Fast and friendly service at the bar! (I chose the bar as I was dining alone) Both bartenders provided excellent service and gave great recommendations. I started off with the oysters and then had the steak to follow. They also have a $5 martini night! All around great experience!

Every time I'm in north Florida I try to make a stop at Chop House because it is superb. Definitely start with the fried goat cheese - it's killer! Filet mignon was velvety soft and plenty flavorful. The smashed potatoes were my favorite side. They had slightly melted Brie and tasted great. Their cheesecake special was a "Milky Way" style, which was very rich and good! It's definitely unique in its appearance and taste. Plenty large for 2. As always, their service is excellent with personal touches and overall genuinely caring for the guests. There are only a few tables and a bar so definitely make a rez beforehand. I'll be returning again and again.

We visited Thomasville, GA for a weekend get away and opted for a nice steak dinner on Saturday. We did make reservations- which we weren't able to do online and had to call; where they did ask for a credit card to hold the reservation and should we not be able to make it would be charged. (Just passing along). Our reservation was for 7:30pm and we got seated around 7:50pm. Our server was very friendly and gave us drink and food recommendations. I enjoyed the steak + potatoes and a cold beer and my Husband chose their burger and Old Fashion. We would return!

The entire experience was phenomenal, came here to celebrate new jobs and so glad we made a reservation through open table. We started off the evening ordering an anejo old fashioned and a prickly pear margarita. We absolutely enjoyed the drinks. As appetizers we had the Cesar salad and grits. The Cesar dressing was great, the croutons tasted of sweet cornmea, the bacon was so tasty and different to have an entire egg on top. The combination worked so well. I really enjoyed the grits I wanted to take an order home. Our ribeye steaks were cooked to perfection and all the sides we had were full of flavor. For sure in my top 3 steaks I've had here in the greater Tallahassee area. The sides we ordered the collard greens, smashed potatoes and the hopping john. All excellent. For the price point, wonderful service from Paul, and flavorful food, it was absolutely worth the drive from Tallahassee. For a nice evening out or your next special occasion definitely try here if you haven't.

Been frequenting the Chop for years. Friendly service, great ambiance! Delicious pimento cheese oysters, wonderful scallops. Duck three ways is amazing! If they have their tomato soup on special, try it! Last night I had their lobster special with caviar. They have a wide variety of cocktails also.

We had a great date night here last night! Excellent service and our drinks and food were amazing. I had the pork chop with the potato cake and it was so good! The onion rings are HUGE and dipping them in the steak sauce is perfection.

My server immediately came to the table, brought me an unsweetened tea. I was torn between shrimp n grits or the Parmesan crusted black grouper. My said both were great. I chose the grouper. My entree arrived and it didn't disappoint. A large thick piece of grouper cooked perfectly surrounded by a crispy delicious crust. The Brussels sprouts were crispy and tender with a tasty sweet glaze. The greens were also on point - lots of bacon pieces and a sweet/spicy taste. Lunch came with a large crispy hush puppy. With tip - lunch was $50. A bit pricey - I don't mind paying top dollar for a top quality meal and service. Well done Jonah's!

Not really worth the wait. Decent food. Friendly staff. But nothing super special. For Thomasville, I get it, but I live in Pensacola where there is a place like this on every corner. I had the grouper sandwich (blackened) and the fried green tomatoes for a starter. The FGTs were very good. The sandwich was average except that the ciabatta bun was exceptional. Cheese grits on the side were above average. Brussels sprouts were just like any bistro Brussels sprouts ever (man, I wish this trend would die, but I keep ordering them hoping to be surprised.) The place was PACKED (as usual) but the staff were friendly and attentive. For me, however, this is expected in any restaurant. Therefore: 3 stars for decent - if unimaginative- food and good service. Will not come back unless there is no line ... albeit an unlikely scenario.

I settled in for the fried shrimp, sweet potato fries and coleslaw, while Dawn had the Greek-shrimp salad. We were served quickly and the shrimp was fresh and cooked nicely. I like my fries just a little more crispy than what I received, but they weren't bad. The slaw was good, with just a hint of dill in the mix. Dawn absolutely loved her salad, it was seasoned just right according to her. Everyone was friendly, the waitress made sure we were okay, and the ambience was good. But here, they do bring it to your table. The issue is the credit card screen; you have 4 options: 20%, 25%, 30%, and "no tip". As I didn't have the option to choose less than 20%, I chose no tip. (Did cash tip the server though) Food good. Service good, value and portion not so much.

Upon our arrival, we we pleasantly greeted upon opening the door with an exceptional blast of cold air conditioning, which was so welcoming. As well, we were greeted by the owner Allen and our bartender Annabelle. I have been in a lot of places with nice people, but none have been as nice as these folks. They were so friendly and accommodating with a wealth of local information and exceptional service. The place had such a nostalgic vibe and decor, which was very relaxing. Being a music lover, who loves any type of music, we were pleasantly pleased with the mix of various rock/yacht rock tunes that only enhanced our experience. We ordered beverages, which the bar had a great selection to choose from. From there we ordered a couple of appetizers, which consisted of fried pickled okra and blue cheese chips with Balsamic drizzle. Both appetizers were so good. We could have made a meal out of either one. After munching on these for a few, we decided to split the Tavern club sandwich, which was so good with more than ample portions of shaved ham, turkey and bacon. This was complimented with their house made Coleslaw. I would count this as a perfect 5 out of 5 establishment. If we lived in the area, this would be our hangout for sure. We loved it. We will be back. Sorry no pictures were added. We were too busy enjoying ourselves.
