We found this place on Yelp, looking for ramen while we were briefly in the Allentown area. First off- the food was really good, once we figured out how to order on the tablets at the counter. This was actually a really good way to do things because it allowed us to review our choices before submitting. This is one of those places where you order at a counter and then people bring your food out to you. The menus on the wall didn't exactly match the ones in the tablets, but that was okay. I appreciated the open cooking area where we could see things being done. We started with gyoza and what was supposed to be calamari, but was definitely octopus. The octopus was a little chewier than we have previously experienced. I had the Black Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen and my hubs had the Takkii Beef Ramen, spicy, with extra beef. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I feel like I should note that we were there at traditional dinner time and they had many takeout orders but only two other tables had diners seated at them. We had good service too.

Gyoza was great, I prefer a bit crunchier texture, but this one was executed how you'd expect a gyoza to come to your table.

This spot had a good selection of Ramen choices and flavors and a diverse menu you'd expect at a ramen shop. Great prices, great atmosphere, I was a lot of customers come thru to pick it up to take home or DoorDash.

2nd time here, we dined in with our family of six. I got the Black Garlic Tonkatsu Ramen, So good! We weren't expecting too much as we had tried for the first time as take out a few years ago and were not that impressed then. Dining in has completely changed our minds and experience. They even made less seasoned chicken and rice and chicken ramen for our picky eaters. And the kids ate it all and asked for seconds! Max seating per table was for four so we split up between a table and high top seating and made it work. Also got passion fruit tea with mango popping boba and lychee jelly! Very good as well. We will be back! So happy to finally find a ramen place so close by!

We visited for dinner and the restaurant was empty. The decor is modern and clean. Their equipment looks very high end. You order at a screen, pay and then receive a number and take a seat. We ordered chicken karaage, one spicy miso with added cabbage and one black garlic tonkatsu. The appetizer arrived quickly. It was a nice portion and good cut of chicken meat. However the breading was scant, not what we're accustomed to. The sauce was tangy, but I didn't care for it. When we received our ramen the broth was just kind of warm. The flavor of the garlic tonkatsu was underwhelming. I tried my fiancé's spicy miso broth and the flavor was unappealing. Our eggs were ice cold and I gave mine to him. There were two pieces of pork, which was nice because they were smaller. They were charred on one side, but slightly over cooked. The pork is usually very tender when we've had it at other restaurants. The noodles are the thin straight variety, which is fine, but the option for wavy would be nice. My fiancé told me the cabbage in his was raw, just like what they used to garnish the karaage. Overall we were very disappointed. I'd like to see the business succeed. The two employees seemed very nice. Hopefully the owner reads the reviews and takes into consideration customer feedback. The broth flavors need improvement, the eggs should be warm, the broth should also be hot and the spoons are not very good for eating ramen with. If improvements are made I would eat here again.

We've been meaning to try this place out. Stopped in for Dinner on a Tuesday. Quick fast service, clean and delicious!! Took a star off because it seemed a bit pricey. $15 per item, almost NYC prices.... With that said, you get what you pay for, Beef Udon was very tasty, the miso ramen was great and the chicken curry was fresh and flavorful. It was all made to order nothing came from the fridge and was warmed up which is perfect! I'll be back for sure!!

First visit. Took 25 minutes to get the food. Nicely packaged. RIDICULOUSLY OVERPRICED! Good broth. Noodles and veggies were alright. The most outrageously small amount of tofu you could imagine... Literally less than 30 grams of it total (yes, I weighed it). WHAT?! For 14.95!!? You could get an entire full course dinner for that in a sit down full service restaurant. Better idea... Go to Phonom1nal on Cedar Crest. Great clean food and big portions... Including lots of protein. This place (Takkii Ramen) is just another example of a new business that's on course to go OUT of business because they're overcharging for cheap ingredients and hope their customers don't realize it.

I have heard about this Ramen shop some time ago; and finally had a chance to visit and taste their ramen recently. Menu selection was limited; but all I wanted was just Tonkotsu Ramen. I visited after 1:30pm on weekday, and was not busy at all. Ordered Black Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen...and just waited for less than 10 minutes for ramen to be served. ...was good things for sure. Well, first disappointment was that the bowl was made of paper. This may be due to COVID; but it was a bit disappointment for sure. But plastic spoon was good size and solid one...so, this was good. First I tasted the soup...hmmm, was luke warm, sadly. I really wish that soup temperature was a lot higher for hot ramen. Broth itself was good - good flavor and taste; so, soup temp was quite disappointment. Noodle was very thin and straight. I like this type of noodle with type of broth...Hakata style. Chashu Pork was...a slightly burned to black; thought it was too much burned and chewy, not soft and tender. Half boiled egg was quite cold, unfortunately. There was a quite amount of Kikurage and Shiitake mushroom pieces on...not much fun of dried Shiitake mushroom on ramen to be honest. I thought Shiitake was not necessary on this bowl. Two pieces of Nori and some Scallions on the surface...plus Naruto (fish cake). I had a high expectation...but unfortunately not my taste.

Really wanted to like this place as the pictures looked really good. Went in to place a takeout order 30 mins after opening time. No other patrons were in there and 3 employees were on the line. The one who took my order seemed like he wanted to be anywhere other than there while the other 2 were more friendly. When I got home I was so disappointed and felt like taking the food back. I can't believe I paid almost $15 for Sukiyaki and my plate looked like that. Barely any beef and what was there was full of fat. While it tasted good, the amount of rice to beef was extreme.

Love the salad dressing, I'm picky with dressing, but the ginger sauce here is on point! The calamari was also good, very crunchy on the outside. The tofu teriyaki was tasty. The wait staff was clearly not happy about this, as they were a bit snippy in their interactions with us-- a bit disheartening, again, as there was still a whole hour before they were scheduled to shut. Thankfully, for them, our order was pretty simple. We both ordered a miso soup, house salad, and shared an avocado roll, and tempura plate. The avocado roll was perfect; ripe and thickly-cut avocado, not too much rice, and rolled tightly so it didn't fall apart. The miso soup and salad were good; they soup was a pinch bland, but nothing a few drops of soy sauce can't fix, and the dressing on the salad was delicious. The items in the tempura plate were fried in different kinds of batter-- given it came out pretty fast, it made me suspect different pre-packaged varieties, but it was a tasty and simple dish so I was unbothered. The next day, we ended up coming back before our flight for a quick lunch. Same treatment; Very nice host, curt wait staff-- Either they remembered us as the couple that kept them from leaving early the night before, or that's just how they are. We ordered the same thing, minus the tempura plate, and plus a yellowtail carpaccio. Everything we ordered previously was just as good as the night before. The carpaccio was good as well; Nothing to write home about, but the fish was fresh and the sauce was tasty. As this was the only restaurant we ate at during our brief stint in Allentown, I'm overall happy with our experience-- minus the demeanor of the employees. While I highly doubt I'll ever find myself in Allentown again, I would certainly dine there again if the opportunity presented itself.
