This place was awesome! Made the mistake of starting with the Nutella dumplings, delicious but should've save that for dessert. I had I had some sort of toasted sesame/peanut sauce soup, I forgot what the family got but we all tried everything and it was all great. The Kung Pao dumplings were juicy but leaned more sweet than spicy; I personally would've preferred less mayo. The Thai chili dumplings were just perfect- tangy, savory, and full of flavor. The Thai peanut noodle soup had the perfect balance of sweetness, with soft veggies. We added tofu and chicken and opted for rice noodles to keep it gluten-free, which worked great. The noise level was moderate, the staff was friendly, and Ian was especially sweet. We drove up from San Diego so we made a reservation, though it didn't seem required. I came here directly from the bay to visit Santa Cruz today. I arrived around 1 PM. The parking lot is empty very easy to find. When you go inside, lots of seating. The staff/server is super friendly and welcoming. I wanted to try their most reviewed kung pao chicken potstickers. And oh my God, it is one of its unique dish. A lot of people are reviewing about their potstickers and are raving how good it is. Truly, it is very, very good. It's nothing that you would eat or find in the bay area. I think this should be one of the signature or chief recommended. Because it definitely feels like it's their own made dish. I was worried that it was going to be spicy because it's kung pao sauce, but surprisingly it was not spicy. It's a hint of spice and it has a kick to it. But it's not spicy if that makes sense. I also liked that they have a veggie option, pork option, chicken option to select this type of potstickers. highly recommend this place, especially their kung pao pot stickers. I definitely will come back again and maybe bring a friend with me as well. I was gonna go back for dinner to order more. Chloe's kitchen was pretty close to our Santa Cruz hotel so we opted to give it a try. So glad we did. My shrimp dumpling soup was so tasty and the dumplings were huge with mounds of fresh shrimp inside. My wife had the large bowl of hot and sour soup which she said was her favorite ever. This is admittedly a few that is, now, from a few months ago, and assumes nothing has changed dramatically since last winter. So before it's *too* late to post my thoughts on a place I went with my dad when I was visiting a few months ago - with my first filter being "walking distance of where I was staying", I found this dumpling place I hadn't tried before, that wasn't there when I grew up in the area, so: now I have. The service was definitely great, start to finish. Admittedly it wasn't that busy when we were there, but everything was as quick as you'd expect, given the food was clearly made fresh to order, also as you'd expect. We were sharing, so I got to try: The walnut shrimp dumplings: excellent. Would definitely go back for more of those, and/or try other dumplings. They're great. Their chow fun, so... basically pad se ew (we eat a lot more Thai food in Long Beach, obviously.) Great noodles, great flavor, *decent* sized portion - I'm always a bigger fan of places that use Chinese broccoli, though. Broccoli was also a little overcooked. Pork belly curry noodle - not bad, but we agreed it wasn't as good as the other two. I'm always just a sucker for pork belly - the pork belly was great, the curry noodle part was just good. I did also appreciate that, while they didn't have a *large* beer menu, they did have a handful of solid craft beer options, and for very reasonable prices. So basically, I'd definitely come back when I'm back in the area if I'm thinking about Chinese food - mostly to try more of their dumplings next time, though. I'm leaving this review about a month after our visit because I still randomly think about the amazing Coconut Curry Dumpling soup that it had. The broth was delightful with some nice veggies and a hint of spicy kick (I added tofu). I wish I could describe it better but all I remember is that It was utterly divine. I'm not a huge coconut fan or a curry fan (or a soup fan for that matter) so I have no idea why I ordered this soup but I'm so glad I did. I will be back to get it again. The pan fried dumplings were good but they didn't bring enough sauce. A party of 3 doesn't want to dip into a single small to go sauce container. My daughter ordered the Chicken Pho, which she said was good. My son said the Spicy Garlic Shrimp was fine but he didn't love it. We ordered some drinks but we couldn't really tell what we were ordering because the drinks are located in a case up front. It was fine but just check the drinks before you sit I guess. The service was okay but they made us order online (no big deal) but then kept forgetting things. They also brought the dumplings out after we started eating our meals (not as the appetizer it was) so no one was really that into them at that point. In all honesty this place probably deserves like a 4 for some of these glitches but I had to give it a 5 because of the amazing soup, which I think about constantly. read more

They have some parking, so you don't have to park on the street unless it is really busy. Restaurant was clean. Seating was comfortable. Service was very good, efficient and friendly. You are allowed to choose your choice of meat for all of the dumplings, and I chose chicken. Pickled veggies - the cucumber was my favorite, quite good. Dumplings in hot chili oil - it tasted like a very hot (spicy) soy sauce, rather than traditional chili oil. Hot & sour dumpling soup was excellent - very large portion, steaming hot, dumplings are huge with a very delicate, tender wrapper. The taste of the soup was so delicious! Kung Pao dumplings had sauce that was like a creamy aoli. Despite being garnished with peanuts and scallions. I didn't particularly like it and would not order it again. Though we arrived at 1:15p, it was still pretty busy. We were seated promptly, and our server made helpful suggestions when we said it was our first time in. They have lots of dumplings and many other options on the menu, including multiple gluten-free choices. My family members ordered and enjoyed a variety of dumplings that they shared. I selected the vegetable egg drop soup and sesame balls. The soup was in a large bowl of veggie broth, with a flavorful blend of tofu, egg, and veggies. The sesame balls made a great dessert with the slightly sweet red bean paste filling. There were at least 8 in the order so I gladly shared with the table. We all agreed that we would visit Chloe's Kitchen again. read more

When we first entered the restaurant we were a little hesitant because it was a little hot and it didn't seem like there was air conditioning. We asked to sit under a fan and that helped significantly. Overall, food was very enjoyable and is somewhere I would go again. Our waiters were awesome and meet every need we asked for. We first started with the spicy Korean fried wings. They came with 6 hearty wings. They were the perfect level of spice but I felt just a tad too sweet. My partner thought the opposite perfect amount of sweet and a tad too much spice. Then we had the pan fried pork dumplings. This was my favorite thing I ate there. I would come back just for the dumplings. They were hearty and juicy. Then my partner had the kimchi combination udon noodles. He said they were something he would eat again. The shrimp were bigger than he thought. (Most places use tiny shrimps). I ordered the coconut curry noodle soup with chicken. It was pretty good. I personally enjoy a thicker broth when it comes to curry soup, although it still had a nice coconut curry experience. We ended our meal with the 6 Nutella banana dumplings. They were good. A group of six of us had a really great dinner here a week ago. We ordered several dishes and shared everything. Lots of variety on the menu. The dumplings variations were unique and tasty but my favorite was the beef noodle soup that I ordered. Service was excellent and everyone was very nice and friendly. We came here for an early dinner around 5 on a Wednesday so we were the only ones there for a while. The setting was nice and bright and felt comfortable. We ordered the pork dumplings, cucumber salad, and chicken chow fun . They make each item fresh when you order but we didn't need to wait long. The cucumber salad was super yummy. Upon request, they put the chili oil on the side so we could determine our own level of spiciness. The dumplings were also very good. The taste of the chow fun was good but a lot of the rice noodles were clumped together so some of the time I couldn't tell if it was chicken or noodle until I bit into it. Service was great. I tried their Pork Thai Chili Dumplings, beef spicy dumpling soup, and garlic fried noodles. Their handmade dumplings tasted very good and were juicy inside when I bit into them. They were not the tiny ones, either. Most of the time, dumplings of this size could easily be dry, so this showed how much care they put into making and cooking them. The dumpling soup itself was very rich in flavor; eating it with the dumplings was a mouthful, but in a good, tasty way. Since these dishes I ordered can be customized with different choices of meat or just veggies, there could be many taste profiles. The garlic noodles complimented the dumplings' taste. What a find! Tired & hungry after a 10 hour drive to Santa Cruz we stumbled into this gem. The dumplings were incredible, we had mapo tofu ones as appetizer. Solid 4 stars. I'm not a dumpling fan myself, so didn't try them myself, but my daughter LOVED the pork soup dumplings - so much that we had to order another. My husband also said the shrimp dumplings that were in his sweet and sour soup were super good. I got the coconut curry soup with chicken - which I was quite pleased with. Good level of spice - on the mild side, but still present. Chicken inside was tender. Would have preferred that it has ride noodles instead of wheat noodles though. My kids got chicken pho - it was on the blander side (as I've often found chicken pho to be) and the chicken in it was a bit dry. I want to dry the beef pho as I feel like that gives a better picture of their pho. It was pretty busy on a Sunday at 6, but they moved things along faster than I had anticipated. The spot for comfort food. Lot of options on the menu including Pho and dinner entree items. Location has ample parking, and can get busy during dinner time. The Pho was decent and hearty portion size. The Special Sauce Spare Ribs was savory and would go great with some rice, but the sauce was a bit too thick and harden into a glump about ten minutes later. The dumplings was good but they were all the same shape/size/appearance which lead me to believe it's not hand made. Salt and pepper chicken is a must try, and the onion pancake is a good starter dish. The sesame cucumber was good if you're a sesame lover. read more

Ordered take away Beef Pho and ginger scallion dumplings. The beef was cold, grey, dry and rancid. The pho came with old brown bean sprouts and a small shoot of Thai basil. Threw away beef and ate both with the tiny amount of basil and noodles no flavor. The dumplings were bathed in oil and overcooked mushy. This was the worst meal I may have had in Santa Cruz ever.
