I called to get an estimate about rebuiling the carb on my riding mower. We duscussed the options. The owner was crass to begin with. Very indefferent about whether he got my business. I asked for a range low to high on pricing. He was reluctant but said i am not cheep. I said i agree. He then prceeds to tell me it sounds like you are just looking for the cheapest way out so take it to TrueValue. I told him not to make assumotions about what i am looking for or how much i am willing to spend. He got really crass at that point and told me to take it somewhere else. I reminded him this is a small town and you should not treat people like this. He could care less. He apperently feels like he is gods gift to small enigine repair. Well guess what. I will take my business else where not because of pricing but because if his I dont give a crap if i get your business or not attitude. I should mention durring the estimate conversation her was all over the place from 75 to 500. A wierd quote given that i told hime exactly what engine i have. He kept saying it depends on what you have even after i told him. He was clearly setting me up for a big price with the whole, yours was more expensive line after i brougjt it in. Thats why he would not committ to a price. I recommend you go where your business is appreciated. The stress of a broken yard implement is stress enough without the added stress of a shop insulting you and being non commital on price. Attitude is everything and this place has a very bad one. Tim is great I have done business with choppers for many years! However this morning I call and get the most rude lady that answered the one and was completely rude when I asked if she can have Tim help me. Now I can saw I will not be doing business with choppers. Over the person he has answering phones. I will not be recommending chopper to anyone. read more

I have been going to these guys for a couple years. These guys are very helpful and knowledgeable! I was new to the whole chainsaw experience , they helped me choose a saw best for my needs and they were right on! So for several years I've taken my stuff in for maintenance and when I have had issues. The guys help me and have taught me some good tricks and tips to keep an eye on my saws performance. Several times they helped me and fixed a small item free of charge even for their time. Great businesses like this are going to be busy.. cause they are the best game in the Sierra's! Worth the wait.. personal service is top notch; wish I had bought ALL of my extensive collection of power tools from them! Have had repairs done in less than the stated two to three week wait (it's peak season, folks!); was called back 5 days later on a large chainsaw left in the woods through winter: repair half the quote, ready to go! They have a very good stock and selection of tools.. and extensive knowledge and experience dealing with the needs of the Mountain Community.. must be why so many tree professionals are regular customers! read more

I took my tiller in for a no start repair. I was told they were very busy and it would take 2 weeks. After 4 weeks and no call, I checked and was told it needed a part and would be one more week. After another week and no call, I checked back and was told the part was wrong and another week was needed for repair. When questioned about the time I was told they were very busy and took things as first come, first served. They were busy when they quoted 2 weeks. Now I'll be lucky if it's 6 weeks. This is one local business I will not support in the future. read more
