Got the Dubai chocolate strawberries and I was super unimpressed. Came in a small cup. Few big strawberries with the tiniest amount of chocolate. I paid $20, I felt robbed. I was expecting the chocolate to be warm and a lot of it but instead I got the most driest out of season strawberries. And the dry flakes they put on it taste like mini wheats w/o the frosted/sweetness to it. Overall, tasted so dry. The chocolate was already hard by the time I ate it. This was a great dessert to share with friends. The waffle was soft and the fruits fresh. There was also a lot of Nutella! The service was fast and was the shop was clean. Edit: a fight erupted between the boss and cashier. The boss was yelling, "The door is right there. You can leave!!" Very dramatically too. The cashier started saying she was recording to keep the boss accountable. The environment they created became uncomfortable. It was deeply unprofessional. In my opinion, they should have talked individually, even though you are mad to something. I would've settled matters on their own time, not in front of the customers. read more

I got an Oreo shake and my cousin got a mini pancake with European chocolate. On 12/25/2021 So to start, the vibes. The interior is pretty standard, nothing special. However, none of the employees were wearing masks, which made me feel somewhat unsafe. They don't have mandatory mask signs either so many customers were not wearing masks. The state of California requires masks in indoor spaces so they aren't following mask mandates and it does make me feel unsafe as a customer. Now the oreo shake: it's pretty good. I like it quite a bit. You can very clearly taste the oreos which I think is a big plus. Finally, the mini pancakes: the taste and texture was good. European chocolate really just means any chocolate candy they have. We got dark choco kitkats (FYI, NOT european) and no sauce drizzling. Not the most beautiful presentation but it tasted good so that is what matters to me. Overall, 3 stars for not following CA masking mandates and the subtle cultural appropriation of asian brands being labeled as european. Just say chocolate candy. read more

Happened to stumble onto the grand opening of this Chocolate Bash. I've gone to the one in Tustin, and found the desserts there to be fairly decent. As they were in the throes of opening, I went in to order my usual favorite - Lava Cake. They were adequately staffed and were more than ready to take orders. The Lava Cake was exactly like the one I had at the Tustin location - more fluffy and "cakey" rather than dense and gooey with a spoonful of fudge in the center. Not a true lava cake, but it hits the spot if you're desperate. At some point in the Grand Opening they were handing out complementary chocolate covered strawberries to everyone who entered the store but.... me? A little confusing especially since a majority of people left the store without buying anything, but I was one of few that purchased and watched as employees and management literally offered everyone a strawberry except for me. I did get one upon request and it was delicious. I hope to see them get their bearings and organization down so I can try some of their other menu options. read more

So much chocolate! Came here with a group of five family members for a weekend lunch after my sister mentioned this new spot. Overwhelmed by the menu, we were going to order the sampler platter to make our decision easier, but since it was just us in the shop we ended up asking lots of questions based on the desserts we saw in the display case. Saw this place on Instagram since it kept popping up everywhere. Wanted to try it and was on a mission to find it because it was new to the Spectrum. First, the place was so confusing to find. Google maps point it to a parking garage. Then, when we gave up on finding the place we found it, the name sign did not have a light and it was dark. Impossible to see, we simply saw it out of nowhere. Went in and I was shocked at all the options. Ali was our cashier and he was very helpful, nice and patient. He didn't rush us instead he helped us. We decided to mini pancakes, 1 waffle and 1 sushi roll. I think it didn't disappoint. What we ordered came just like the pics shown at the place. Prices are a little bit on the high side. The staff is very nice and chill. Clean place, well organized. Everything is made fresh to order. Non of the pancakes and waffles are simply sitting there waiting to be made in to a delicious dessert. Wonderful experience. The manager that was working gave my gf and I a first time discount and even gave us Belgium chocolate covered strawberries. We got a crepe with the seasonal pistachio flavor and he told us how he sources the pistachios from a certain farm in Italy. I have to say, it is worth it! My gf is the crepe person but this crepe converted me. It was delicious, one of the best things I've ever eaten. The people that work there are so nice too!
