The replacement didn't take long, and after inspecting the installation, I was satisfied with the overall quality of the work. The price was also very affordable, which I really appreciated. As some constructive feedback, I do wish the adhesive used to install the windshield had been applied a bit more cleanly. If you look closely, you can see the outline of the adhesive around the edges. While this doesn't affect my overall satisfaction with the replacement, I think a little more attention to detail in the finishing would make the service even better. Police were called and I had a $1240.00 bill to repair my car after this non English speaking worker left my home. On 2/19/2021 I hired Auto Glass Mobile to replace the broken rear passenger side window on my 2014 Audi Q7. They sent over a man who spoke absolutely no English and since I don't speak Spanish we had limited ability to communicate. I unlocked my car and he motioned that he needed the keys so I left them in the car. I could hear him working in my driveway, he had music playing loudly, which I assumed at the time was coming from his own truck, but it turned out it was from my car. When he knocked on my door and said he was done and wanted to be paid, I said I wanted to confirm he did the work satisfactorily and wanted to make sure my automatic window still sent up and down correctly after he replaced the glass. Unfortunately I was unable to do that because he had run my car battery down until it was dead. I told him I can't pay until, #1 my car battery is charged, and, #2 I can check your work and make sure my window goes up and down correctly, smoothly and closes and opens all the way. This guy had turned on my radio and changed my saved Sirius station to a Mexican music station and blasted music for more than 1 1/2 hours. My glove box was also open for no reason and his clothes and hands were quite dirty. He was all over my car and stuff. Zero English and Zero boundaries. He then argued in Spanish and used a lot of body movements to impress upon me that he was demanding payment. He called the LAPD and when the police came they asked me what happened. I told them what happened and they both laughed and said I shouldn't pay anyone until I have my car and window back in working order. The LAPD told the guy this is not a police problem unless you become aggressive and if you continue to go in that direction they would arrest him, one of the officers spoke some Spanish. I called Auto Glass and Mobile and they wanted me to use my personal Triple AAA card to charge the battery. The tow truck driver came out on my dime and charged the battery, he said it was bad for my battery to have run it down that much. He was correct, after that I had to recharge my battery every couple of months until it became unreliable and I had to have it replaced. Santa Monica Audi ended up charging me $1240.00 to replace it as in order to replace the battery in a 2014 TDI Q7 they have to take out the drivers seat to access the battery and it is a time consuming and labor intensive process. Auto Glass offered to give me a discount on the bill for what a tow truck would have cost. They should have charged me nothing. Unprofessional and risky. to this day I don't know what he took out of my glove box. The only good thing about using my own Triple AAA card and having the police called,(because the neighbors were not happy about the police showing up and neither was I), was that I have proof it all happened. The fact they hired such an unprofessional moron in the first place and then let my experience get dragged out with police and a $1240.00 auto repair bill is beyond acceptable. Stay away. read more
