Ok, So I went to see this dentist in Dec 2020. I was having pain in my tooth that was causing headaches. I went to this dentist who first took X-rays and a cleaning. It was by far the worst cleaning I have ever had. It was so rushed. With the x-rays, cleaning and what else she did, I was in and out of there in like an hour. It was the least thorough cleaning I've ever had. Then she said I may need a root canal and she could tell where my pain was from my reaction to her cleaning and exam. The exam was even less thorough than the cleaning! She put a filling on the tooth that was hurting because she needed to submit the authorization for the root canal to my insurance. 2 months go by and I hear nothing from this office. I didn't know my root canal was approved until my insurance company sent me a letter saying it was approved. I never once got a call from the office to inform me. Then I went back, she asked how my tooth was and I told her there was no pain since my last visit, she then told me that I probably didn't need the root canal then and she would put more filling on the tooth to cover the spot that was causing me pain. she first had to clean the area, had she did the cleaning correctly the first time, she wouldn't of had to re-clean the area. When I left, while I wasn't in pain, my tooth was more sensitive again. I was not happy. She didn't even tell me if I needed anything else done based on my exam. I didn't even get the welcome kit that all dentists give you the first time you go (toothbrush, floss, information etc..). On top of that, I logged into my insurance and checked the claim she submitted from Dec. She put she did 3 fillings one in the tooth that I came in about, one in another tooth next to it (which she didn't touch) and one on the bottom(which she also did not go near). So she fraudulently claimed to my insurance that she did things that she did not. When my insurance company called to ask about this, the person on the phone pretended not to understand anything the agent was saying (they speak English in there even though they are Korean). So my insurance company couldn't get her on the phone. After I got off the phone with the insurance company, I called the office and got the machine and stated that I noticed she claimed more and that I contacted the insurance company and they are going to investigate it for fraud. Not even 2 minutes later the dentist called me back. Her explanation was that she added the extra stuff to the claim so I wouldn't have to pay a co-pay (which is BS because my insurance pays 100% preventative. I only would of had to pay 50% of the root canal). She then said if she had to adjust it, that I would need to pay them the co-pay. So she fraudulently claims things on insurance and states its to save her patients money, no, it's to line her pockets. If you are a patient of hers, I advise you to check your claims (most people do not, and I'm sure she knows that). Now my insurance company is investigating and also asked me to go to another dentist and have them confirm that she did not do what she said (it would be easy for them to tell if a filling is new or not). Probably the worst experience and Dentist I have ever gone to in my 45 years of life. For sure the worst cleaning and exam I've gotten in my 45 years of life. I don't understand how she has such high ratings (which is what made me go to her in the first place). I DO NOT recommend this dentist at all. read more
