a cool little Sawtelle stop with good drinks, good energy and plenty of dog-friendly vibes. Pro tip: Afterwards, swing-by Yamaguchi Bonsai Nursery kitty-corner from the coffee shop. The bonsai garden is insane. read more

This is the one! Strawberry matcha latte - So good. I tried their vegetarian burrito as well, and it did the trick. Slightly smaller than a usual burrito, but it still satiated. read more
Parking is metered street except for one street across from the store. No more edible rose petals on the rose matcha latte anymore. The Cinnamon Toast Crunch latte had no taste of Cinnamon Toast Crunch, but the coffee was decent nonetheless. Highlight was the ham and cheese croissant, it had relish pickles and dabs of mustard inside. Would only go back for a simple latte and the croissant. read more

Super cute coffee shop. Definition of a neighborhood coffee shop. Plenty of outdoor seating. Customer service was great also Got myself a Spanish latte. Little too much cinnamon for my taste. But still pretty good. Really wish they made their own house made syrups but overall cute coffee shop. Glad to support them read more
This is a really cute coffee shop!! Came here because I needed to wait for an appointment but also get a little work done and I found this place on the north end of Sawtelle, and what a little gem this place is. It was pretty busy when i got here but I was still able to. Get a spot to sit and work. I had the Matcha Rose latte with oatmilk iced which was exactly what I needed on a slightly humid day in Los Angeles. read more
Cute small lil cafe on a corner on Sawtelle. Service was friendly and the drinks came out fast. I got the strawberry macadamia milk matcha. Its refreshing and goes down smoothly. The matcha was not powdery at all. The strawberry was also a good flavor and was not too sweet. I would get this again and I recommend for strawberry matcha lovers! The only con is that the matcha is not super strong but either way it is still good. I will be coming back to try the other matcha drinks! read more

Tried the banana bread matcha latte and it just wasn't it. Mostly tasted like cinnamon with a bit of matcha, and the matcha itself wasn't great. It was kind of watery and just mid overall :( This one just missed the mark. Definitely not worth the $7 to $8. The space is really cute and the baristas were super nice, so I really wanted to like it. Just wish the drink lived up to the vibe. read more

Chitchat Coffee & Matcha is a local coffee shop in Sawtelle serving up some unique matcha drinks! There is street parking all around the shop or garage parking with limited spots. They have a good amount of seating, both indoor and outdoors. They have a nice selection of different matcha, coffee, and pastries. Wifey and I got the Banana Bread Matcha Latte and the Strawberry Macadamia Milk Matcha Latte. Both drinks were refreshing with interesting flavor profiles and we could see the staff whisking the matcha in front of us! Overall, we are glad we had the chance to check this spot out. All of the staff here are very friendly and welcoming. This is a great spot to get some work done, chill with some friends, or just grab a drink and go. Come chitchat at Chitchat! read more

Do you make your own nut and oat milks?
Did they get rid of their Cinnamon Toast Oat Latte? I'm obsessed. And it's not as sweet as it sounds which I love. Went to place an order and didn't see it?
That's also one of my favorites! We still have it available in the shop everyday until we run out of our cereal milk that we make overnight. However, it's not currently available on Postmates.
Do they have for here containers? Or will they fill a mug I bring? In other words, zero waste friendly?
My friend brought her own coffee cup to use for the same reason and they had no problem with it; used her mug for her drink. Not sure about the containers though.
