They made appointments, and even the appointments are massively delayed. You will wait longer. Perhaps until tomorrow. A sad old woman paws at the closed door to the lab, saying that she forgot her car keys inside during her appointment. Nobody inside hears her and she knocks and scrabbles for ten minutes before the door opens, coincidentally, to finally admit someone. The old woman and the patient enter, tearfully overjoyed. We remained respectful throughout the interactions and continued to reiterate that we know it's complicated and they can't do it all, but would appreciate some guidance as young people new to the area. I am in utter disbelief at his lack of interest in providing--or even just pointing in the direction of someone who CAN provide--potentially life-saving treatment for a patient with serious internal organ problems. I really enjoyed my experience and the staff were so friendly that I already scheduled my next appointment. I have POTS so an iv in the summer is essential and they make it so easy. They open at 8:00 AM…read more I made an 8:00 AM appointment last night, completed all the paperwork, etc. I was here at 8:00 AM when they opened. A second person came in at about 8:10 with an 8:20 AM appointment. A third person walked in with no appointment. No one else is here. None of us have seen yet. It's 8:33 AM. I guess the "urgent" in urgent care is rhetorical. What the actual fuck?! By the time I saw the PA it was 8:52 AM. In her defense and to try to find something positive to say, the PA was very nice. However, if I had an 8:00 AM appointment and showed up at 8:52 AM, I would be required to reschedule. The respect and civility in this situation needs to be a two-way street!
