Credit card surcharge when you place your own order in the store.

Place your own order, and pay a fee for doing it. This does not sit well and will deter me from coming back. If you are not paying an employee to take an order, you can eat the cc fee. Bad business here. If I came back I would pay cash and make them place the order. I would suggest you do the same to teach them proper business etiquette. And of course you get no tip when I do the work. Asking for one is also insulting. Food was tasty enough, flour taco shells were stiff, seeming stale. I don't think they were, I think it was due to prep. Chipotle is much better in this aspect. Give it is try, but bring cash.

Very clean inside, very friendly and inviting staff, freshest poke/raw fish I've found in the area. Ordered to go and even the to go packaging was top tier. They put the Mochi in a styrofoam container with ice to keep cold, they double wrapped my chopfin and taped the box, even the utensils were nice and not some cheap flimsy types. Quality clearly shows from start to finish. Only wish portions were slightly larger or priced slightly lower but it's reasonable for the quality you get. Individualized poke bowl - appears small but deceitfully filling, great tasting and good ingredients The chopfin - this is mostly for aesthetics and the gram. You barely get to eat any of the pineapple it comes in. The portion is decent but luckily the food is very fresh and tastes good but once again more looks than food Mochi - individualized prepackaged - likely just store bought - but still very much enjoyed though pricey Tl;dr freshest raw fish/poke I've found in the Lehigh area, portions aren't the biggest but top quality from the food, to service, to the to-go packaging

Beautiful ambiance, immediately when you walk in. Attentive staff and owner. The food is delicious and great portion sizes. Came back a second time.... hair was in our food and I asked for extras in my dish- was charged, they didn't include the extras and didn't listen to me asking for little rice. Won't be coming back

Create Your Own Burrito/Bowl & Cucumber Salad

The hype around this restaurant left us with high expectations and Chopin delivered, exceeding our expectations with their delicious combos of fish, fruit, veggies, rice and more. I ordered a create your own bowl with: salmon, ahi tuna, purple rice, pineapple, seaweed salad, radish, cucumbers, edamame, avocado and furikake with unagi and spicy ponzu sauces. It was delicious and so flavorful. I want another already! My husband had the Pineapple Express burrito and enjoyed every bite! We shared the cucumber salad and wish it was more pickled/vinegar-y but it was fresh and well-balanced. We ordered on Chopfin's website (www.chopfin.com) at 12:45 for a 1:15 pick up and we're happily surprised to receive a call at 1:06 that our food was ready so just pull up when we arrive. Fast and friendly service. I'll definitely be ordering again and trying more of the unique offerings at this new Lehigh Valley hotspot. Thanks for bringing a new, fresh, and healthy dining option to the Lehigh Valley.

I usually get a poke bowl, today I tried the tacos and I'm so glad I did. I loved the texture of ingredients. Next time you're in the area try them.

Excellent!! So happy I found this place. This was my first Sushi Burrito..Yum! I built my own however they do have some that are custom. Menu is awesome with a Great variety of dishes. I can't wait to try more items. Staff was super friendly and service was quick. This place is a must try. Price are reasonable and ingredients are super fresh. I can not wait to go back!!

    Lobster & Crab Avocado Boat - 5/10

Found out a new bubble tea and poke place was opening up and had to try them out. The staff were all new and still getting trained so it's a bit slow (which is expected for a new store). The 1 star rating is more on the food than the customer service. I ordered the lobster and crab avocado boat because it was unique to the area: Here how I would rate it: Taste: 6/10 - the avacado was kind of hard to eat and kind of bland Price - 7/10 - it's kind of expensive at $16 (but you are getting lobster and crab meat) Portion - 5/10 - I was still starving after it. My drink was taro bubble tea and main reason I gave this a 1 Star. I have tried bubble tea all over the lehigh valley (hipot (second best) poke kai (best), yaro (before they closed, mediocre bubble tea), aloha (Third best), bang bang, and etc). I have never threw away a drink but their drink was disgusting. I'm not sure if it's because they are just starting out but it's really bad. With all that being said, I usually give stores another chance and will come back in a few months after they have settled. For now I'll stick to my current go to.

I thought chopfin's poke bowl was really good! I did the build your own poke bowl with salmon and loved it! Really fresh seafood and ingredients!! Really helpful people inside. Very clean and new, I would try to come back and have some more for sure!

Ordered the High Roller. It was very good but would've liked less rice and more vegetables. Also ordered their signature dish. The chopfin. It came much later than the high roller. They are brand new and are getting situated it seems. The chopfin was delicious and presentation was above par. Bubble tea should be served with less ice.

Went there for first time today, I ordered the Chicken Quesadilla, it was REALLY GOOD. I have the sweet chili sauce on the side and it was def tasty. I will be going back for sure. Staff was very friendly and helpful as well..

Fresh, clean, friendly, tasty are the words that come to mind when eating here. Good menu with cooked and raw choices. The staff was attentive and engaging. Definitely a great choice for a quick meal!

    Bone from salmon...
    Rob M.

Bowl was good and roll was ok... I definitely do not appreciate bones in my fish! One of my biggest pet peeves! A little care during food prep should eliminate this in a cubed fish.

Significantly more generous portion sizes than Poke Kai. If you want poke in Allentown this is the only place worth going to by far

So much salt made my stomach sick. Tortillas were greasy. They charged me for limes to put on my soup!!!! WTH And the rice was pretty bad. My friend ordered chicken tacos and also were super salty! Cucumber lemonade was weird. Not sure why it had a neon lime green color Too sweet and didn't taste homemade. Just overall a bad experience.

Got an email from Yelp asking if I visited here and meant to write a review. I was visiting my…read moreparents over Mother's Day weekend. My mom wanted to include me on some trip with an overnight stay somewhere. I suggested Poconos, which we went to Jim Thorpe for a couple of hours to look around, but ultimately my mom wanted to go to Allentown for several reasons, mostly shopping considerations. One of the other considerations for Allentown was that my mom was really looking forward to another Mexican restaurant, a national chain, but when we got there, there was a sign on the door saying permanently closed and thanking customers for patronage. If they wanted to visit me, well the Columbia, MD location near where I live closed too. I felt bad for my mom (& my dad to a lesser extent). I desperately searched on Yelp, etc. Initially, we picked another local Mexican restaurant a few minutes from the large shopping center, but I said that's pretty bad the sign said the Restroom is out of order; I think we should look elsewhere, which my parents agreed. I suggested La Cocina del Abuelo in downtown Allentown. I said parking is probably street but should be free on a Sunday evening, which it is. We walked in and were the only customers. There were a few to go orders/deliveries. God bless this woman, who was our server, but was also running the kitchen, & getting pick-up/deliveries ready. I asked about enchiladas as I didn't see on the menu. She said it's part of their "secret menu", which is always an interesting concept. I was looking forward to enchiladas, getting 2 chicken & 1 steak, which comes with rice & black beans. My mom got tacos, and my dad got steak fajitas. Considering this woman was doing everything, the service was pretty quick. We all enjoyed our food. It was a large mound of rice, which was delicious eating all. Black beans & enchiladas were pretty solid too. The server gave a business card with a discount for next time. My dad happened to see I think 25% off on a discount app he has, which the server had no issue accepting. But this is where the business & server really earns the 5-stars. She gave flowers to my madre (mom) wishing her a happy Mother's Day, which was very nice, and above & beyond any usual restaurant experience. The only negatives were the tables were a little small for up to 4 people, but we managed fine. Also, while the restroom was clean, they were out of paper towels. My dad had mentioned it earlier, but she was very busy; so I'll give a pass on that. Overall, I highly recommend La Cocina del Abuelo for the excellent customer service & great food.

So this is a review, 13 years in the making…read more I used to work in the Allentown area and one of my coworkers suggested stopping for lunch. I had passed Cali Burrito several times but didn't know much about it. My life was forever changed. My tried and true order is the 'Humbolt". It's perfect in every way and it appeases to vegetarians and meat eaters alike. I have turned several of my friends, family and coworkers on to Cali Burrito over the years. Id like to mention I lived in San Diego and the burritos in Allentown, Pa far exceeded any burrito found in the Golden State. I now live in Virginia Beach area and my love for Cali Burritos knows no distance. Yesterday, I had to take a drive into the area and you better believe I stopped in for a burrito. 720 miles, round trip and worth every mile.

I finally managed to get my car in Cali's parking lot. But, I had to wait for another patron (which…read moredidn't take long) to arrive and I followed them into the restaurant. It's not easy to figure out where the enrtance is. Okay, so I ordered the the ground beef tacos for $12 bucks. You get 2 tacos in a basket with tortilla chips. The chips are a bit weird and different, still not sure how much I liked them. Like Moe's, they have a salsa bar with 4 salsa choices along with various condiments. The salsa's are tasty and I like the flavor in all 3 I tried. I ordered tacos and what they brought to my table resembled a tacos, but the taco expectation ended there. These so called tacos, to me, aren't realy tacos at all. Their assembelled usinf both a hard shell and a soft shell (Taco Bell offers something similar). Whatever you call it, taco is not the thought that comed to mind when eating it. I was hungry and did manage to eat both of the tacos, but considered throwing out the 2nd taco. I was confused and unsure what I was eating. The ground beef wasn't bad, but my main complaint at a Mexican Eatery nearby (Plaza Azteca} is the same. The ground beef is unseasoned. This is fundamentally wrong to me. All the Taco Kits at the grocery store come with a seasoning packet to add to the ground beef when preparing the tacos. I left unhappy, that's not to say I wouldn't try their burrito's. They looked good as seen on other patrons tables. I'm 70 years old and the theme of Cali reminds me of the 60's/70's. The decor, interior, and interior are psychedelic. Retro throwback to the hippie days. The staff reflects that theme - they came across in a kind weird way to me; but not in a bad way! Their is no shortage of happy campers enjoying their lunch (I went at 1PM). It seems like a cult following which speaks to the freshness and quality of the food served. I'm still unsure what was in the alleged tacos I ate. Lol!
