Full-on destruction mode with bats, crowbars, and safety gear that made us look like red-suited Avengers. Hilarious and worth getting the footage! The vibe is casual and welcoming. Owner/operator was super laid back, and they've got a jukebox so you can smash stuff to your favorite rage anthem or breakup banger. Only reason for 4 stars: it's a lot smaller inside than I expected, with some unused space in the back that could be better utilized--maybe more seating or an arcade corner? Bonus: Tons of drink options, including local beer picks. Way more than I expected from a place where the main event is turning old TVs into e-confetti. read more

Went last Sat night for a birthday party. I was pleasantly surprised to see there was axe throwing and a pool table too. The owners reserved the back area with the pool table for the party and let us decorate as well. They had a huge party booked before us for the axe throwing and they let them run into our time we reserved so they gave us an extra 1/2 hour on the 1 1-2 hours we paid for. You can also rent one of two rooms to smash stuff. It looked like it was $35 a person and if you wanted to add extra things there is a price list like small, medium and large tvs are $20,$25 or $30. There are also computer monitors more dishware and some other items for purchase. They have a full bar and you can buy some bar food like pizza and chicken tenders. Fun experience I did both the smash room and axe throwing for my birthday and also the smash room was great for a team building activity.

This is a great place to take a date, have a night out or honestly try some incredible whiskey/bourbon. This was our first time to go to a smash room and getting to take out a little bit of aggression from the last two years of life. The set up inside is pretty simple. 8 lanes of axe throwing, 2 pool tables and a really simple bar. 6 beers on tap and maybe 60-80 in cans/bottles plus what has to be one of the best selections of bourbons I have ever seen. This is a one of a kind selection for sure. The beer cost is a little high but the snack cost is way cheaper than you'd expect. Easily the best place I can think of to take a date. Pick some music, break some things for 10-30 minutes together and find yourself your own little Zen moment of breaking everything in sight. The axe throwing cost is better than most places in town. It is the only smash room I am aware of but being able to break things and not have to clean up is a major win. I would recommend wearing socks to here if you're going to smash things and comfy clothes since you are going to be in a jumpsuit. Definitely worth a visit if you are looking for a fun night out. This is a heck of a good time place. I don't think we realized just how much we needed a good smash. This locally owned business is definitely a must visit if ever you feel frustrated, happy, mad, silly, sad, or just in need of some good old fashioned fun. It's got a something for everyone. We did the 15 min smash room...and could have stayed smashing for an hour. You get all suited up in safety gear to keep you from injury while you smash things with the implement of your choice. They've got bats, hammers, crowbars, wrenches, and even sledgehammers. I think I preferred the bat to get some really good swings in. The crowbar and wench were great for just demolishing all the bits of glass to teeny tiny shards. You get a room with a table full of goods to smash and a few extras in a box. You can add in larger pieces if you so desire! I definitely desire! The axe throwing alleys will be our next visit with the kids and likely a birthday coming up as well. You'll get instruction on throwing and scoring and all the help you can use to hit your target. I've always heard about places like this but have never been able to experience it. My alter ego came out and want to give smashin and breaking shit a try. How did I never know I needed this type of therapy before? Smashin Good Time is a chill location. On the small side but I think that's better to keep things cozy and intimate. The staff is friendly and helpful and walk you through the entire process. They offer axe throwing, and have some billiards table in the back too. Music playing, and cocktails and small foods available as well. The place is clean, and the atmosphere is vibin. Came here to hangout with my fiance and his friend for a fun Friday night! It was great because it was right down the street from my place! First impression of the place was the good music. I liked all the songs they played, it created a good ambiance. The staff was nice and helped us quickly. We made the reservation online and also completed the waivers beforehand but if you don't, they have tablets to complete the form. They have alcohol and food to purchase. The prices seem normal. We got to have two target boards which was nice. The employee gave us an intro on all the rules before we started. There are chalk boards and chalk for score keeping and 2 axe options. If you ask, you can use the ninjas stars which I personally preferred because I absolutely sucked at throwing the axe. It was so fun though. We paid for the hour for $25 per person and they give each group a little timer. The hour felt like it was a good amount of time. It was pretty busy inside but it wasn't too loud. They also have a wreck room option but I think it's expensive for how long you have the room for. We enjoyed our time and I'll be telling more friends about this place! read more

What a great time! We were greeted by Jay and Ardith and given a tour of the facility. We sat down at the bar and enjoyed a cocktail while we watched the other patrons throwing. Soon it was our turn and we sucked for the first 10 minutes. Ardith came over and showed us the finer points. Then Jay came over to show us even more points. Wow! We booked this as a team bonding event for our ZLINE customer service team and it was so worth it! The customer service was just absolutely incredible from booking to the actual event. They were incredibly friendly and accommodating for such a large group (17). We booked about three weeks in advance and they were so thorough with the instructions - make sure to sign the waiver before going to make it easier on everyone. The owners took video and group photos for us and air dropped everything after we were finished. And also did a fantastic job explaining the ax throwing. The food was just what you needed after exerting all of your energy SMASHING Our group works in a high stress environment and this was just the thing we needed. If you ever need some stress relief therapy, Smashin' Good Time is the place! I definitely recommend the Purge Smash Room Experience and just have at it! Also, I would like to mention the amazing selection of alcoholic beverages, drafts and fine spirits they have to choose from. Love the vibe this place provides and the staff are great. We have been meaning to visit for some time now and finally made it! The place seems small from the outside and makes you wonder how much fun can you really have in such a Tiny space, then, you walk in !! They have a bar and offer some good food selection, then a section for ax throwing, then the rooms where all the smashing happens, some pool tables and the fun just keeps on going on and on. We were warmly greeted, directed to the waiver station, and then "Sky" took it from there. She gave us all the gear we needed to stay safe, keep all out fingers, toes, eyes and ears nice and safe. Some overalls, a hard hat, eye protection, steel toe shoes (or overshoes if you didn't want to wear someone else's shoes) and some gloves and we were ready to pick out our weapons !! A baseball bat, a big wrench and a sledgehammers for good measure!! Sky set up the table with the most precious, delicate and valuable antiques they had available for our enjoyment. And we did enjoy !!! Be Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha (that's my evil laugh) It was a great time and will be returning soon to try out some ax throwing and maybe have a snack or drinks while we watch others enjoy what they have to offer. This is a difficult review. My family and I went here to throw axes. We had a great time!!! The place is nice we had plenty of room we went at a great time and we were all able to sit and watch when it wasn't our turn. We got a lesson on different ways to throw the ax and different games we could play. My trouble was with the owner and this issue happened twice. The first time was when we had a Yelp event where we were supposed to participate in the smashing room and ax throwing. We did the smash room then we were to throw axes, the owner said she couldn't afford as a small business to have a night of only free events. Which in my mind I wondered then why say yes to Yelp? So hubby and I got 2 coupons for another night to throw axes. We wanted to use them when we went with our family, once again the owner stated she couldn't as a small business afford to have us use the free coupons together, she wanted us to use only one. We worked around it because we had family with us so we had more transactions so we were able to use both coupons. It tainted the event, which is unfortunate because it is a cute, close, local place. read more

We were in town for a softball tournament and the girls wanted to do a rage room. With some planning they were able to accommodate our group of 11. You sign a waiver, get safety gear, goggles, hard hat, & a safety talk. Then you get put in a room to break stuff! There are cc tvs posted outside the room so you can see what's going on. You can also buy additional items to break like computer monitors, flat screen tvs, etc for a nominal fee, or bring in your own stuff for free. I've come here a few times with my friends and family and every time is a fun, special experience. The owners, Jay and his wife, are really awesome and friendly people who have put their whole heart into this business and it shows! Love when unique businesses pop up in sparks so us Sparkies don't have to drive to downtown to have a blast. They opened this place right before (don't quote me on this but I'm pretty sure) the pandemic and have been putting on events and creating axe throwing teams to help business. There is a full bar and it is filled with AMAZING craft beer and really great booze! Jay is a mix master and always down for a great conversation. One of my friends wanted to do the smash room for her birthday and so we stopped in and even spent a little extra to smash a tv! Btw, if you have a tv to get rid of, this is DEFINITELY the place to bring it to! It was soooo much fun! A great way to release any inside frustrations you may have or to just get your heart pumping! I had a great time visiting here and would recommend it as a great way to blow off some stream or as a team builder activity. I brought my brother and my nephew that night. The only unfortunate thing is that we didn't know that you had to be at least 10 years old to participate in the smashin experience. My nephew was unfortunately only 9, so he had to sit out this time with the promise of trying to visit next year. The actual smashing experience was a lot of fun, and I enjoyed using the money wrench the most, but I would have liked a little more items to smash. Of course, you can get a lot more items...just got to pay for it. The staff was very friendly and they do have a full bar and ax throwing area. I am glad they have something in Sparks like this, so us Sparks dwellers don't have to drive all the way downtown. And look forward to trying the ax throwing next time. This place is so appropriately named because that's exactly what we had! We went there for a team building (and to blow off a little work steam) and left all smiles. The staff were so helpful and cool. They set up the smash room with all kinds of great things to smash, made sure all safety measures were taken, took video and pictures of us while we went at it, even asked us what kind of music we wanted! I'd never been to a smash room before so this was such a fun new thing to do. We will definitely be back. This was awesome! We did the All out Chaos package and had a box filled with glass per person to smash. You get to pick a "weapon of your choice" going into the room from a pile of tools, bats, pipes, etc. For whatever met your smashing needs... I personally recommend the bat. You get 15 minutes to obliterate all the objects in your room and can add electronics that they have on display for an extra fee if you'd like. Other than the smash rooms, they had a full bar, some food options, 4 lanes for axe throwing and 2 pool tables. Definitely a place you could pass some time and be fully entertained. read more

A great place with a variety of options from Axe Throwing, Pool, Darts, Smashing stuff or just having a drink, snack with friends or family. Smashin Good Times in located in the Smith's strip mall on Baring across from Reed High School on the west side. Upon entering you are immediately immersed into the everything it offers. They are associated with the World Axe Throwing League and the night we visited a couple of teams where competing. We registered online for the Smashing Experience, who doesn't want to vent the days stress breaking things that don't get you in trouble. It was a fun experience, the staff ensures you have completed the waiver, either online or upon your arrival. You are able to secure your valuable's before dawning the jumpsuit, shoes, gloves, safety glasses and helmet. I recommend wearing clothes, you can put the jumpsuit over, otherwise, you look like you are wearing a tent to get one on, yes lesson learned. You enter the smash room with a staff member, who provides direction on how to remain safe but still have a great time. Our experience had 1 large item, 2 medium and 15-ish smaller ones. Our experience lasted about 15 minutes, which was adequate and the relief was worth it. Not sure how frequently I would do that part, it is approximately $55.00 a person. I do enjoy Axe Throwing but noted they have two sizes of axes, a medium and longer handle one, I didn't see the smaller throwing axes I have seen at other places. Hopefully, they will consider getting those, they are great for smaller, newer participates that struggle and get frustrated with the others. read more

They had a bar table with chairs where we were able to sit and wait for our turns. This place also has a smash room and pool tables! Due to COVID, the owners are bartending and running the place themselves. But I love that since we were able to meet them and they are both so friendly and so sweet! This is a great date night place or for a night out with friends! We had a group of 4 and had 2 axe throwing areas. Jay showed us the different axes and how to throw them. We were able to buy socks (for cheap!) and borrow steel toed shoes, as we weren't in the proper footwear. Definitely wear closed toe shoes! There is a full bar with yummy specialty cocktails...we really liked the pineapple margarita and the one with gin and blackberry. There are also pool tables and a room to smash things with baseball bats (for an additional price.
