    Inside the mall

Chop chop salad is located inside the food court at Columbia mall. I didn't know it was in the mall when I googled salad near me when I was in the area. I was confused on how to order - the bar and kiosk is quite large. They have both hot grill items as well as cold salads. The price was about $15 for a salad which was a good deal. They don't really chop your salad and mine was over dressed even though I did ask for it be lightly dressed. It's not bad for what it is but not what I was looking for. Friendly albeit slow staff. If you want a healthier option inside the mall I would go here.

I wanted a healthy lunch choice so i stopped by Chop Chop Salad located in Columbia Mall. I bought the Candied pecan salad which was apples, strawberries, goat cheese, candied pecans, strawberry vinaigrette and greens. I added beats to the salad and my green selection was spring mix. They put everything in a bowl and mix it up for you before putting it in your to go container. The salad was delicious. It's a walk up and order establishment located in the food court. Service was fast and friendly and the prices were decent. Expect Mall food court ambience which is everyone friendly and very casual.

Good salad and nice staff. I had the spring mix with Chicken Tika Masala on top. They gave me a generous portion of chicken and the Masala was spicy. Once they put all of your ingredients in the bowl they chop it up but not too fine. It finished all of my salad and I was satisfied.

Decent sandwich. A little salty but the bread seemed really fresh and had a good ratio of meat. Steak was very tender.

Nice to have a halal choice in the Columbia Mall food court. The salad is very fresh, and they make everything in front of you. The cheesesteak melt was good, but I especially liked the chicken gyro. The ladies making the food were very thorough and didn't rush the order (which is a good thing). I'll definitely be back whenever I'm at the mall.

$10 for two slices of turkey? that's ridiculous! either lower your prices or give more food.

The food is consistently exceptional, the drinks are always on point, and the atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between lively and welcoming. Whenever friends or family visit from out of town, this is my go-to spot because I know they'll leave impressed. Most recently, I visited for brunch on Saturday and ordered the short rib gnocchi. It was absolutely delicious... rich, flavorful, and incredibly filling. I paired it with the bubbles flight, which featured an assortment of four sparkling wines and was the perfect complement to the meal. Every visit reminds me why I keep coming back. Great food, great drinks, and consistently great experiences. Love this place. Five stars for consistency and great food!

The truffle popcorn was excellent, our child enjoyed the shrimp and fries, and the fresh tuna appetizer was flavorful, although overly sauced. Unfortunately, the scallops with risotto were unacceptable. Both entrees had a strong ammonia-like taste from the first bite, which was immediately noticeable to both of us. We were unable to get much attention from our server due to how busy the restaurant was, but the dishes were left mostly untouched for a reason. For a $40 entrée, we expected much better quality and execution. Sadly, The Food Market did not deliver.

The Luau BBQ bowl was delicious- the citrus ginger sauce really surprised me with how flavorful it was without having one thing overpower it. The menu offers a nice balance between curated bowls and build-your-own options, and everything on display looked vibrant and genuinely fresh. Even the subtle aroma of garlic in the air set the tone in the best way. I don't usually go for chicken (I cook enough of it at home), but being from Hawaii, there was no way I was passing up on their limited-time Huli Huli chicken. For those unfamiliar, traditional Huli Huli chicken is typically bone-in, skin-on, soaked in a brine, marinated with a blend of soy sauce, ginger, brown sugar, garlic, and pineapple juice maybe rice vinegar or ketchup, it's all left to the cook. Basted several times as the meat is flipped until fully cooked. Back home, you don't just eat it--you experience it. You smell it long before you see it--grilling on those iconic half oil drum kettles along the roadside, often set up for fundraisers or local gatherings. The sight of chicken quarters being flipped ("huli" means "turn") and basted over open flames is pure island nostalgia. So yes, expectations were high. I was offered a sample, and it delivered. The flavor balance was spot on--savory, slightly sweet, and deeply satisfying. The chicken itself was moist and tender. The only thing missing was that classic crispy, charred skin and the full leg quarter presentation you'd find back home--but even so, it didn't disappoint and left me wanting more. My bowl came together beautifully with coconut sweet potato sauce, fresh spinach, garlicky cilantro green beans, and basmati rice. It was flavorful, well-balanced, and delicious. Service was another highlight--the staff was friendly, patient and helpful with recommendations. The space itself is not large to eat in but it was clean, bright with ocean-toned blues that nod to its island inspiration. I'll definitely be back--especially while that Huli Huli chicken is still on the menu.

Took a good friend of mine here to celebrate her birthday. This evening that had a really nice pre-fix menu called The Vines and Vibes dinner series in which you get 3 courses and wine pairings for $65 pp. Which was a really great deal. We also ordered a plethora of appetizers to share amongst the table. We had the hummus trio , charred octopus, summer heirloom tomatoes, zucchini fritters and the charred octopus. All of the appetizers were very good. The zucchini fritters were so good, we ordered a second order. For dinner pretty much everyone did the cast iron short rib with the puff pasty. That was basically Sunday dinner in a pan. The short rib was nice and tender and the flaky puff pasty to soak up the gravy. Very delicious. For my first course I opted for the ceasar salad, something told me to get that yellow tomato gazpacho. Two of my friends had gotten it and they said it was phenomenal. The birthday girl got the Bouillabaisse with the Chilean sea bass. She said that was absolutely delicious. The Chilean sea bass was cooked nicely and had a buttery taste. And for dessert we did the orange tres leche cake and the chocolate mousse. Both desserts were really good. The tres leche cake was really good and if you mix it with the chocolate mousse even better. This place offers so many options for dinner, from their weekly specials, where you get 50 percent off any bottle of wine on Mondays, bubbles and boards on Wednesdays, Thursdays they have a nice to go special, where you can pizza and a nice bottle of wine to go. Now who doesn't like that for a Thursday night. They also have a great happy hour as well . This place is great for a date night, girls dinner or just a nice night out to have a great dinner and listen to live music. I will definitely be returning either for dinner or brunch. Also I did want to give a tidbit about parking. It can get a lil crowded especially in the evenings and if there is an event going on at Merriweather Post, it's best to utilize their valet parking for an additional $10 fee. It definitely beats the headache if trying to find parking. SYOY

The bartender was super engaging and you can tell he loved his job. He was extremely knowledgeable on all the menus which we found impressive! Everything we ordered was very good. For appetizers we had raw oysters and calamari. For entrees we went with the Halibut and the Beef Short Rib. Again, all tasty! The drinks were also made to perfection. If I lived closer to Columbia, this restaurant would be in my regular rotation. Unfortunately I don't and The Collective Offshore isn't the type of restaurant I'd routinely drive 45 miles for :(. I hope to make it back some day, I just don't know when!!

Tried Offshore Collective again recently, and here was my experience…read more I got a young white dude for a waiter who didn't know much about the menu or what was what with the food he was also sloooooow and I think he only had 3 tables. It took 20 minutes to get 2 beers brought to my tables I ended up having to go get the waiter ask if my beers were ready and when we asked for crackers or bread, he told me that he couldn't bring it unless he charged $$$ me for it. Now that is ridiculous. I've never been charged for bread or even just crackers or something to nibble on while you order and wait for your food, but they have decided here that they're gonna start charging for that. Ridiculous!!!!!! and it started out the evening by pissing me off. So after I actually went to the bar to get my own drink, cause I got tired of waiting the guy..... he finally took our order and I ordered a beet salad thinking it had some kind of dressing with a little ranch on the side. Well, I got a salad with no dressing with a little dipper for ranch dressing and had to order regular dressing in addition. I think this was probably the dumb waiter fault for not making it clear to the kitchen that I wanted the salad with the dressing and a little ranch on the side. So blaming him... Second of all, my Date ordered the cauliflower steak, NOTE: couple of big problems. First of all you couldn't cut it with the butter knife that they gave you so it was pretty close to raw versus cooked and so she was trying to saw through it multiple times. When she did get a bite, it was SO OVER SPICY that It burned her tongue off and she ended up only being able to eat 1/2 of her entrée because it was so spicy so that was a bummer. ( not great if you're on a date, ) and I ordered the spaghetti and clams, there were a total of 4 clams in the whole dish, a bunch of chopped canned clams and only enough spaghetti to feed a 5 year-old also ......... it was very small, not very much flavor and for $27 I expected more. So overall, it was kind of disappointing as you can see and for that reason I don't think I'll be going bad and wouldn't recommend it to anyone else because it doesn't seem like they're on the game for the prices they charge. You guys need to pick it up a big notch ...... make your entrées worth eating or buying and improve your service. Sorry, but that's the truth.
