I'm only giving this store 2 stars for the friendly staff. Other than that, I had a bad experience here. I'm about 5,6, 180 pounds, with DD's. I was unable to find a single article of clothing here that could fit me. I saw 2 things on all of the racks of clothing that weren't size "zero". The "one size fits all" was a joke. I couldn't fit any of the bottoms past my thighs. I would consider myself "midsize", and I just wish I could've purchased SOMETHING here. Absolutely not size inclusive at all. read more

I would give zero stars, but that isn't an option. Last year, I had a gift certificate that was expired by a few days. I feel that I need to mention that it was a GC purchased for me by a friend...not any promotional anything. My friend paid for it and the sales rep at CW refused to honor it (understandable I suppose). She said that I needed owner approval. I tried contacting the owner via email which was never responded to, Facebook which my comments were repeatedly deleted, and by phone which my many messages were never responded to. I just wanted the owner to give me an answer either way. I think that I should have been given the courtesy of a response. The prices are reasonable, and they have an INCREDIBLE selection for such a small store. They have a great selection of toys, lubes, outfits, shoes, costumes...they have it all! I recently went in with my sister to find a Valentine's Day outfit, and found exactly what I wanted at a great price (the proof was in the look on my boyfriend's face ;]). Unfortunately this store does not stand by its product. I purchased an item just two months ago that appeared to be defective. I purchased a similar item two years ago and it worked well for almost two years. When I went in to get the same item, they were out of them ,so the sales lady said she thinks the one they had in stock was better anyway. I trusted her opinion (after all she does work there). Well, turns out the product lasted two months. When I went in to tell them I had a defective product, the girl said "we don't have anything to do with it, you cannot return or exchange anything" Keep in mind, it wasn't like I was trying to return dirty underwear for gods sake. It was a product that they should be very well aware of or at least asked which item it was. I would think they would return it to the company, whom I'm sure would want to know they are having problems with their products (wouldn't you)? The lady was rude and insulting. Classy, sassy erotic store in midtown. In addition to toys and lingerie they have costumes, masks, bachelorette trinkets, etc. I must say, Chocolate Walrus has the best selection of corsets in town- in all the colors of the rainbow and in lots of different sizes. Chocolate Walrus does a great job of walking that line between sexy and sleazy. (But don't get me wrong, there is definitely a market for sleaze!) The quality of clothing here is a little mixed, and I think some items are marked up a bit, though not exaggeratedly so. I think what I like best about Chocolate Walrus is that it's geared more towards women empowering their own sexuality, as opposed to coming out of a place of submissiveness (like most adult shops.) Went in there last night after going to 6 stores not being able to find anything. These wonderful ladies spent 2 hours picking out lingerie for me ,,,,handed and looked at over 30 + outfits on me! I ended up getting 3 complete outfits for very inexpensive when you think how pricey corsets and lingerie AR typically. They know there stuff and I love how they had various size girls working there to help being curvy that was a big help. I was amazed at the perfect customer service. I come here for the corsets and not much else. They have probably the best selection of corsets in shop that I have ever seen, and since I have left Reno, I haven't been able to find a comparable place. The staff is usually incredibly friendly and don't have a problem helping me in and out of various corsets in a row. The quality of the corsets themselves vary and obviously, fluctuate by price. They are incredibly pricy, but that is what you get for being able to see and feel the corset before you buy it. My only complaint is the size distribution of the corsets that have recently been coming in. They have all been the same size, so finding an amazing design is crushed by having six copies of the same sized corset. In addition, they don't seem to receive new stock terribly often so if you visit frequently, there isn't a large amount of variation. read more

Chocolate Walrus is a very clean, well-lit adult store. They sell mostly clothes, but they have some toys & plenty of adult gag gifts & candy. Their customer service is great, but a little overwhelming. I was in the store for probably 10 minutes and was asked at least 7 times if I was finding everything okay. But at least they're trying, unlike other stores around Reno. Only problem I had was that they allow little kids inside. I don't know what their age limit is, (I don't remember seeing any porn, so they might not have one, I'm not sure), but when I go to an "adult" store the last thing I want to see is an infant or toddler running around touching everything. Just my personal opinion, I'm not worried about the kid being traumatized or anything like that. All-in-all it's a pretty good shop, but I will always drop everything I'm thinking about buying and leave every time they allow a child inside. read more
