Music way too loud, way too inappropriate when children are around, smells like weed and costs way too much. I want to come to a barber shop, not a night club. The last place I'd gotten cuts at even showed nudity on the tv when a kid was in there. No class, so I never went back. I've hopped around for a few years trying to find a new regular shop and I'm glad to have discovered The Barber Shop. The parking can be a little tricky, but once you're inside, you're immediately greeted by a professional and kind barber. The shop is spotless, clean, and open. The signage on the walls are a very nice touch to let you know this is a safe and professional space. I've only worked with one barber in particular and I keep coming back because of the quality of his cuts and again, his courteous demeanor and professionalism. That man is Jay! The first time I came in for a cut, I didn't have an appointment, but he was able to fit me in pretty immediately and a young man came in selling aguas and fruit and Jay asked if I liked horchata. I said who doesn't? how much is it? And he told me "don't worry about it. I got you." What? that was the nicest thing. I need to make it more of a point to go regularly instead of once every few months so I stop looking like a monchichi lol.
