This store was on the small side but it offered many different Belgian-style chocolate products, including bars, truffles, pralines, hot chocolate mixes, and just about every other type of chocolate you can imagine. They also have a bakery. There is a sample tray that lets you try their milk chocolate, 50% dark chocolate, and 70% dark chocolate. We liked the taste of their chocolate and ended up buying a bag full. I bought a 70% dark chocolate bar and a milk chocolate bar. The dark chocolate and lavender caramel bar my wife bought was especially delicious. The lavender came from the Blue Lavande lavender farm in Stanstead. This is a great place to stop and buy chocolate before you head to Mt Orford for outdoor activities. We will definitely be back.

North Harley is a charming little town with some unique shops and of course, this delightful Inn, L'Auberge de la Chocolatière, or The Chocolate Makers Inn. The café has a nice array of breakfast, lunch and dinner items, as well as desserts. We were promptly seated. Staff is perfectly bilingual (which is pretty common for this area). I ordered the Grilled Cheese Panini with comes with side salad or soup of the day. I chose the latter, a celery and mushroom (non dairy) veloûté. My mom ordered the sane whereas my dad got the pepper and eggs Panini with chèvre and the soup. We each ordered the thé froid, iced tea, a slightly sweetened iced herbal tea. The Panini was delicious. It was a perfect combination of sweet and savory. The soup was creamy, properly seasoned and piping hot. As there was a chill in the air, it hit the spot. The service was excellent. We opted to forgo dessert, but we did get an array of 12 artisanal chocolates to go. We had mom choose the flavors from over almost 40 offerings in dark, milk and white chocolate. Each chocolate has a fine-thick sliver of topping or sprinkling of herbs or spices, such as dried cranberries, apricot, elderflower, cassis, cayenne pepper, sea salt, lavender, coconut, cardamom. In essence, a chocolate lovers paradise. In the car, we sampled the pralined and the apricot. The chocolate is extremely high quality and not too sweet. There's a lot of love out into those concoctions. The store also sells maple syrup candies and syrup, small and large bars of the chocolates, etc. It was a lovely first meal in the region. I would cone back here to enjoy the area's outdoor offerings and perhaps stay here.

Most every person I encountered in Quebec seemed completely unable to communicate in English. The darling proprietor of this shop was willing and quite able to help this US visitor. She helped me with selections from her own delicious creations and advising what items would ship the best. It was a bit complicated to compute the Canada mail fees and then add the US mail fees and the customs costs, but she stuck with it until completion. And my daughter really enjoyed the treats when they arrived. Beautiful little local shop, where the owner was the efficient as the chocolatier, as well as being the m m to her two very young children who were there in the shop with her. If you are touring around rural Quebec Province and are in Compton, please stop to enjoy a really lovely shop.

Happened to see the signs for this place on the way to our next destination after we couldn't find…read morethe winery we were initially headed to and i'm so glad we stopped! The woman who was running the shop was very kind and told us all about each of the products. Everything is made from blackcurrants; they have syrups, gelato, preserves, and wines. We ended up buying one of each of the wines and a bottle of the syrup, all of which are very reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend to anyone passing through the area.

We made a reservation the day of for 8:30 and were seated quickly. Every table was occupied. The parking lot was full so we parked for free on a nearby residential street and walked a couple blocks. The inside is classy and elegant without being overly formal. Every dish was plated beautifully and I took lots of photos. I had the vegetarian option of pasta and vegetables, and it was beyond any pasta and vegetables I have eaten before! The flavors were perfectly balanced with garlic and lemon and very light cream, and the pasta was fresh and had a pleasantly firm texture. There was a good ratio of vegetables to pasta. Everyone in our group completely loved their meals. The person who ordered the moules-frites said they were spot-on and excellent. Other favorites from our variety of dishes were the fish soup and the creme brûlée. We were here eating and talking for over 2 hours and never felt rushed even though we were amongst the last diners to leave.
