If you are looking for a local, fresh, quality rice bowl, salad, or wrap, Chive is a great option. Basically, you stand at the counter and order your food and can customize the ingredients kind of like a salad bar where you see all the options before you but only the server has access to the ingredients. If anything, it is a bit pricier for the local area but well worth it compared to most big city areas. They do have a couple of small tables on the sidewalk for eating outside in the good weather which I think is a great option. My only feedback would be that the interior is basic and not that comfortable for hanging out. I think adding some textures and maybe dividers would make at a cozier place to go out and not want to get done and leave quickly. read more

Their CHIPS! So good. Make sure you order them if they don't come with your meal. We tried the Cobb Salad and Salmon Salad. The Cobb Salad was larger in size than the Salmon Salad. But according to my husband the lemon vinaigrette dressing on the Salmon Salad made up for the smaller portion size. If you love blue cheese (I do!) you will enjoy each bite of the Cobb Salad. Chive is an incredible place to grab a freshly made, healthy, and delicious bite to eat. Everything is made to order and most everything in the place is made fresh that day. Their dressings, sauces, salsa, and hummus are all house-made. I moved to this area after spending half my life in California and one of the things that are hard to find around here is anything that has an authentic Latin flavor. Chive manages to get it right. There is a simplicity in what they make that really allows you to get to the flavors in the food itself, without being masked by tons of spice. I love that because I often feel like restaurants overcompensate with "flavor" and you don't actually get much of the flavor of the food. My favorite menu items are the Carnitas wrap made with their house-made pickle slaw, slow-roasted pork shoulder, and chili lime dressing. As far as pork-based wraps go this is just about as perfect a combo of flavors as you can get. I also love the Fall farmer bowl, better for colder weather, just an awesome meal. Chicken, wild rice, sweet potatoes with goat cheese, and apples. My wife loves Hummus, I never really like it. but I could eat Chive's home-made hummus by the gallon. Especially with their homemade chips. It's amazing. Actually about a month ago I called to see if we could order a big vat of it. My wife was happy... she has Chive hummus and chips for like 2 weeks. This is a great business providing something that this area really needed. Fresh, healthy, and delicious food in a relaxed made-to-order environment. The owners are standup community-minded people too who are always looking for ways to positively impact the area they live and work and that is big in my book. We need more business owners like them. Wow! I'm loving this new spot! We have gotten a take out order before but finally got to go in and sit down for lunch. There is a lot of natural light coming in making it a bright and welcoming place to grab some food. Their menu is full of different options for bowls, salads or wraps. Everything sounds like something I'd love so it has been a challenge deciding which item to try next. I've gotten the carnitas wrap and shrimp bowl so far and both were great. The flavors and fresh vegetables really add to each meal. I'm not sure what else to say except that the service was also good! We are so glad a place like this opened up. read more

Great place! We tried the greek (chicken) wrap and the adobo steak wrap. Both great!! The greek wrap had lots of different vegetables and bright flavors. The steak adobo was rich and hearty and the steak was medium, which is amazing for a fast casual restaurant! They were able to handle nut/sesame allergy. (note:They do use hummus which has sesame.) My family and I decided to give Chive a try during our quarantine bc we think it is extremely vital to support local businesses during this time. We ordered our food online and picked it up at a table at the very front of the store (they did have a sign that they would bring it to your car for you.) I walked in and there was a kind gentleman scrubbing and working hard. I grabbed my food, left my tip, easy peesy. :) They were kind and the food was absolutely IMPECCABLE.
