Step up to the Order window and try not to get too distracted by the glorious pastries from Chaumont (of BH). There's patio seating, kitschy and charming in pink and green. My friend and I went to Federal Coffee's bright pink coffee shop for some early morning refreshments and were happy with everything! They have some baked goods from Chaumont Bakery, including a delicious chocolate chip cookie ($5.75) which I recommend. They use Sight Glass beans in their coffee and have a solid cold brew. Important to note, they only have outdoor seating and no bathrooms so this is more of a short hang type of spot, then a camp all day to work spot. read more

Stopped by Federal Coffee and tried the Maple Cream Latte and the Sugar-Free Vanilla Latte. The coffees were okay overall. The Maple Cream Latte was fine, but the maple flavor wasn't very strong, and the cream on top was a bit light. The Sugar-Free Vanilla Latte tasted like it was made with a standard grocery-store sugar-free creamer, which wasn't great. Overall, it was just alright--probably won't be coming back. read more

There is street parking so if you get lucky to find one, then you scored. The coffee shop is located on the corner, you sure can't miss it. Federal Coffee is one of those super cute neighborhood coffee spots that feels like a little caffeine escape from the workday. It's located in West LA, pretty close to where I work, and sometimes my coworker and I just have to go on a "coffee run" for morale. "Sometimes" hahah...Often! Through our visits here, I've learned that the matcha latte is excellent and so is the seasonal pumpkin spice latte - which I happily confirm lives up to the hype. I also love their pastries, though whew... they are on the pricier side. Worth it occasionally (like when I neglect to have breakfast at home) but definitely not an everyday indulgence for me. A few things to note: there are no public restrooms, no indoor seating, and it's an order-at-the-window kind of place. That said, they do have some tables and chairs outside which is perfect on a nice SoCal day. All in all, great coffee, great vibe, just not a spot to settle into for hours but more of a quick, joyful caffeine stop. read more

I stopped by here after the gym wanting to support a non-chain coffee place. Really cute corner where you order in one window and pick up in another. I had an espresso and a veggie burrito. The service was super friendly! The espresso was good and served in a small paper cup which I liked. The burrito was all right. They also had a bunch of yummy looking and creative flavor pastries that I will target next time. Love the sidewalk tables and community of mellow people and dogs who frequent this sweet place. My girlfriend and I stopped by Federal Coffee early on a Sunday morning. The coffee was decent, and the shop itself has a nice vibe. It's a cool little corner spot with some outdoor seating and a neat mural. You order at the walk up window. I didn't have any issues with finding street parking. I found a spot pretty close without any trouble. The service wasn't there though. They were finishing up an order for the customer ahead of us, so it didn't seem very busy. Still, the baristas seemed more focused on their own conversation than on being welcoming. It came across like they were rushing through our order just to get back to talking with each other. After we ordered, no other customers showed up until we were about to leave. It's a one and done spot for me but still a cool place to check out though, especially if you like all pink everything. read more

New favorite matcha spot! They use some of the highest quality matcha I've seen for a coffee shop on the west side (Ippodo Ikuyo). I always grab an iced matcha latte with oat milk and they never miss! No parking lot, but pretty easy to find street parking on Pico or in the nearby neighborhood. read more

Found this place on TikTok for the pink coffees, decided to take a friend with me to try it. They do NOT have any inside seats! Sadly it was a sunny but a colder day so this did cut our coffee date short. I did ask about the pink flavors and it sounded like it was just food coloring, which also made the hype less exciting for me. I ordered my coffee hot and it wasn't pink so I assume it's only for the cold drinks that can be pink. My server also wasn't able to make a cute art on the top, she apologized which is fine but again didn't add to my expectation. The service was overall good and the coffee came out pretty quickly. It was so windy that the umbrella outside fell on the streets as well. Overall the hype didn't live it up for me but it wasn't a bad coffee. Woman working register very sarcastic and rude for no reason. Rolling eyes and being condescending. Kind of ironic since this place has "F- Ice" signage up on the windows. That is cool and hip, but maybe train your employees to treat everyone equally? Food looks old so we chose not to get any. Ambiance was confusing. The building is painted bright colors, but everything from the floors, to the wall, counters, tables, and neon signage is dirty and covered in dust and dirt. I love this place! Just a heads-up: there's no indoor seating and the outdoor spots are pretty limited. Finding parking in the neighborhood can be a bit of a hunt, but it's totally worth it. One of the coolest things is they'll make your coffee pink for free--how fun is that? The coffee and baked goods are delicious; I've enjoyed everything I've tried here. First time here and the menu was easy to maneuver. this is a cashless shop so please keep that in mind when visiting!! My large matcha with the customizations was around 9.50 and the vegan cross isnt was almost 6. The matcha latte was amazing! Not too sweet and I love that the lavender syrup is house made. Such an underrated contribution to coffee shops. The matcha is quality you can tell by the color and taste. Of course how cute is the pink addition to my latte?? 9/10. If it's pink, I'm like totally there. Lol. I have had this place bookmarked for some time now. I was in the area so, I decided to get a very well deserved latte. Easy to find and easy to find parking. I saw at least two or three spots on the street on my walk over to this place (which wasn't a very long walk). I thought the drink could be better. I got an iced vanilla latte with oat milk and of course, I wanted the pink aesthetic so I got it with the pink coloring. I felt the drink didn't justify the $8.00 price. I've had so much better for a lot less. I didn't think much of this drink. In fact, I didn't even finish it, which says a lot. First off I love the design with lots of pink & tile & mural... it's super IG friendly :) I ordered a Gibraltar and it was very good :) You order at a walkup window and they have no indoor seating so I decided to sit at one of the sidewalk tables. I found another delicious coffee spot to add to my favorites! While driving around West LA, we spotted Federal Coffee. We busted a U-turn so quickly. There was parking right in front just waiting for us. The coffee shop is a walk-up, and you order through the window. The menu is short and sweet, which worked for us. I love the colors and the cuteness vibes this shop gives. I absolutely love the pink!! Hubby and I ordered an iced vanilla latte. They offer outdoor seating. It was a beautiful day, so we decided to take a seat. The sun felt amazing! Our order was ready in less than 5 minutes. Our first sip was mind-blowing delicious! It was sooooo yummy!
