There is a parking lot that i think is valet only, lots of street parking, I walked here so I wouldn't be able to give you the best idea but there was lots of spots and lots of seating both inside and outside! Inside is very well decorated with all different kinds of seating, perfect for catching up with friends or working! Service was so quick and so kind. They kept the busy line moving quick and I got my drink less than 5 mins after ordering! BBL latte is the perfect latte. This is the latte I envision when I am just looking for a good classic latte. Unfortunately, TikTok let me down once again. Came on a Thursday around lunchtime and there was already a line. The coffee shop is tucked inside a complex but no parking for coffee shop, only street parking, I had to drive around multiple times. I got the BBL, the summer special guava yuzu matcha, and a Gold Coast burrito. The BBL was good, but honestly not "wow, life-changing" like I was expecting. When I first got the matcha, the color didn't look quite right to me, and unfortunately it tasted pretty watered down. I mostly tasted guava and could barely taste the yuzu. The burrito was also pretty small for $16 and was a little too salty for my taste. I did like that they cook it right in front of you, though! Overall, this place would be a pass for me. This review is only based on the breakfast burritos and nothing else. I stopped by for a pick up and ordered two breakfast burritos. They were ready when I stopped by. I was looking forward to trying these but was disappointed. The main issue was the consistency of the burritos. They were both very soggy, the eggs were very wet. Cute little shop that's usually pretty busy. I've gotten their matcha drink on multiple visits, and the latest one I had was their Volcanic Vanilla (because I looove vanilla). It definitely tasted like vanilla, but, unfortunately, there was absolutely no trace of matcha :( My friends also agreed. This also happened with the other matcha drinks I tried here, even if it wasn't the Volcanic Vanilla. Their service is great despite being a busy cafe. Goodboybob has been on my list for a while now. I'm often in Santa Monica for work and always searching for a midday caffeine fix. I'm always on the lookout for different coffee shops, so I decided to check out Goodboybob and see what all the buzz is about. I love the exterior of the building with its moss-covered brick, which reminds me of Wrigley Field in Chicago. The building seems to be a repurposed industrial space, and I really appreciate the aesthetic.They have a cool photo machine where you can take a picture, and it prints a receipt with a QR code to save the digital image. The young, skater-looking guy with the beanie and chain suggested the 'Nilla Latte ($7.00) as one of his favorites, so I tried it. Made with their in-house vanilla bean syrup, it had a really nice flavor that was sweet but not overpowering - a well-balanced drink. I've heard they're masters of latte art, and I can confirm it's true. The barista with the bleached hair and Freddy Mercury mustache was an absolute artist. It was so cool to watch him create the latte art right in front of me; I've never seen anything like it up close! I don't mean to sound like a fanboy, but that was pretty awesome. The staff worked diligently to serve drinks promptly, and the shop was consistently busy. I visited at 2 PM on a Thursday and observed a steady stream of customers. The staff here is really nice. They are clearly a neighborhood favorite. There's hardly ever a couch or chair or table that isn't occupied anytime you visit here. The clientele seems to be mostly preoccupied with their laptops inside the cafe, but the ones who sit just outside are more talkative types. RIP Chapati!!!! ;( ;( The breakfast menu has been nuked. For a few years they use to make the most amazing take on a breakfast burrito -- the chapati. Crispy exterior, tasty wrap. Exceptional ingredients inside. Now its been replaced by usual ol breakfast burrito you can get for 25% less anywhere else. On top of this nuke, I got my usual big 6. The cheese wasnt melted inside and the eggs didnt taste good, like the boxed eggs from the hospital cafeteria. They were very pale yellow almost white, proof of poor quality yolk. The maple butter was also no longer good either. It was weak, just buttery in the burrito. The actual tortilla is also just whatever doesnt have that nice wheat stone ground taste just gummy. For $14-16, it is not worth it. I hope they bring back the OG chapati as others start to notice. ;( read more

Unfortunately my experience was less ideal than expected, my friends and I got the cosmic cream top (ube cream over coffee), matcha latte, and new moon latte (sesame latte). The flavors sound exciting, but the cosmic cream top lacked both a prominent coffee and ube flavor despite the color, the matcha was quite milky, and the new moon latte did not taste of sesame. It was visibly busy when I visited, but the drinks came out reasonably quick. The cafe itself is quite hidden from the street, tucked away behind what looks like a business complex. The environment is cute, with both indoor and outdoor seating, and there is only street parking. read more

Really nice, hidden cafe in Santa Monica! My partner works nearby so when I'm off, I like to accompany him and then get some work or reading done at this cafe. They have a pretty wide array of items and are really nice and friendly. I usually get their Matcha Latte, but they have a lot of interesting coffee drinks that are seasonal - such as the Brown Butter Latte (BBL), and their Volcanic Matcha/Cold Brew. They're also well known for their burritos which come nice and hot. I order the Wisco Disco - which comes with potatoes, eggs, cheese, and green onions. I enjoyed the burrito but I would have preferred the burrito was grilled shut with some more structural integrity. They have seating indoors and outdoors - and wifi with no password. :) Highly recommend a visit! read more

I think this might be one of my new favorite coffee shops! Even just based on the interior alone, the vibe is hip and cool, but still feels really grounded and welcoming. There's plenty of seating too, so it's a great spot to either hang out with a coffee or get some work done. We got the BBL (brown butter latte) and the Volcanic matcha (gotta love the names). Both the drinks and the atmosphere were honestly 10/10. The lattes had really great flavors that felt unique from your average latte. They weren't milky, and had the perfect amount of sweetness. Really nice little local coffee shop tucked away in a business area north in Santa Monica. They serve mixed drinks, beer and more in the afternoon hours, but I've only been in the morning. This place was pretty busy the whole time I was there, but kept people moving really well, very good to see! There's a good size space inside to sit down with couches and a couple tables. We grabbed a couch while waiting for coffee and it was surprisingly comfortable! It's a small space, but the way the couches are worked out, it's spaced out well and you don't really hear the people around. There's also a ton of tables outdoors as well. They could probably fit 50 guests comfortably. The coffee was great as well! Served in a nice glass on ice, with good flavor. My partner grabbed a bag of their beans as well! Solid, does the job exceedingly well by nailing the 1) coffee lounge aspect (great couches, outdoor reclined lawn chairs, high tops) with a nice clean hipster aesthetic 2) marzocco machine does a great well made standard cap for those coffee snobs. They also always have a fun iced latte seasonal menu that although I always succumb to wanting to try something new off this seasonal menu, I always get reminded that the standard vanilla latte or the standard cappuccino is technically (quality wise) better. Their iced lattes are still delicious but doesn't quite hit the spot as other specialty latte spots like Yeems. Each coffee spot has their strength and this coffee spot's strength is definitely their hot latte or hot cap and just the excitement (not necessarily execution) of their flavored iced lattes. 3) PARKING. Finally Santa Monica location with a huge free parking lot with ample parking no matter how long the line gets. 4) dog friendly! Dogs can be inside or outside, they offer dog water, treats and an optional dog entree for $6 (meat, sweet potato, veggies). Got the vanilla volcanic sea salt iced coffee. It was good, not too sweet but the sea salt vanilla cream which was delicious was kinda just whipped heavy cream and didn't integrate with the thin consistency of the iced cold brew under neath. Still enjoyable but just not executed as good as Yeems. The iced matcha guava latte was a little on the sweeter side and presented itself more like a yummy fruity milk tea drink. After a stellar 5 star experience, I had a 3 star experience :( Goodboybob is a serious coffee shop, or so I believed and experienced in the prior visits. I was warned by a coffee aficionado that their problem is consistency. I didn't realize what that meant until today. I ordered the side show Bob, which is the same coffee bean expressed as an espresso and pour over. The espresso was excellent. I was super impressed. I chugged some sparkling water that they so helpfully provide to cleanse my palette and waited for the pour over to get to room temperature. Unfortunately it went downhill from there. It tasted over extracted, lacking any of the subtle flavors of a beautiful Ethiopia from Rako. When you pay double digits for a coffee at a place that's renowned you don't expect it to taste like gas station coffee. I asked for a refill of the sparkling water in case my palette was blown. But nada. It still tasted one noted. When I checked with the helpful baristas, they confirmed that both the espresso and pour over should taste special, not just the espresso. In fact they agreed that probably they need to tweak the grind size and try a coarser grind. Ironically, they said someone else had the same complaint. So what would be a reasonable expectation? To redo it right? Except they didn't offer lol. This is the difference between a good and a great coffee experience, ones who truly care about their quality and ones who are running a business or caffeine delivery. I'm not sure where we go from here. But I remain deeply disappointed that a neighborhood icon fell from grace. If you do decide to visit, make sure you hit the notes, and maybe I should've been assertive and asked for a redo, but it felt rude to ask when it should've been the default offered.
