There were two obviously more critical patients ahead of us but even so, the wait time was very reasonable in both the waiting room and exam room.

There was no cleaning out of the infection, no culture to determine if the antibiotic would even work and no X-ray. After 2 weeks it still looked horrible so we returned and were told he had a hairline fracture in his nose so he was put into a cone for 6 weeks, given another antibiotic (again NO culture) and told to return in 6 weeks. So, we followed the instructions, finished all of the antibiotic and at the end of 6 weeks it still was not healed. At that point I was told by a second Bet here that "Oh that won't ever heal because there's a lot of bacteria in the nose! SO, we found another Dr (Countryside Veterinary Clinic) and he required surgery because Town and Country never cleaned the debris out of the base of the wound. It took a year, 2 surgeries, a 6 week routine of a liquid oral antibiotic, to finally get the problem resolved because of Dr Costello's poor treatment of an infected would. At one point I was told he might not recover. He was 1 1/2 at the time of the injury. DO NOT GO TO TOWN AND COUNTRY. If I could give a 0 I would.

Both the tech and doctor were absolutely amazing with my dog. You could tell they truly loved dogs and their jobs. I was given all the options and not pressured into anything. I chose to do the testing just to be certain. Thankfully, there was nothing major wrong with my dog and we were prescribed some meds to support him while he got better. It seemed to be the best experience you could have when having to take your pet in for an emergency. Hopefully, I don't ever have an another emergency, but I am relieved to know I have a nice place close by to take him if I have to. Dr. Braun was amazing. She was genuine, patient, friendly, and it was obvious being a vet was her true calling! She gave me her thoughts and told me my options but didn't pressure me into anything. I felt confident that I could trust her opinion. The tech we started with was also super friendly and caring! I wish I could remember her name. She attentively listened to me rattle off everything I could think of and was awesome with Finn. I was happy with absolutely everyone we interacted with from start to finish. AVOID STEEL VALLEY GIRARD SPAY AND NEUTER AT ALL COSTS…read more Our dog Bailey was spayed on October 28th, and from the beginning, I noticed the stitches appeared poorly done. After 10 days, the incision became swollen, lumpy, and red. I requested that the stitches be removed. Despite this, 5 days later, the incision became infected. The clinic prescribed an antibiotic, but it was ineffective and did nothing to address the infection. Another week passed, and the situation worsened--the incision opened, with seepage and signs of dehiscence. When we took Bailey to our trusted vet, they declined to intervene because they had not performed the original surgery. The clinic then suggested keeping her for a week to "rehabilitate" her. Absolutely not! There was no way I would allow them to touch her again. Fortunately, Dr. Allen stepped in, prescribing a stronger antibiotic that finally made a difference. After 8 days, the incision healed, and we thought the ordeal was over. Unfortunately, today, the wound reopened. The skin is now necrotic and blackening, and there's an odor coming from the site. Bailey will require surgery again, and we can only hope we can get this under control. If I could give this clinic negative stars, I would. Please save yourself the heartache and avoid this establishment at all costs. This has been a nightmare for both us and our dog.

My experience with Ebert Animal Hospital was extremely disappointing.I scheduled a checkup for my…read moretwo cats a rescued female kitten and my adult male cat to begin the process of having them spayed and neutered. During the visit, my male cat received his first rabies vaccination, and my female kitten was prescribed antibiotics for a respiratory infection. During the examination, the veterinarian discovered that both cats had ear mites. Since my kitten was a recent rescue, she had unknowingly passed them to my adult cat. Instead of treating the ear mites during the visit or providing me with the medication, I was told they would order it online and have it shipped to my home because I wasn't able to pay the estimated $600 bill in full. I explained that I only had $200 with me because I believed I was only coming in for a routine checkup. Based on what I was told, I believed the ear mite medication was included and had already been ordered. After waiting an entire week, I discovered that no medication had ever been ordered. I later found out the medication would have only cost around $50. As a result, I had to treat both of my cats myself without any assistance from the clinic, despite already paying $200 for the visit, a rabies vaccine, and antibiotics. To make matters worse, I later learned they intended to charge approximately $400-$467 to neuter my adult male cat, with my female kitten's spay surgery being an additional charge. These costs were never clearly explained during my visit. I eventually contacted another animal hospital that quoted me just $62 total to spay and neuter both cats. My biggest concern isn't just the pricing it's the lack of compassion I experienced. When I explained that I couldn't afford a $600 payment upfront for what I thought was simply a wellness exam, I felt like my financial situation determined the level of care my pets received. Responsible pet owners expect veterinary care to be expensive, but a routine checkup shouldn't come with an unexpected bill of hundreds of dollars, followed by several hundred more per animal for standard spay and neuter procedures. When I called to cancel both surgery appointments after learning the costs, one of the staff members was surprisingly rude and unprofessional. I clearly stated that I wanted to cancel appointments for both cats. However, only one appointment was canceled, and I continued receiving emails about the other appointment. As a pet owner, I was simply trying to do the responsible thing by ensuring my cats received the care they needed. Instead, I left feeling frustrated, misled, and disappointed by what I perceived to be excessive pricing, poor communication, and a lack of empathy. Unfortunately, this experience has left me with little confidence in recommending Ebert Animal Hospital to others. In addition of what I have experienced, I am only giving them one star

Writing an update to make an addition:…read more I was cleaning out some old medication, checking dates and the like. Most of the time, the meds prescribed by Doctors Park do not have any sort of expiration date on them, which is its own issue. But I came across an old script for ear infections made out to my cat. On the box? It states in bold letters it is for DOGS ONLY. Explains why it never worked. FFS, so glad to be away from these people. Original Review: My family has been using this vet since before I was born. Naturally, I remained a customer with all of my own pets and have been for the past 15 years. The pandemic has completely changed this place. You can never reach them by phone - heaven forbid you have something urgent going on! Getting in for an appointment can be MONTHS out now. Half the new staff they've gotten have no idea what they're doing and are useless to talk to. They can't even take proper notes to pass the vets or techs. My biggest issue is that they hurt my dog. They were the ones that diagnosed him with epilepsy and he is currently considered "uncontrolled" with his meds. They even sent us to a neurologist in Akron to get more help. Despite knowing this full well, when I called in to ask what they recommended for excessive gas due to his new meds, I was given an antibiotic script. Within 24 hrs, his gas smelled like garbage or skunk spray. Within 48 hrs, he was having diarrhea. Within 72 hrs, he had a seizure. I checked the meds out. They have a known side effect of seizures (and multiple stomach issues). THEY GAVE A SEIZURE PATIENT MEDS THAT CAN CAUSE SEIZURES! Multiple vets I spoke to about this after the fact were floored and agreed it never should have been prescribed. This is completely unacceptable to me, and is really the last straw. I already questioned their handling of my late dog, who I watched turn to literal skin and bones before my eyes (which was *after* they made him a diabetic by over-prescribing steroids), and finally had to be put down. But, this? This is negligence, plain and simple. I'm not going to let them kill another of my dogs.

Dr. Nobel gave us a couple medications and to pick up some specialty food from them, try it and call back in two days with an update to see what we should do. I picked everything up, got home and half the food was for cats... the meds made everything worse. We called, as instructed and left message (since no one answered the phone during business hours) that things were worse. Four days later we got a call back, which is annoying enough but upsetting when two days earlier we had to rush our girl to an emergency Animal Hospital to be put down. No card, no condolences. Today I bring our kitten in due to diarrhea... an hour and 25 minutes later for an x ray and blood work that they send out and find out they don't even have the basic cat antibiotic at either of their locations to give her. And all this for the low, low price of $520. Worthless. We could have taken her to a skilled Animal Hospital for less and she would have left with the medicine she needed to get better. The worst part is feeling like they do not care about our animals. I mean, I've received better service at McDonalds. Nicole R.
