I ordered a Strawberry Banana smoothie, and my husband ordered a Tropical Blast smoothie (papaya, pineapples, strawberries, bananas, and orange sherbet). This restaurant had a sign that said they were understaffed and trying to hire employees, but the two employees who were there were very courteous and gave us timely attention. One of my favorite juice bars. Playa bowls still holds the spot for my #1 ever, but I love Pulp- it's WORLDS better than the only açaí bowl place where I live: Clean Juice. Prices are cheap! I got an açaí bowl with peanut butter and chia seeds added and it was only $8. I usually get blueberries too but I forgot today. I really wish they had some more toppings; I love pineapple, strawberries, and coconut in my bowl as well. Their açaí base is some of the best I've ever had! I would have loved some more toppings (without the additional cost) though I did add the peanut butter and blueberries. There was about a half cup of peanut butter added, and while I enjoy peanut butter it was just waaaay too much! The girl working was doing her absolute best and I felt bad for her. She was there alone and there were a lot of people there. She wasn't friendly, though I tried really hard to help boost her mood. That is not the reasoning for my three stars though. When I randomly saw a Pulp sign on the freeway, we pulled over here. I came in looking like a total mess. The gal working (I regret not getting her name), was really sweet. She made my smoothie in a record amount of time for any Pulp I have ever been to, ever. It made me so happy I could have cried. My major complaint is that the company itself didn't provide adequete allergen training to its employees - though the employees themselves are very accomodating to help find out that information from the packaging of the ingredients used. The secondary negative I have noticed is that there is not a description on the menu of what the GreenBlend that seems to be in a few of their smoothies are. Honestly, I come here semi-frequently because there aren't many smoothie places around here and I think this might be my last time. As per usual, the employees were completely avoidant and disinterested in the fact that people were walking in. Aside from one girl i see in the early afternoons who is always nice, the rest look like they'd rather die than be working there. I ordered a regular smoothie and good grief- there was a 3 inch gap at the top of empty space in the cup, it literally looked and tasted like they put the excess of another smoothing into a cup. I stood there and stared at the 2 girls working there in disbelief that they actually handed me a 2/3 full smoothie. They did not acknowledge me standing there and saying excuse me to them. I was so aggravated at this point I just left. I'm used to the poor service here and kept coming considering I actually like their smoothies sometimes, but goodness gracious this time was horrendous. I am 21 and have worked with plenty of customers to know that even if they put the minimal effort in, it would be better than what I just experienced 15 minutes ago. I love this place! I typically have a hard time finding good juice/smoothie joints outside metro areas and since I work in Cranberry Township, this place couldn't be more ideal! They have a ton of healthy options and it's my favorite spot either before work or after working out! My favorite smoothie is the Kale Ka-Pow smoothie and I add whey protein to it. It's filled with healthy foods and I love that there is kale in it, but of course, you can't taste that. It's super refreshing and energizing, I love starting my day with one! I have tried the acai bowls on a couple occasions and they're good, but not great. As a few people have mentioned, it's really sweet and if you're like me and grabbing one for breakfast, it might taste a bit too much like desert for your liking! I would recommend this place if you're looking for fresh juice or smoothies in the area. I would reccommend giving yourself a little bit of time to be in the shop, though. Depending on the time, it may be a little busy with 4-5 people in line and they typically only have 1-2 people working. The hubby and I stopped in today for a couple smoothies. There were probably 5 or 6 people ahead of us. There are a few places to sit and enjoy your smoothie inside as well as outside. The girl working at the counter was very friendly. I got the Pulp-Coolada, it had pineapple, banana, and coconut. It was very good but seemed like it may have had a little toooo much ice and it watered it down a bit. He had the Three Berry and while it was good, it didn't seem any better than any other smoothies we've ever had. I ordered the green kale smoothie that had kale, strawberry juice, banana, strawberries, mango, peach, green mix and almond milk. My daughter got a strawberry banana smoothie with strawberries, bananas, and frozen yogurt. We got mediums which looked like larges we could have went for the kids sizes and they would have been just fine. Better than expected! I've drove past here and thought the name was kind of silly, but Groupon was having a deal so I decided to check it out. I had an orange, mango, pineapple and banana smoothie. I think the key to making these smoothies good is the inclusion of sherbert which adds a nice texture. The medium is also huge! A small might be enough next time. The smoothie itself had a nice texture and very tasty. Also got a spicy turkey wrap to use the full Groupon value. It was a little small, but had good flavor. Probably wouldn't get it again, but it is a smoothie place so I wasn't really expecting a full kitchen there. Overall it was a nice surprise! Pretty solid place. It's small so it has the vibe more proper for picking up a smoothie and drinking it somewhere else. Staff was great at offering suggestions, like asking what our favorite fruits were to help us decide. I selected the Elite 8 and it wasn't bad. I didn't feel sluggish after drinking it. There was one metal picnic table down a few storefronts so we sat and drank our smoothies there. Pulp is the place to go for a HUGE variety of smoothies! They do allow enhancers such as whey protein, immunity boost, stress reliever, fat burner etc as a free extra in your smoothie! Each smoothie I've tried was fabulous and priced comparatively to other similar places in the area! They do have some lunch items like wraps and salads - minimal choices. Lunch is definitely not what they are known for that's for sure, but otherwise a cute little business that provides a good post work out snack!
