We tried Lou House Asian Restaurant based on good reviews. We will not return. It's in a strip mall off Tilghman St. It is clean, kind of dark, with a loop of elevator music playing. Ate here on a whim after we did a local escape room. We were in the mood for sushi. We order crab Rangoon, a California roll and a cucumber roll. All those things were great. We also ordered Chicken Pad Thai to split. This was just ok. It was a little watery and the noodles were like spaghetti noodles. The chicken was slimy which was concerning. Had a large to-go order, and everything was disappointing. Any noodles in the order tasted stale and were chunked together and broke off easily. The vegetables that were supposed to be in meals were basically non existent. There were 2 mistakes with the sushi order... I didn't bother calling to inform them of anything because from experience once before, they'll just be rude about it and fix nothing. A few years back, I used to eat at Liu's religiously and food was amazing. Just feels recently it's gotten worse and worse. Food quality has definitely declined. For this area, Liu's is top-notch. Blows Teppan away, in fact I don't think we will ever return to Teppan with Liu's being so darn good. The sushi here is fresh fresh fresh! They do have a very large variety of specialty rolls, but I steer more towards the simple. I think some of their specialty rolls have way too much going on (too many ingredients), I don't order them very often. My dining companions have ordered non-sushi items such as chicken curry, shrimp and scallops, egg rolls, and all those items were top notch as well The vegetables fresh and perfectly cooked, not overdone, still had some "crisp" factor. The sauces were spectacular and the chicken, shrimp and scallops I tasted were excellent. This place does a very brisk take-out business. There are always people coming to pick up take-out. Dine-in service is great. The waitresses are very attentive, friendly and quick to respond. The only negative is Liu's is small, they have already outgrown this space, they need to expand! Overall excellent, this is our "go-to" sushi place when visiting Lehigh Valley. We ordered an appetizer of the pork dumplings (very very good), as well as the crab rangoon (also very good). Both of the apps were larger than we would have wanted, because we could barely finish our meal. The crispy salmon skin roll is excellent, as is the eel (though my wife didn't like it). This is the worst restaurant in the Lehigh Valley. It's not because of the food, although it was pretty bland. It's because they stole money from us. We paid for an appetizer and after driving home and seeing they didn't include it, they refused to refund our money. We don't exactly live around the corner. The only offer for THEIR MISTAKE was to give us a free appetizer the next time we order. Unfortunately, we don't eat at restaurants that steal from their patrons. The app was $12 by the way.
