Excellent service by Chito who I engaged to replaced my rear window after reading rave reviews about his business on Facebook. My sons 2013 Nissan Exterra had the rear window shot out one rainy afternoon in March '18. After reading reviews about his service I phoned him up and hoped for the best for a spur of the moment repair. He told me if I could have the car there by noon he'd have it ready by closing time and have all the safety glass that blew in throughout the interior all vacuumed out too. He advertises as a mobile glass repair service but we went to his old school shop in San Pedro. True to his word the window was replaced and after leaving the door undisturbed & holding tape in place for 72 hours, it's securely in place with the perfect tint. My car window got smashed in but some whacko trying to steal my old ipad and pawn it for 10 dollars so I called this place to get it replaced. Want quick, reasonable service to replace your windshield,,, head over to Chito's on Pacific between 4th & 5th St. They did a wonderful job putting in a new windshield including all the sealing and trim, gave me a good deal, and threw in a few small jobs for no extra charge ( I needed wiper blades & arms and a brake light replaced. ) Miguel ordered the part needed immediately, had it within an hour to begin work and went above and beyond with the little details. He was working alone at the time so couldn't leave the shop, but gave me the info I needed to pick up the wipers and bulbs at the Auto Zone across the street. Miguel had my car ready in less time than he quoted me, and phoned me when it was ready. Call ahead to plan the work even if it needs to be done today, then call again when you are there so they can unblock the entryway for you - there is no back entrance. The shop is on the east side of Pacific, so drive west on 5th St & right on Pacific to make it easy to enter. As their name implies, there are times when they will come to you to do the work needed - probably depends on distance and type of work. Ask for this service if you need it. Great job done quick at best price!!!! I had a long crack in my windshield. Called All Star and Safelite. Then Miguel quoted me the best price plus no disposal fee and new molding included. I needed to get a new driver side window replaced after it got shattered from something hitting it on the freeway. I called around a few places to get some quotes and decided to go with a local place plus the price wasn't bad. I called and talked to Chito, I asked if I could bring my car in the following day at noon, he said that would work. I gave him my name and number and that was that. I brought my car to the shop the next day at noon but Chito wasn't there. Javier was there instead and he didn't really seem to know about me bringing my car in. He also didn't know about a deposit, but said I didn't need to give one since I was leaving my car behind. He was really nice but for the second time, I had to give my name and phone number. Not a big deal. I left my car and went to run some errands. I got a call from Chito at about three saying my car was ready to be picked up. Quick job. Unfortunately I couldn't go right that moment and told him I would be there by 5 since that was when they closed or so I thought. He told me that he would not be there because he had to go on another call and wouldn't be back until after 6 which I still said worked for me since I couldn't get there until 5 or later. He ended up calling me back saying someone would be at the shop waiting for me to get there at 5 so that I could get my car then. I said okay. I went to get my car just before five and a woman was there. I paid her and she gave me my key. The car looked great and had the new window. Since the shop is so small my car was parked on the street and I didn't want to inspect the car while traffic was whizzing by so I drove my car around the corner to inspect it. For the most part, everything looked okay. The top of the door trim (where you would rest your elbow) was loose compared to the other door. (2 years ago, I had the passenger side window replaced so I was comparing equal jobs done). The trim on my passenger side was tight and snug. After seeing this, I walked back to the shop and talked to the woman there. She said okay, thank you for bringing it to my attention, let me write down your name and number (for a third time) and Chito will call you back. Since then, I have not received a phone call. Plus, now that I have been driving my car, I hear wind crackling through the glass which I didn't use to hear. It is almost like the glass doesn't fit perfectly. It is extremely annoying to hear. I will take it to a better place to make sure everything is actually done right. Don't waste your money here, pay more to get it done right. The only reason they aren't getting 1 star is because the people were nice and when the car isn't moving, it looks great with the new glass. read more

It is really hard to find honest car repair help... a place that doesn't price gouge or add unnecessary charges for things you don't really need. I stopped in here at the recommendation of someone from Autozone because I was looking for a piece of interior weather stripping for the passenger window of my Smart Fortwo, and Autozone only sells the kind that goes on the outside. My window was fine, it's just that without that rubber strip on the inside, there was a lot of noise when I drove, especially on the freeway. Since my Smart is a little bit older, I was trying to avoid going to a dealership who would likely charge me to replace the whole door (or car lol). I didn't have much faith these guys could help me, but I thought it was worth a shot. It turns out, they went above and beyond!!! They examined both my windows thoroughly and explained the issue, even pointing out the exact part I needed. They were reluctant to do the job themselves, because they didn't offer the OEM part and they wanted to make sure I'd be happy with the results. But when I explained that I really didn't want to get gouged by the dealership and I wasn't that picky, they pulled a piece of stripping from their own supply and fixed my car right there on the spot! Not only is it now good as new... but they didn't charge me a cent to do it!!! Not for labor, or even the part! They wouldn't even let me buy them a six pack of beer for their efforts! Who turns down free beer?! These guys! Then, they risked their lives stopping traffic on the busy street so I could back out safely and drive off into the Sunset (figuratively speaking) in my now whisper-quiet ride. The gratitude I feel is beyond words. Kind people like this really deserve your business (and mine). The next time I have a broken window, this place will be my first call. Wow.
