This place was decent. It was quite busy the day I went so staff was just doing their job which was no issue at all. I tried the caramel toast and it was pretty good, very enjoyable. Although I tried the sweet potato pretzel with cheese and imo, I did not enjoy that at all. Besides that, the ambiance was very cozy

A small cute cafe to enjoy the quiet morning. The Apple design is cute. I enjoyed the atmosphere.

Coffee Tomo is lightly tucked away from Sawtelle, but it boasts a good blend of nutty and bold coffee. Not dark enough that it is bitter, but not light enough that it lacks the "wake up" kick. I had my usual, the iced latte as is, and from paying to drinking, every part of the experience is enjoyable. Note that this location is quite small. In other words, it might not be the best spot to study or have deeper conversations. Other than that, Coffee Tomo is a solid grab-and-go location with excellent beans!

Quaint cozy coffee shop with a delicious selection of espresso or organic teas. Red bean cheese pretzel yummmm! They play jazz in the background super cute place to grab a brunch coffee or get some work done.

Had the cheese jalapeño pretzel! Takes 5 minutes to make. Omg! So good, cheesy and fresh! Next time, I'll try the red bean and sweet potatoe pretzel!

Came here to grab a quick bite and got the avocado toast and pretzel for the kids. The avocado toast is different then what I am used to - with greens and softer balsamic drizzle which added a really nice touch to it. Also got a sea salt pretzel and it was so good! Very crunchy on the outside and super chewy on the inside. The guy at the counter is very nice, we are not locals so don't know city etiquette and brought drinks in from other shops. He was kind enough to let me finish without tossing it. People camped in here to work so it's a nice and relaxing environment.

I got a latte and the art on top was cute. Unfortunately the coffee itself was not good. The flavor was bitter even when I added sugar. I ended up not drinking it. My friend got an Americano to go and hers was also bitter. She did not drink hers either. If you need sugar you have to ask the person behind the counter. When we visited there was a single girl running the entire caffe, she was doing her best but this was just one more thing she had to do. Honestly I felt bad for her because she was very nice and really trying her best. We got the Cinnamon sugar pretzel and I did enjoy that. Doesn't quite taste like a pretzel, but it was good.

It was a pretty ordinary spot. Not bad, but not memorable either. The coffee was decent, and the service was just okay.

Cafe Tomo is a good coffee spot in Sawtelle. It is quiet and chill and the people that go there are usually focused on getting work done so the distractions are minimal. The tables in the shop also have outlets where you can charge your phone and laptop. I ordered the sweet potato cheese pretzel and it was alright. At $10, it's a bit pricey for a pretzel but it is in Sawtelle. The pretzel wasn't that flavorful but it is something to nibble at while getting work done. Parking at Sawtelle can be crowded but the neighborhood parking usually has openings.

Peaceful gourmet coffee spot in the middle of bustling Little Osaka. One thing that stands out are the fresh baked pretzels they sell here in various flavors, both savory and sweet. Another interesting thing is the drink selection, with many coffee and juice choices. The one drink that's their specialty is the Tomo Coffee, which is condensed milk and espresso, sort of like a sweeter latte. I just went for the normal latte, though. It's a casual spot, so I wouldn't expect high volume red carpet treatment from the baristas, but they're friendly enough and get the job done.

Superb cappuccinos still served in real cups.

Cozy, relaxing and welcoming place to drink excellent cappuccinos and read or talk. Very comforting vs. the brightly lit long-line so called coffee houses which cater to the matcha or iced drink crowd (BTW they serve these too). This place has been around for a while and I hope they survive despite people's changing tastes.

Cool and comfy spot to wind down and enjoy a cup of brewed coffee. Coffee is great tasting and rich. However, teas were not as satisfying. They were not so much a priority in this coffee shop. A few pastries available were a nice addition to the menu. There was only one person who prepared the coffee and handled the cash register. The place didn't feel crowded which was nice.

I understand that Shappy's is not Canter's where the pickup was for that day. But I had a bad experience with my pickup. The people working at Canter's were incredibly rude and kept bouncing me from one counter to the other. Please note: these counters are across from each other and it seemed like the employees had some kind of interpersonal conflict. They were rude to each other, to me. I finally went the host to get help and he brushed me off and said I couldn't pick up here. Fortunately, one woman came out from the back, a server, and she got my order for me. Of course, she was immediately reprimanded for helping me. I would definitely go again to Shappy's if the pickup was anywhere else. Update: Shappy's reached out to me about my above issue within 30 minutes of posting and they took the time to talk and make things right. That's customer service right there! I will put up with Canter's to support Shappy! GO BIRDS!

I ordered the Cordon Bleu Schnitzel with Brussels sprouts and spätzle on the side. The schnitzel was easily the highlight of the meal. I don't come across Cordon Bleu very often, so I was excited to try it, and it absolutely delivered. The Brussels sprouts were a great pairing, and while the spätzle was pretty simple with a light buttery flavor, it complemented the richness of the schnitzel well without overpowering it. The service was great throughout the night. Our food took a little longer than expected to come out, but it was a busy Friday night and our server kept us updated the entire time, which I really appreciated. My friend was also celebrating his birthday month and was given a free Beer Boot, which was a really fun touch. The atmosphere was lively and perfect for hanging out with friends. We were there while the NBA Finals were on, which made the restaurant feel even more energetic. One thing I also appreciated was how easy parking was, there was plenty of street parking both in front of the restaurant and across the street. I was cramped between others and as the designated driver, I asked for some ice water. The server, still expecting as all others, a tip of 18% plus, would not want to serve, he asked me to help myself on a water station. That would mean that all others would need to get up twice - for me to get a water. I understand that particularly during the World Cup, they do not need my/ our business. I had a $5 off reward to use on my Wetzel's account, and it was going to expire in a week. I was originally planning to use it at the Lakewood or Cerritos locations, which are much closer to me. However, after catching a movie at the nearby Regal Cinemas, I spotted this standalone Wetzel's Pretzels and figured why not use my $5 reward here instead? And also to see how it would compare to the locations I've been to inside a mall. When I came in, the first thing I noticed was how long the front counter was; it ran almost the length of the pretzel shop! In the back was where they made the pretzels, and you could see a little bit of how they roll the dough into the pretzel shapes. Faith was the employee who rang me up, and her service was more like whatever. Like she was helpful in answering my questions, but she had more of an eh kind of attitude that I think she would much rather have been watching a movie at the aforementioned Regal instead. As an example, I asked Faith what the three-fingered orange symbol was next to some of the menu items, and she had no clue (or maybe pretended?) as to what I was saying. I had to be more descriptive as if English were her second language, and she finally understood what I meant. Those orange symbols signified menu items that were available only at this location. And just when I was considering getting a Jalaroni pretzel, which I've gotten several times at the Lakewood and Cerritos locations, I was sold on trying an item that I could *not* get at either of the malls. The two Twistz, Pizza Bomb and Triple Grilled Cheese, were both exclusive to the La Habra location, and even when there was a photo of the Pizza Bomb, it was hard for me to make sense out of what exactly it was. Faith's response to my initial inquiry of the Pizza Bomb simply was to look at the photo, but I wanted her to clarify more about what it was. Since the Pizza Bomb felt like a Triple Grilled Cheese with some marinara and pepperoni replacing some of the cheese in the Triple Grilled Cheese, I went with the Pizza Bomb. With my $5 off, the Pizza Bomb came to about $4 plus tax, and Faith asked if I would like some dipping sauce to go. When I asked her how much it'd be, she said a couple of dollars, which would have been half of what I'd pay for the discounted Pizza Bomb. Since I didn't want 1/3 of my total cost to be a dipping sauce, I passed on a sauce, thinking that the marinara and pepperoni inside the Pizza Bomb would suffice. Faith did mention to me that they are made to order, so it would be about a 15-minute wait. I appreciated her mentioning that to me so I wouldn't be sitting there wondering why it would be taking so long when they already have a display case of baked pretzels that are ready for the taking. They have five small tables and chairs by the pickup counter facing the window, so I sat at one while I was waiting for my order. At the pickup counter, I noticed they had a bunch of copies of coupons for $1 off Oreo Bitz and $1 off Mozzarella Stickz. However, I noticed the fine print of the Mozzarella Stickz coupon indicating that it had expired in August of last year! Why give out expired coupons? To deceive the customer?! Even though the Oreo Bitz coupon wasn't past expiry, I didn't take one since the Oreo Bitz looked overly sweet to eat them all in one sitting. After a 20-minute wait, Faith handed me my takeout bag while mentioning to be careful since the Pizza Bomb was still hot. I grabbed a handful of napkins from the napkin dispenser on the pickup counter to prepare for the amount of grease I was expecting from the Pizza Bomb. I was hoping the Pizza Bomb would taste bomb, but it unfortunately bombed instead. The pretzel dough was overly thick so as to overpower the taste of the marinara and pepperoni. I would have tasted much more pizza had I gotten a Jalaroni Pretzel with some marinara dipping sauce instead! I kind of regretted not getting the Triple Grilled Cheese because I feel I would have liked that much better, even if it wouldn't exhibit a pizza-like taste. Their loaded bitz are also exclusive to the La Habra location, but they sounded pretty rich and heavy, like enough to call it a dinner. Overall, I'm glad I tried this standalone Wetzel's Pretzels location, but I don't think it's that much different than a mall location. I certainly didn't hate my experience here, but I definitely didn't love it either, so I think 3 stars is fair, even though I would have been pretty unhappy had I paid full price for that Pizza Bomb.
