Handmade dumplings
Liz N.

The Kung Pao dumplings were juicy but leaned more sweet than spicy; I personally would've preferred less mayo. The Thai chili dumplings were just perfect- tangy, savory, and full of flavor. The Thai peanut noodle soup had the perfect balance of sweetness, with soft veggies. We added tofu and chicken and opted for rice noodles to keep it gluten-free, which worked great. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The noise level was moderate, the staff was friendly, and Ian was especially sweet.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We drove up from San Diego so we made a reservation, though it didn't seem required. Definitely worth a stop if you're in Santa Cruz.

Kung Pao Chicken

I came here directly from the bay to visit Santa Cruz today. I arrived around 1 PM. The parking lot is empty very easy to find. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When you go inside, lots of seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff/server is super friendly and welcoming. I wanted to try their most reviewed kung pao chicken potstickers. And oh my God, it is one of its unique dish. A lot of people are reviewing about their potstickers and are raving how good it is. Truly, it is very, very good. It's nothing that you would eat or find in the bay area. I think this should be one of the signature or chief recommended. Because it definitely feels like it's their own made dish. I was worried that it was going to be spicy because it's kung pao sauce, but surprisingly it was not spicy. It's a hint of spice and it has a kick to it. But it's not spicy if that makes sense. I also liked that they have a veggie option, pork option, chicken option to select this type of potstickers. highly recommend this place, especially their kung pao pot stickers. I definitely will come back again and maybe bring a friend with me as well. I was gonna go back for dinner to order more. But I was still full from the Boba drink that I had that evening. i'll definitely come back.

Shrimp Dumpling Soup with Bok Choi

Chloe's kitchen was pretty close to our Santa Cruz hotel so we opted to give it a try. So glad we did. My shrimp dumpling soup was so tasty and the dumplings were huge with mounds of fresh shrimp inside. My wife had the large bowl of hot and sour soup which she said was her favorite ever. The staff was super friendly and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the interior was spacious and well lit which was great for our old eyes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If I ever get back in the area I may just give Chloe's another try.

Pan-Fried Dumplings pork

When we first entered the restaurant we were a little hesitant because it was a little hot and it didn't seem like there was air conditioning. We asked to sit under a fan and that helped significantly. Overall, food was very enjoyable and is somewhere I would go again. Our waiters were awesome and meet every need we asked for. We first started with the spicy Korean fried wings. They came with 6 hearty wings. They were the perfect level of spice but I felt just a tad too sweet. My partner thought the opposite perfect amount of sweet and a tad too much spice. Then we had the pan fried pork dumplings. This was my favorite thing I ate there. I would come back just for the dumplings. They were hearty and juicy. Then my partner had the kimchi combination udon noodles. He said they were something he would eat again. The shrimp were bigger than he thought. (Most places use tiny shrimps). I ordered the coconut curry noodle soup with chicken. It was pretty good. I personally enjoy a thicker broth when it comes to curry soup, although it still had a nice coconut curry experience. We ended our meal with the 6 Nutella banana dumplings. They were good. They reminded of a fried banana with a chocolate drizzle.

Chicken Pho

I'm leaving this review about a month after our visit because I still randomly think about the amazing Coconut Curry Dumpling soup that it had. The broth was delightful with some nice veggies and a hint of spicy kick (I added tofu). I wish I could describe it better but all I remember is that It was utterly divine. I'm not a huge coconut fan or a curry fan (or a soup fan for that matter) so I have no idea why I ordered this soup but I'm so glad I did. I will be back to get it again. The pan fried dumplings were good but they didn't bring enough sauce. A party of 3 doesn't want to dip into a single small to go sauce container. My daughter ordered the Chicken Pho, which she said was good. My son said the Spicy Garlic Shrimp was fine but he didn't love it. We ordered some drinks but we couldn't really tell what we were ordering because the drinks are located in a case up front. It was fine but just check the drinks before you sit I guess. The service was okay but they made us order online (no big deal) but then kept forgetting things. They also brought the dumplings out after we started eating our meals (not as the appetizer it was) so no one was really that into them at that point. In all honesty this place probably deserves like a 4 for some of these glitches but I had to give it a 5 because of the amazing soup, which I think about constantly.

I wish this place was closer to Los Angeles. These were some of the best dumplings and soups I have ever had. I cannot recommend the Thai Peanut Noodle soup enough. It was so good. The dumplings were also excellent. Our waiter was really sweet and helpful with menu recommendations. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's nothing stand out about the decoration. Everything is practical.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

pan friend chicken dumplings

They have some parking, so you don't have to park on the street unless it is really busy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Restaurant was clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Seating was comfortable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was very good, efficient and friendly. You are allowed to choose your choice of meat for all of the dumplings, and I chose chicken. Pickled veggies - the cucumber was my favorite, quite good. Dumplings in hot chili oil - it tasted like a very hot (spicy) soy sauce, rather than traditional chili oil. Hot & sour dumpling soup was excellent - very large portion, steaming hot, dumplings are huge with a very delicate, tender wrapper. The taste of the soup was so delicious! Kung Pao dumplings had sauce that was like a creamy aoli. Despite being garnished with peanuts and scallions. I didn't particularly like it and would not order it again. Pan friend dumplings were done perfectly, garnished with cabbage underneath (i think it was cabbage and not lettuce).

It was my first time here and it was ok. I did not enjoy it that much. I did like the garlic noodles though. The customer service was not bad. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Clean tables and floor, that was a plus.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

While heading for Wilder Ranch, we spotted Chloes Kitchen and decided e will eat there after the hike. Oh it was good decision!! Their food is amazing. So fresh tasting. Loved the scallion cake, garlic noodles, and the dumplings! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Plus, the place is nice! Well spaced and clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service is very friendly too. Enjoyed talking with owners (?) I think. Very good folks. Can't wait to drive to SC again!

Spicy Garlic Chicken

I loved mo's dumplings and was disappointed that the lunch specials had changed. However, my meal was delicious. Service was quick and efficient. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Restaurant was fairly empty when I visited on a Friday afternoon.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Location is near many grocery stores and close to the beach. Great stop for a convenient lunch off mission street

The sweetest older couple took care of my boyfriend and I and made some of the most delicious food! I got the kimchi soup, and my boyfriend got the kimchi fried rice with chicken and korean fried chicken. The kimchi soup was one of the best i've had but was a little spicy so keep that in mind, i personally didn't mind! It had so many delicious add ins like pork, rice cakes, and glass noodle!! Kimchi fried rice as was rated 9/10 by my boyfriend! He wishes it had a little more chicken, but other than that it was delicious. The kfc was one of the best we've ever had! So crispy and the sauce was sweet with a little bit of heat! The sauce was seriously delish, like we were blown away! If you're in the area, pay them a visit and enjoy their warm attitudes and clean restaurant!

I was happily surprised to see a katsu menu (even a plate of mixed katsu), ramen (even Cheesy Ramen), and sushi rolls. I came with friends because we were craving classic Korean BBQ dishes, like spicy hot tofu soup and Dol Sot Chicken Bibimbap (clay pot with sizzling rice at the bottom - yum!) and soju (Korean wine), but we ended up also getting Japanese dishes, like unagi donburi (fresh water eel). Plus, as a classic Korean BBQ place, Sesame served the little dishes of Korean goodies, like kimchi, and they were so refreshingly tasty and obviously homemade! You know it's a good place when you are thinking about what dishes you want to order the next time you come, whom you want to invite, and where the takeout menu is! Service was okay: we were seated quickly and food arrived at a good pace. We had to ask for a few things, like remind them of our drinks, and wasn't checked on, but our server was easy to find and we had no complaints because we were too busy devouring our food and toasting with our pomegranate soju. Other things to note for first time customers: - Parking can be a little tricky because the lot in front of the restaurant is limited to about 5 cars only! Try across the street! Also beware that street parking meters are strictly enforced. - Drinks are delicious. Get them. - The place is spacious, so it's food for large groups. - Ambiance is more of a family restaurant (nothing fancy). The most important takeaways are: the food was delicious and the prices were reasonable!

I have mixed reviews about Sapporo because there are many things I like about it -- namely, the…read morenoodle dishes are tasty! (Skip the green onion pancakes though. They were chewy and undercooked!) There were a lot of customers there and, I believe only 3 workers: front of the restaurant woman who is your hostess, server, "bus boy", and cashier! Then there was the cook and someone in the back. The service was fine overall but Sapporo fell short on cleanliness and food handling safety. My kids and I were STARVING so we had to just look the other way throughout our dinner. You can tell they were working hard so we didn't want to make a fuss but omg... the woman brought our bowls with her THUMB in the bowls! I could see that it went into the soup one time so she moved her thumb (probably bec it was hot) and almost dropped the bowl on the table. Another time she held a piece of paper (I think it was the order) in her hand while also handling our food, so the paper went into 2 out of 4 of our bowls. She had to shake the piece of paper next to me to get the food to fall off. It was so shocking that it was almost funny. Almost. Sapporo is what I'd call a "hole in the wall" establishment like ones I had been to in big cities, and with those places, I think there is a bit of uncleanliness that you just have to expect as long as the food is good. Based on how packed Sapporo is, I think that's what others feel as well.

The noodles did get soggy over time. My friend's karaage was pretty good. The only thing we'd complain about is that the egg wasn't half raw as most ramen shops does it. It is very cooked which made it super dry. It seems alot of the yelp reviews were about the egg. I hope with many feedbacks about the egg, the chef could improve it make it half raw like most places.
