It's a small shop, but there is a TON to look at. Lots of small stuff, some furniture, clothing, dinnerware, lots of toys (super fun!), and just about anything you can think of. We came back a second time a few weeks ago and there was lots more since the last time. We found some great records, an amazing Ralph Macchio poster, some vintage notecards, a Nancy Drew book, and some beautiful vintage valentines-- I loved those the best. I'm excited to come back again next time, hopefully there are new things to find!

I called the day before as the only web listing to this business was through Facebook. The answering machine gave me a fast idea of hours. I finaly came across a web site though Facebook. Well the answering machine and website had different hours. I ended up messaging them through Facebook to clairify the hours. Following morning I got there some twenty minutes after they were suppose to open. CLOSED. No note on the door about running late just CLOSED. I messaged them again... here some 6hours later no reply back. Not impressed. The only reason I can see for not opening when listed, is they must have really high prices to afford not to open one advertised. Parking is not the easiest. It is at a busy intersection with on street parking. I highly recommend making the drive to some big name store where you know they will be open and not hold hours of convenience.

After going down in person to the store we were finally forced to get the Peterborough Police Department involved today. It was only under the threat of us pressing charges for felony theft that the owner finally produced my rings. They were at an offsite jewellers 45 minutes away, she had to send an employee to go get them, and the order hadn't even been started... despite being in their possession for weeks. Jacqueline can have her friends post fake glowing reviews all she wants, but they won't drown out authentic customer experiences. The only reason they continue to remain in business after "61 years" is because they have no google listing or reviews, no public facebook reviews, no registration with the Better Business Bureau, and therefore no louder way for us members of the public to warn each other about their disgusting business practices. I have a large collection of Swatch watches and when I called the company they very graciously told me the ones I wanted worked on were "vintage" so they didn't have the exact bands but sent me complimentary bands. They also said they would replace the batteries and bands for free. I didn't want to drive to Boston to the store so stopped in a Hobbs. Rude, snarky and wildly expensive. Good luck keeping locals customers coming back with that attitude Ladies! Mr. Hobbs was such a gentleman, I'm sure he is rolling in his grave at the way his store is treating people.
